For those of you considering this jacket, I thought I'd post these initial comments as I usually find the reviews very helpful in considering a purchase and sizing. I am 5'5" and weigh 140 and purchased the size XL based on another review. It just arrived and I am exchanging it for a L and would have ordered a M too if they were available, to be certain as I'm leaving for a month long trip shortly. I am wondering if sizing has changed since the previous reviewer's comments, as I found the XL supremely large in every area; arm length was over my hands. I like the idea of having room for sweaters, etc., but the overage is significant, hence why I'm indicating NA on sizing. The jacket is cute as everyone commented on, so I'm hopeful the L works for me when it arrives. Have to say I love Zappos and their return and exchange process; thank you!

This is a great raincoat. It's a great waterproof shell that has a feminine fit and looks stylish enough to wear out on a chilly or wet evening. I must have a pretty big head because I often find that hoods don't quite cover all of my head. This one does, it even has a slight brim to it. If you zip/snap the coat up all the way, it keeps the hood in place very well, but there are drawcords if you want to tighten the opening further. I am 5'7", about 135, my bust is 34D, and I think I have slightly broad shoulders/long arms because I often find that sleeves are too short or tops are tight across the shoulders. I bought this jacket in medium, and it fits me great. It is just a shell though, there is no lining, so if you are planning to use this as an outer layer in cold weather, then perhaps go up a size. I can fit a fleece vest under this, but not much more. I think if I tried a long sleeved fleece, the arms would be a little light. I've been searching for a "dressier" raincoat --basically a step up from a slicker or something sporty looking-- this fits that bill. And it's better than a trench coat because it has a working hood and is waterproof as opposed to water resistant.

This very well made light weight, lined jacket with a hood is great for wet or windy weather. Perfect for travel! Two exterior and one interior pocket have hidden zippers under tailored plackets. I consistently wear medium size but ordered a large based on other reviews. I'm glad I did. The flatteringly fitted jacket has princess seams. (This style won't work for thicker waistlines.) The larger size is just barely roomy enough for me to wear a sweater under it in cooler weather. It actually fits like a medium instead of a large, including through the shoulders and sleeve length. The cuff and hood openings are adjustable. Besides looking really good on, I especially like the collar which stands up when zipped and protects the neck, and looks good unzipped. Great length will cover tunics. This jacket is ideal.

I love this jacket!! I saw someone wear it on a trip in Portugal so I saw its rain repellent feature in action. I love the color - so bright and cheery. It has a feminine cut which is flattering, but it does run small if you intend to wear layers under it. I had to order a large and I usually wear a size 8-10 or medium.

I ordered this jacket to take with me on an LDS Church Mission to Montevideo, Uruguay and the surrounding area, where monsoons are common thing. First, it is absolutely adorable. It looks nice, simple, yet stylish! The length also is great because it covers my bottom! No wet bum for me! (I'm 5'6") Also, the hood is practical and it will be great to keep me dry! It breathes too so it will not kill me in the humidity!

Oh how I want to keep this coat! It's just beautiful and the perfect length. Unfortunately it's just too slim fitting around the middle and would never fit over a sweater for me. I am a little on the chunky side, but still usually take a petite medium. So this isn't a petite, and the arms are surprisingly not too long.(I have short arms). The sleeves fell to just below the wrist. As another reviewer wrote, this would be handy in a soaking rain. It's also nice and lightweight for a chilly wet fall day. Super packable for travel. Unfortunately for me, I have to send it back. This is for the skinny folk! Sniff...

This jacket runs small. I am a size 8, and the medium is way too tight. Unfortunately, Zappos does not have a large in anything but black -- too boring!

Love it!!! Perfect cute rain coat! Got it in 2 colors! Blue and Geranium, both are really nice colors.... Live in Florida, can use this year round. Been looking for 2 years and the price is fair for the great quality

Pretty, lightweight raincoat that I bought for a summer trip back east where rain and fog is likely. I love that it completely covers my behind, and is fitted enough that I don't feel like I'm wearing a sack. Because it is fitted, there is not a lot of extra room for bulky sweaters or a lot of action/movement. That being said, I found it to be true to size. I can go between a medium and large depending on style, and I definitely needed a large in this coat. But it looks flattering despite going with the larger size.

Good quality. And nice fabric. It is going back because it feels pretty long on me. (I am 5'3"). Zappos has provided nice service as always.

LOVE this rain jacket! I always struggle to find one that doesn't have an awkward length or cut, but this one is perfect all around. I am 5' 9.5" and a size 8-10 and I decided to go for the XL which is perfectly roomy and hits right below my butt (yay for no rain soaked butt!!) I am deciding which color to get next because I am so in love with this jacket!

I bought the M. I am about 5'4"128 lb. I am pear shaped and the jacket fits pretty well. I normally wear small (occasionally medium) up top and medium/size 6 for bottoms. I wish it were slightly roomier around the hips, but it fits perfectly at my shoulders. I love that is's not black but still neutral. It also has a feminine cut-- not boxy or bulky. It has a thin mesh lining so not super warm, but I have enough room for thin sweater as the days get colder.

Love the feminine cut....I agree, runs small and very narrow thru the shoulders/under arms. So I hope this works for snow shoveling....fabric has a nice smooth feel to it...glad the pockets zip. I like the full length zipper along with snaps.... Hopefully it will really be water proof. I will know in a week or so.

Really nice color. Looks more red than coral. RUNS SMALL. I am a size 6 or 8 and a medium every time but this definitely felt snug in the lower tummy/hip area. I was blessed with hips so I stuck with a large. If you plan on wearing anything thicker than a thin t-shirt, order a size up from your usual. Nice and cool for warm, rainy days.

This is a very nice jacket! However I am returning mine because I have a large bust (36DDD) and it is a little snug, even with just a t-shirt underneath it is just a little more snug than I am comfortable with. The jacket is long too which is nice so you do not get your butt wet from walking. I am 5'10"; 158 pounds for sizing references and I purchased an XL.

Very nice jacket, but does run small. I normally wear a medium, but had to order a large to get the right fit. The sleeves seem to run longer than norm on both med. & large, but the Velcro tabs at wrist allows for "taking up the slack." It's stylish & very light weight for travel!

I was wanting a rain jacket and usually wear an xs in Columbia products. All the reviews were indicating that the jacket ran small and to purchase one size larger. I went ahead and ordered the xs and I am glad I did. It fits great. I like how it covers my backside. There are several pockets and the hat fits perfectly (and stays on). I haven't had a chance to use it in the rain but it works really well cutting the wind.

This raincoat does run slim. Not small all over, mainly slim in the hip/abdomen area. I am 5'2" and weigh 108 lbs, and it is almost snug across my lower abdomen with only one shirt on, but fits fine (almost slightly loose) everywhere else. I am happy w/the XS b/c I did not buy this to wear over thick clothing; I just wanted a lightweight rain jacket for vacations, boat tours, and out/about in spring, summer, & early fall. I have MANY other coats & jackets I can wear if I need layers or something warmer. This jacket looks sophistocated due to the slender fit & longer length. It is cute for casual, or you could wear it for slightly dressy things. I do wish they had made it to where it would fold up into one of the pockets which would help it to fit into a suitcase or tote bag when touring about. But I am very happy w/this jacket & highly recommend it. Just beware that it does run slender so consider sizing up.

I was wary about the sizing of this coat when reading the other reviews, but didn't find that it ran small. I'm 5'8, 130lbs, with a very long arms and torso, and a Medium fit perfectly. I love the length of this coat and can't wait to go out and explore in it!

What I love most about this jacket is it feels like it has some weight to it. In the past when I bought a rain jacket it felt very thin and not nearly as durable. This jacket has a liner, which is awesome. The shape of the jacket still makes me feel feminine. The red color is so vibrant and I love the pattern! You need this.

Beautiful jacket, love it but it runs small as it is very fitted. Returning this one and can’t re-order because I don’t have another white one in my size.
