I love this brand (Born has been great for me!). And I've purchased the Julianne in this color before. The previous version was great - although after a couple of years of regular use, I needed to get another pair. I don't know what's happened to Born in the last couple of years but even though I ordered the same size and color...it really felt like a quarter size too small. And even after wearing it a bit over the last year, it hasn't really stretched.

I ordered the wide width. It is not wide. In fact, the "wide" is very narrow. I can't imagine what the regular width is like. The shoe seemed like it would be comfortable besides that.

I'm back on Zappos looking for comfortable black flats and I was reminded that I've had these shoes for FOUR years, so here's the deal - I bought these because I love Born's boots. The flats are a miss though - the style looks orthopedic and boring, and they're not comfortable. They've been sitting in my closet and I only wear them when I absolutely have to. I wear no-show socks and the back of these shoes eats my ankles alive, I have to wear bandages if I want to wear these and the bandages barely mitigate the pain. Aesthetically - the toe box will start to indent and look lumpy. Two stars because they're easy to clean, and the toe box is nice and wide.

The toes are curved upward (I guess because of the elastic around the opening) and makes the shoe look silly. Doesn't look better with foot in the shoe. I ordered a 6 initially that didn't look like that but they were too tight so I ordered a 6.5, but these look weird as stated. Comfortable so I might put up with this at a lower price point but not at almost $100.

I wish I had returned these. I get blisters every time I wear them. They are cute and nice quality but I have to wear band-aids or tape or they will rip up my feet. I added heel pads which helped. Very disappointed, I had high hopes with all the other great reviews.

I bought the mango ones because I needed some new summer/fall flats after I had worn through the heels of a pair of beloved Timberlands. These were great to start -- the color is beautiful -- but the leather and finish is very delicate and they got worn, scuffed, and dirty very easily. I only ever wore them to work --I wasn't going hiking in them or anything -- and I am disappointed that after only a few months of wear they look terrible. Like all Borns, they are of course very comfortable, but this is a lot of money for shoes that I probably won't wear again next year. Perhaps other colors are better -- or I'm just hard on shoes -- but these were not worth it.

I've been wearing Born Julianne's since they first came out. I loved them so much that I got married in them! I would run a pair into the ground and then I would buy another pair. I've purchased them in every color. Sadly, they have stopped making them in the way they used to. The leather is now rigid and uncompromising. The pair I bought recently scratched the back of my feet up and left two huge blisters on the side of my feet that have taken weeks to heal. These went from the kind of shoes that i could wear right out of the box to shoes that I can't wear for 10 minutes without suffering major repercussions. Goodbye Born Julianne.

These run small. I’m somewhere between a 7.5 and 8 (usually 8s are a bit long on me but I appreciate the extra width in an 8) and in these, the 8 was short. The toe box is not high enough, and as soon as I put them on, I could see the top end of my big toe pressing up into the top of the shoe. It’s a shame because these felt generally supportive for a ballet flat. Back they go.

I order these on repeat, once a year or so. They're so comfortable while still being stylish. I wish they had more colors.

I love these shoes….the leather is soft and the style is classic. This is a great neutral color.

This is a nice basic ballet flat. The leather is soft and the foot bed is excellently padded.

These are comfy, easy-to-throw-on ballet flats. The color is a soft fawn - a perfect neutral for any outfit.

Absolutely love these shoes. Very comfortable with more support than most ballet slippers. The leather is soft yet holds it’s shape. The soles have a good grip. My go-to shoes during the summer. May run a bit wide.

I love this shoes- have it 3 colors. Wish it was available in white or light grey

I love Born shoes and have purchased them for many years, always in Size 9.5, until I tried this style. Unfortunately I had to return the 9.5 for size 10, which fits perfectly.

I love these. LOVE THEM. You can't beat them for comfort, they're simple, and they're great. I have a pair in brown and they only lasted a year - that is disappointing. The back wore out (literal hole) too soon, IMHO (shouldn't shoes last more than a year if you don't wear them every day?). But this pair in black - still going strong.

These are really comfortable flats almost like ballet flats with a small heel. They fit true to size.

These are my almost daily wear shoes in my warm climate. I work in a school and I walk and am on my feet much of the day. The leather absorbs smells and I don’t have to worry about stink despite not wearing socks. I love these shoes! Plus, I have been wearing them for nearly a year and they still look great.

These are fabulous. I wish they had an 8 but I had to get 8.5. They are a tad big BUT THEY TOTALLY WORK. Definitely will keep my eye out for the 8 in a tan color!

comfortable, gray more dark silver than grey

I have several pairs of these super comfortable shoes in size 7.5 that I have ordered over the past few years. This time, though, the 7.5 seemed too small and tight, so I reordered in size 8 and that feels fine.

This is my 5th time buying theses shoes 3 pair in black, 1 blue and 1 brown. I have short wide feet and the wides are perfect for me. The leather molds to your foot quickly and they don’t bite my heels. I’ve tried cheaper shoes and they tear up my feet. Always go back to these.
