This was my first minimalist shoe and at 4mm differential was an edging into 0 drop running. I am primarily using the shoe for 6-7 mile trail runs and 3-4 mile tempo runs on a track/cement even though it is not intended for that terrain. You definitely can feel the ground well in these, but the Vibram outsole provides decent protection. One of my main issues with the 10v2 is the tendency for my foot to over pronate (even more so than when barefoot). I remember reading online that other runners were having similar issues. Upon stepping down, the medial part of my foot wants to hang over the sole and thus my foot pronates even more so before stabilizing. I've run my longer distances ok without this being a problem, but my ankles do feel a little damaged for about 24 hours before recovering. With the pronation issue resolved, this shoe would be one of my favorites by far. It's light, promotes good form, and handles well on both trail, track, and even road (but for nothing over 5 miles otherwise you will feel it afterward). I plan to pick up a pair in orange as well once my current pair go kaput. I have about 50 miles on them and they are still holding up well, with minor wearing on the Vibram sole.

These are a great quality and comfortable minimalist shoe. They are perfect if you don't want to run barefoot. They seem to be about a half size small and are narrow in the arch.

I absolutely love these shoes, in fact these are my 8th pair. I wear them for everything from general walking around to distance running. Walking in them, they get pretty good wear and have lasted me nearly a year with some pairs, that's with everyday use and walking several miles a day. With running, I can get about 300 or so miles out of them before the strike point completely wears out. Its unfortunate they wear out so fast in that respect because the uppers and 90% of the sole will be completely fine, even new looking. I particularly like these blue/yellow shoes for the vibrant color. These are my first pair of the V2 line, looks like the only difference is the hexagon shaped sole grips.

Great shoe, have used them for daily for couple months now for running on mostly cement and roads.

I bought the wide version for my caveman feet and fits like a glove. Very comfortable to walk in, no arch support though so standing can be tedious after a while.

I'm extremely tall and my 300lb gives shoes a real workout. They age pretty quick. When I first got them they were really tight. Not wow-these-are-snug tight but oh-my-god-I'm-sending-them-back tight. I had to wear them without socks the first time because there was no other choice. A week later they loosened up in the heal and toe and now I can wear socks with them no problem but the middle is still tight like a vice. They are great on concrete or solid rock, broken rock is another story. The lack of padding means rocks about the size of your mouse cause problems both with grip and with impact discomfort. Fortunately I don't have much broken rock so I gave them 4 stars.

I needed a shoe that favored running on the balls of me feet to help with my knees aching after run and I wish to run outdoors in fields and grass. These shoes let me accomplish both goals.
They are incredibly, light, breath in heavily from the front of the shoe. I wear them barefoot and wash them afterwards if left in a dryer they do shrink.
When I first ran with the shoe I began getting blisters most likely because I had never run on the balls of my feet before. After the first week that never returned.
Sexiest pair of shoes I've ever owned.

This review is based on a size 13 pair of these shoes. I found these shoes to be a bit too small in length. My feet are on the large side of 13 in length, so if your feet are on the short side of 13 you should be fine. If you wear smaller than a 13, I'd order a half size larger than usual. If you are a size 13, I'd consider ordering a 13 and a 14, if you can, to compare at home and return the one that doesn't fit. Pros: The forefoot strap does a good job of holding your foot in place. Lightweight. Good ventilation. Cons: Runs a bit short. Difficult to get heel to stay put even using a lace-lock loop at top. You really feel pointy obstructions like sharp rocks through the gaps in the sole. (Example: A path had some grape-sized crushed granite scattered about, and really had to be careful about foot placement because of it.) Despite the well-padded tongue the laces I can feel the laces quite a bit. Comparison: I purchased a pair of Merrell Trail Glove 2 shoes at the same time. Despite having less padding on the tongue and a heel cup that felt a bit wide for me, the Merrell laces are quite comfortable, and using the extra top eyelet on the Merrells to make a lace-lock I was able to really keep my heel in place. The length on the Merrell shoes was better too. (See my review of them for more info.) The outcome is that the Merrells are my go-to shoes and these New Balances are my backups.

They are great shoes. I like the minimus style. I've been a heel-runner all my life. It wasn't until someone told me about toe-running that I decided to give these shoes a try. The 2E width fits well despite the fact that I'm a 4E. I would just like to try a bigger width to try for a perfect fit.

Great shoe, a little tough on fit due to the "barefoot" nature. Originally ordered a 12 but my foot slipped around in it. 11.5 works better, but if I wear the wrong socks it feels too cramped.

Most of these types of shoes are over-priced for what you get in terms of material. But when it's not exactly a mainstream type of shoe, and you wear an uncommon shoe size like me (size 14) you are stuck paying these kinds of prices.

After recommendations from support staff that New Balance tend to run wide (for my wide feet) I saw that these came in EE Wides and was super happy. Once I got the shoes they felt at least a size too small, so I would recommend at least one size larger than needed. The construction seemed nice for the minimalist shoe lover. Wish I could have tried them outside.

I put some serious mileage into these. Disappointed in the material. Owned previous pair of New Balance minimalist shoes and the material is great and holds up over time. This shoe is holding up great so far, but the material is obviously cheaper and there is visible glue around the shoe. Due to this change in material I wouldn't recommend running barefoot in these. I got a blister from the friction. I will not buy these shoes again. Bummer because I loved the previous model.

Just like my last pair of New Balance Minimus branded shoes the quality is suspect. Out of the box each shoe had adhesive smeared on the toe and a gap between the sole and the top of the shoe at the tip. Fortunately, the gaps haven't separated any more. It looks like crap though and it's not like the shoes don't draw attention to themselves. In my mind they are an embarrassment to USA manufacturing. I don't mind the highlights, but when I bought them I wished they had a more neutral color. These are intense and don't really match anything I own. Unlike the MT20V2 that feel almost like paper or a thin canvas, these feel like a wet suit on your feet. The material is thick and stretchy. I preferred the lighter feeling and thinner MT20V2. Unfortunately, they tore where my foot ends and my toe starts. So that's why I tried these. Overall, it hard to recommend this shoe due to the spotty quality. If returning this shoe wasn't a pain, I would have done so. The New Balance brand is trying my loyalty.

My feet roll in. I can never remember if that's over or under pronation. When I've put a lot of miles on a pair of shoes, my feet feel like the slide to the inside when I put them on. That's how these feel out of the box. For some people, these are likely good shoes, but I'm returning them.

I normally wear a 4mm drop (Pure Flow 2) and these are a slight extension over those. There is almost no padding as expected so they are more like a Vibram 5 fingers. I have worn these running a few times and as casual shoes for about 10 days total.
My only issue with these is craftsmanship. After these 10 wears, the lugs on the right shoe are starting to separate from the sole! That is pretty bad for such an expensive shoe.

Fit is perfect. Heel cup is very comfortable and there is a nice wide toe box. My only complaint is that the rubber on the toe started to delaminate after wearing them only once. I had to super glue them on the first day....not what I was expecting from a minimalist shoe in this price range.

Very narrow shoe, even when ordering extra wide (2E) and half size bigger. If you have even remotely wide feet, stay away from this shoe.
