This is my first rain jacket and I love it. It fits me perfect and I have used it several times since it has been raining. I'm buying another one in a different color.

This jacket is perfect for rainy days. It keeps you totally dry and looks very good with any outfit. But if you are looking for something for cold weather this isn't probably your best option.

I have worn this coat twice so far & am quite pleased! The hood is well constructed & handy - no need for an umbrella while running errands in the rain! Roomy enough for layering but still a flattering fit....I am 5'7" and 155 lbs. Purchased the large and it fits nicely! Thanks again Columbia - for being a brand I can rely on!l

So some quick facts: I'm 5'4, 170 lbs and I live in Texas.
I truly love this jacket. It doesn't rain all the time in Texas, but when it does, you want a raincoat, and preferably light weight since it's always hot. I've owned this jacket for about a year and it's perfect most of the time. I would say that I went to Colorado with this coat in the summer and we went on top of one of the mountains and it was SO COLD. This did nothing for keeping me warm and if you're buying it for that, you'd be wasting your money, but if you want something that will keep you dry and is lightweight, it's a great jacket!

I love this jacket, and have no real complaints to date, the only thing that I did not realize when I purchased this jacket was that it has dual zippers as the main closure, which can be a little tricky, especially when putting the jacket on. If the two zippers are not perfectly aligned when you zip the jacket up, the only way to get it back off is to pull it over your head and then spend twenty minutes manipulating the zippers until you get them both back open again. All-in-all would buy again, but would probably buy in store to see if other jackets have the same issue as the one I currently have.

I received my trench and we are in a season of rain everyday so I have gotten lots of use. It runs small so i ordered extra large and glad I did.
I ordered Ruby Red which really is a hot pink/fuschia color. I really wanted Red but like this color anyway just know there is not one inkling of red in the color.
It is great to repell rain and keep you dry.

I purchased this item after spending many mornings and afternoons getting drenched while dropping/picking up my preschoolers from school. I like that it is longer and covers my bum and although I am on the shorter side (5'2) I think it would still cover a taller ladies backside as well.
I purchased an XL because I have a larger chest size and wanted to ensure it would fully zip across my chest, even while wearing a sweater or layers.
I like that the trench tie is actually part of the jacket - it doesn't bunch up when you tighten it. And it doesn't have the opportunity to fall off.
I purchased the jacket in red hibiscus but it is closer to a dark coral. I chose this color so I would always notice it in case I left it lying somewhere and it makes me easier to be seen when I'm walking through a rainy parking lot, waiting for my kiddos, or walking down the street.
I would recommend this coat.

I live in Florida. Our "winter" is rainy and gets down to the low 30s for a little while. This raincoat is indeed only a shell, however when I paired it with a Columbia fleece pullover it was warm enough to wear while riding my bike to school on our chilliest days. And I am a wuss about the cold! I appreciate the fact that it is so thin and lightweight because as the day warms up I can easily remove a layer and place it in my backpack without it taking up too much room. By itself this is a wonderful raincoat. It has a rear vent that helps when it is warm or humid as well as a very nice large hood that has enough stiffness to hold its shape and act as a small rain visor when needed. The fit is very chic thanks to the tie-belt. The pockets are large and have zippers. A great product!

Very satisfied with my purchase. Not what I thought it was on line, but will be very useful come warmer weather.

The fabric on this jacket is wonderful. I also love that it provides a bit more protection than most zip up rain jackets.

This is the rain coat I have sought for years! Perfect fit, quality construction. The stylish trench design makes even jeans look uptown and can, of course, be worn with my business casual outfits as well. The red hibiscus color simply glows and makes rainy days bright. I am going to get the fossil color next so I can wear it year round. This is a must-have jacket!

I love this jacket. It keeps me protected from the wind. Have not yet tried it in the rain. The only issue I have had with it is the zipper. It is very difficult to zip up. Don't know if this is typical or a malfunction with my coat. Otherwise this jacket is great. Will recommend to everyone.

I just purchased .....and I absolutely love it .I wore it in our northern snow/sleet/rain and it was just as it stated waterproof!!!! If u want it for both winter & spring just add a fleece as others have also recommended. As for size I'm 5" 11& 215lbs an I bought an XL the plus size would have been to big so I would purchase ur size as is recommended on there size chart
Hopefully this is helpful;)

I'm so excited to see these colorful rain jackets with xs size for small lady like me. it's so handy in Portland where rains a lot. I can see why some customers think it is too small, but if you are slim, this jacket make you stand out. On the first day I ware it to the supermarket, 3 ladies walked to me and asked me where I got it and how much I paid. It's an eye catcher. Thank you Columbia for making this type of jackets available for skinny ladies like me. This the most beautiful rain jacket I have seen.

I got the red jacket. Under certain lighting it looks orange, but overall it's the perfect rain jacket to brighten up your rainy day.

I ordered this in black and loved it so much I ordered it in red also. It fits really well, is lightweight, and looks great on. The best part is that it keeps you dry, but breaths well so you don't feel like your sealed in :)

Wore this every day in Paris last month. Wonderfully light, and with layers underneath, it was warm enough. Great water repellancy. I did get a bit clammy with exercise because it does not breathe as much as the expensive fabrics, but still a pretty perfect coat. Looks great with jeans or a skirt. Sleeves are a bit long, but I folded the cuffs over and this was OK.

I am normally a medium but was concerned because my arms are so long, but I still purchased the Medium size and it was perfect length. I like the way it fits and looks. It is a little thin so it requires another fleece if you are trying to stay warm as well.

I've only worn this jacket a few times now, but it is absolutely perfect for me. Living in Portland OR area is a real test for it and so far, so good. My only issue would be the belt....why do they make them higher up than an average waist is?

I live in a place where it would be more appropriate to wear a swim suit than clothes so having a rain jacket is essential. There isn't a lot of warmth to the jacket but that is a nice feature for me so I can wear it on a 60 degree day or a 30 degree day and vary my layers accordingly. The zipper can be catchy which is why I gave it a "4" on the quality scale. Other than that this is a diverse, functional and stylish jacket worthy of it's price tag.

The color and style very nice after I took off the belt and allowed for the fit by buying a size larger than I would have normally. So far has kept me dry and comfortable, but have not given the absolute test of driving rain.

I usually wear a medium, but based on the reviews I ordered a large because in the spring and fall I'll wear a fleece underneath. I'm glad I did -- It's a perfect fit over the fleece, and it still looks like a good fit without the fleece. I also love the oversize hood, which should protect my glasses from the rain, and the long sleeves that actually come down past my wrists (I have long arms, and that's a problem sometimes). On top of everything else, the jacket is really cute -- I got the red hibiscus. I haven't actually had a chance to wear it yet because it won't stop snowing, but it seems like it will keep me dry.

I wore my new raincoat for the first time today in the pouring Oregon rain and it was comfy, cozy and warm. The fabric is very light so I wore a light fleece jacket under the coat and it kept me perfectly warm and dry. The fit is stylish and flattering for a raincoat but has enough room to layer it as needed for the cold. Because of its lightness it will pack and travel very well. I am a medium and the fit is perfect. I would highly recommend this light raincoat for its high quality and good looks.

I ordered this trench to take on a trip to Iceland, and I was grateful to have it every single day! I love that it was lightweight enough to stash in my daypack but substantial enough to get the job done.
Although it's not rated to be completely water proof, this jacket kept me completely dry even in a steady rain. The quality is even higher than I expected.
I ordered a medium and feel it fits true to size. The belt keeps it from being boxy or bulky looking, but there is still ample room to layer up underneath. In fact, I was even able to layer it over my Mighty Light jacket on a couple of occasions.
The quill color is a lovely purple... pretty but still muted enough to be somewhat of a neutral.
This jacket exceeded my expectations, and it will remain a wet weather staple now that I'm back home.
