If you are a runner this is what you need to know. 1. low heel drop but with sufficient cushion so your feet aren't "kissing" the road. 2. if you do a lot of road running, these hold up. My second pair. Just enough to cushion the blow of the pavement. 3. wider toe box. 4. Half the tongue is attached, so it wont budge during a run. This gives an even ride for your feet, legs, and back. True to size. I am an 8.5 most of the time, and an 8.5 fit perfectly.

I really, really wanted these shoes to work. I love the color, the looks and the feel of the shoe. Unfortunately, due to the lacing being on an angle, I was unable to snug the heel to stop the shoe from slipping. I am afraid I would develop blisters. It appears I will have to stick with my Brooks Ghost 5, I just wish they would come up with more colors!
The toe box is more narrow than other Brooks shoes I have tried and I am not sure how they would have held up in a half marathon race.

Very disappointed! I loved the original Brooks PureFlow but the PureFlow 2 does not fit the same. Normally wear an 8 but the new Flow2 is too long and the 7 1/2 is too small. The new Flow2 is not as comfortable as the original. Trying the Cadence2 instead.

Cute shoes but I needed half a size bigger than what I normally wear. They were very comfortable when I first tried them on...my first time running in them I went 4 miles and the heel on my left foot was rubbed raw, through my socks! It took several weeks to heal. Zappos refused to take them back because I had gone outside in them. Luckily for me, Brooks was great and took them back. They sent me a different pair that I'm very happy with. I would recommend buying these directly from Brooks or trying them on from a running store so that you know they'll let you try them outside.

Love these so much. It's hard to review running shoes because how they feel is SO subjective. BUT. Had 2 pairs of the Pure Flow 1, switched to a pair of Saucony's, hated them, came back to these. They are light and flexy but have good cushioning, they hug my feet without being tight but with adequate toe room, the burrito style tongue is the BOMB, and the hot pink rocks. I feel light and springy in them. I had no issues w/sizing being different from the 1st gen. Pure Flows, I'll be faithful from now on!

I just received this shoe yesterday and wore it for a run this morning. I don't normally like to write reviews; however, I used the comments for this shoe to help me make the decision to buy them...so pay it forward! These shoes are fantastic! I have always worn Nike or Asics, and swore by them. Lately I felt they weren't working well, hence trying Brooks. They fit perfectly, some room in the foot bed, snug around the heel for no slippage. True to size, I usually wear an 8 and that's what I got. My foot does run on the narrow side, but these give the perfect amount of extra room for running. Lightweight, so comfortable! And always awesome service from Zappos!

I just upgraded to these from the Pureflow 1 and they are great! Still a perfect middle ground between traditional running shoes and minimalist shoes. The lower heel is great for working toward a mid-foot strike, and is better for walking (which, let's be real, I do more than running). They fixed the tongue so it no longer slides off to the side, and the curved laces fit nicely on my high insteps. They are very light and flexible and just feel great.

Love these. I have owned over 100 pairs of running shoes and these are in the top 5. Very comfortable. Just waiting for new, better colors to buy another pair.

I hoped this would be as comfortable as the Books PureFlow 1 that I purchased last year. It just doesn't fit my foot the same or feel as good.

I am a nurse and I am on my feet for 12+ hours at a time. The Brooks brand was recommended by a couple of coworkers so I thought I'd try them. I thought my Dansko's were the only shoe for me until trying these. They are so light and comfortable! After wearing them a week and then wearing my Dansko's again, my feet hurt like crazy. I will buy Brooks' again and again.

Bought these for my daughter who is a runner for Xmas. The service was fast! She wears a 1/2 size larger than her everyday shoes and finds these great to fun in!

I love these shoes and got two pairs. They fit great and have a wide toe box which helps with my tendency to get nerve flare ups from my morton's neuroma. I love that the tongue is fixed in place and never creeps down into my shoe.

This is one of the best running shoes I've had in a long time! I'm 5'9, weigh 150lbs and am a long-distance runner (up to 14 miles) and this is the best shoe for someone who doesn't need a lot of support but wants cushion in a lightweight shoe. Go Brooks!

I am a neutral runner. I had been running in Brooks Ghosts, but I wanted less shoe to work with. They are not quite minimalist shoes as the cushioning is superior and comparable to normal shoes. I wore these in training and racing Ironman triathlons, so I would say they hold up well on concrete for long distances. However, I do not think that they work well for trail running, even a relatively smooth trail with little bits of gravel as they do not get enough grip.

I had the original Pureflow and then these, the pureflow2. I really like the improvements they made--they addressed my only complaints with the first generation and i have even ordered 2 more pair of the 2nd generation. I use the shoes primarily for group fitness workouts and shorter treadmill runs at the gym--4 miles or less (I run in newton's for longer distances) and have been so pleased! given the more minimal nature of the shoe, they do seem to breakdown faster, but I'm okay with that. would definitely recommend!

These are stabilizing shoes with comfort built in. I ran my first triathlon in them and wear them running around my neighborhood. A great shoe! I wear a size a half bigger in all my running shoes. True to size.

Great running shoe! I bought these to replace my Brooks PureFlow 1. I use them on road for a variety of distances (5 to 20+ miles). I usually have a heel slippage issue w/ road shoes, but so far not with this version (maybe due to the angled lacing?). Arch support is good and they are true to size. They are lightweight and give a minimal feel without sacrificing cushioning and support completely.

Hands down this is my favorite running shoe. It's part of Brooks' minimalist line and while that's a bit of a stretch (these shoes are bouncy and definitely have some nice cushy support) the 4 mm heel toe drop will definitely have you working those calves! The shoe is light and has enough space in the toe box to spread those toes! Overall if you're looking to transition to a more minimalist style of shoe, this would be a great transition model.

I love these shoes. They are lightweight but supportive. I ran my first 10 K in them this weekend and they were great. Looks nice, fits well. I also had the PureFlow first gen shoe and liked that too.

Just received these in the mail and will have to order the next half size up since they don't come in wide. I normally wear a 6.5 in regular shoes and go up a half size for my running shoes. I ordered a 7, but will have to try the 7.5. I'm training for a road ultra marathon and I've been using the Brooks PureConnect 2 in a 7 and the Brooks Adrenaline GTS 12 in a 7.5 (they are a little too long but I got a great deal on them.) I'm a forefoot runner and they both have good support but are wearing out quickly for my technique. These PureFlow 2s seem to have the right amount of support and durability for a forefoot runner.

My wife loves the shoes. They do run a bit small so you need to choose 1/2 size larger. The first pair was a little too small. I spent about 3 minutes on Zappos website and had the return completed and the new pair of shoes on the way. The prepaid airbill printed and the new shoes arrived the next day! Zappos rocks!

I needed a shoe with a little more cushioning/support than the PureConnect for long road runs (training for my 1st marathon). This shoe was it for me! I just ordered my second pair!
