I am in LOVE with these. I As soon as I got them I wore them 5 days in a row. They took about 3 days to break in (a little bit of arch pain, and rubbing around the toes and ankle) but they are great now. Very easy to wear for a full day and I have gotten a TON of compliments. They go with everything and I wear them every day to work (architecture firm) with skinny pants, jeans, skirts... And they're great quality, I can tell they will last a long time. I'm planning to waterproof them for the rainy season!

One of the most stylish, comfortable, and malleable boots I have. Like the rubber sole on the bottom and the Ribbon shoe strings add a touch of femininity to the boot. The boot is true to size and comfortable. The leather is soft and not stiff. Love this boot!

Love this boot. It's very comfortable and the leather is soft. The boot isn't stiff at all.

This boot is very comfortable! I think it is definitely worth the investment. It feels very durable with a nice sole. I love that the bottom has a textured rubber padding on it. And that it comes with both ribbon laces and round skinny laces! The only negative is that it is not easily slipped on and off, but rather fits your foot snugly and takes a minute to fully untie and remove. But, really, that complaint is silly.

These boots are awesome! They are very comfortable. They are modern and slick for a great look with dresses, skirts or jeans. I got them in both black and brown and I can't regret the purchase because I have used them over and over with tons of compliments. My only wish is that I had gotten them earlier!

I have a problem foot as I am recovering from an injury. Zip up styles do not allow for adjustment around foot and ankle so I decided give this Claremont boot a try. I had to take the ribbons out. They gave a fun look, but did not slide easily through eyelets. If I can get them broken in in time, they should do well as a jeans boot in Europe.

Have had my Claremonts for a year now. I love the way they look. I had to order up a whole size because of the toe box being so narrow. The leather inside and out feels very smooth, like it might be soft, but the shaft is quite stiff, offering ankle support when laced to the top. The sole is barely worn after a year of use on hard (school rooms and halls) terrazo flooring. These boots offer very little arch support and there is not enough room in them (even a whole size large) to put in an insole. If you have wider feet consider the men's Claremont-identical boot, with exception of laces. The quality of leather and production look and feel like they will outlast the current fashion swing for wingtips.

Cute wing tipped shoe but no zipper so it's hard to get on. Sadly sending back. Runs narrow which is great for me since I have a narrow foot.

These boots are beautifully made with wonderful details. The pair I got had a problem with the foot bed liner. It did not extend fully to the toe and there was an area that was bunched up and uncomfortable on the right boot. The ribbon laces are a cool idea but I think they would wear out quickly. However, they do supply a set of leather laces. I was looking for something a bit feminine to wear with skirts and dresses. If these had been more comfortable, I would have kept them. Thank you Zappos for the best customer service on the planet!

Lovely boot for year round wear. Needs some gentle breaking in for comfort but overall a great boot. I also recommend water protecting the leather.

These are sharp looking. I wanted something to replace my Dr. Marten Flora Chelsea boot, which are just impossible to find anywhere right now. I read this shoe ran big, but if you have wide feet, you need to order your normal size, or size up. I ordered these in a 6.5 but needed at least a 7. However, they are overall two narrow so I'm returning. For comparison, I wear a 4UK/6 in Dr. Marten shoes.

I've been wearing this boot for a half a year now. I purchased them late last winter to protect my feet while looking stylish in the city. I do a lot of walking on poorly paved streets and sidewalks in a relatively humid city. The boots look absolutely amazing with all outfits, and overall they have gotten me through sludge and grime. Here are a few things I think should be noted. The leather: Very good quality. They molded to me feet after a few weeks and have held up through (southern)snow. The insoles: Are very hard and offer little to no arch support. I have extremely high arches and have lower back pain. However, inserting high dollar orthopedics fixed the arches and hardness. The soles: Sadly, they are unacceptable. They are made of a thin foam rubber (which is illustrated in the photos) and the heels themselves are a thin later of cork over plastic. I had to have heel taps installed roughly 12 weeks in and had the entire sole replaced after 20 weeks. Granted, I over-supinate (walk on the outsides of my feet) and thus wear down soles unevenly, but these didn't last nearly long enough. If you anticipate waling as much as I do, have plastic taps installed on the toes and heels immediately by a cobbler.

They are cute. I would need to wear big socks with them. They have too much room around the foot so feet slide. Ribbon doesn't allow you to pull tight. The ribbon is cheap so if you did use them I suspect they would tear and fray.

Very very stiff shoe. They felt small with no suppleness to the leather. They are adorable, but not comfortable. I returned these.

These boots do not hold up at all. They're so cute and comfortable, but within a month of receiving them, the sole started to separate from the upper. It seems that the layer of dense foam between the sole and upper is really poor quality.

Cozy boots, but I have faced few quality issues: 1) glue points on both boots; 2) cracked sole on the toe after 1 week of wearing.

Nice and sturdy but there seems to be something wrong with the inside of the heel. It protrudes and bothers me even through my orthotics.

I really love the style of this shoe, but there was something seriouly weird going on with the heel support for me. It was somehow creating a pressure point on my heel that made my foot tingle and go numb. Super unfortunate because I really love the look of these.

Gorgeous shoes, but shoddy quality. I bought two pairs. On both pairs the soles are delaminating and the stacked heel is delaminating from the white plastic, too. This is within the first week of wearing them.

So I returned these, which is a shame because I really like the Brogue style. But the leather was horribly stiff and uncomfortable (I tried the Black Brush Off). Also, they are really narrow and pointy. If they had more of a rounded toe, I would have liked them better. The ribbon laces were also funny looking, I think they're fine with regular laces.

I got my regular size and was worried after reading some of the reviews that I should have gone larger. Wrong! It was way too big, my foot slid all around. It may be comfortable but not for me. I am returning.
