Just received these in the mail. The bottom of the shoes seem to be made of a material similar to foam flip-flops. Pretty nervous about whether these will handle the wear-and-tear. Definitely not the quality or durability I was expecting.
The leather upper is very soft and a nice shade of gray, though, and they look very dapper.

Both my boys have the Kennett Jr. shoes. They were them for school programs, church, and other nice clothing events. They offer a GREAT dress shoe for boys. If my kids went to a private or prep school they would wear them more often. I always receive compliments from other moms when they wear them. They are a classic shoe and comfortable. They look awesome with jeans or dress clothing.

even when double knotted, laces don't stay tied. Use a looser woven lace, instead of the ropey ones that come with the shoes to keep them on kids' feet.

Excellent shoe - my three year old did not like them at first (probably because they were not crocs or tennis shoes). Wore them for just a little while and loved them - they kept up with him. Classic shoes that we received so many compliments on.

The look and feel of the shoe was nice - but the size 4 that I ordered fit the same as my son's current size 3 of Florsheim comfort tech shoes. Had they fit a size larger, I would keep them, as is, they weren't needed.

These are ok dress shoes, but they are incredibly difficult to put on, even with an adult's help. I found I had to loosen several laces, use a shoe horn, AND they were still tough! Wouldn't recommend.

I got these for my son to attend a Christening. They were so cute on him, were versatile in what he could wear with them and were well made. Unfortunately, they hurt his feet. They seemed to run tight in the length, I think the back of the heel pressed on his achilles a bit. Another size up would have been too big. Luckily, they laced, so we could make the shoe wider in the width. My son wore a size 1 at the time and I got these in a one.

These are not white. They are more of a stone/sand/gray color. They are very light but are not even close to the white of the old Bass buck. These are suede and not nubuck, so that could be the problem. There is also a worn spot on the back of each shoe, one worse than the other (from the box?).

I bought the Lt. Blue/Navy combo for my 8 year old to wear as part of his school uniform. He is not a rough player, but after only 5 days of wear the suede toes and heel were looking dirty. After 14 days the brown trim that lines the shoe opening is cracking, making it look like cheap vinyl. Even though I waterproofed them and use a suede brush on them daily, I didn't expect them to look this bad in less than a month. Not sure if the problem is the color being a light blue, but these would be better as a once-a-week Church shoe than for daily use.

These are so cute, but not a great choice for an active 8 year old boy. My son wore them twice and the suede on the toes are already fading and the shoe old and worn. I expected them to hold up better for the price.

I love the style of this shoe. I purchased for my 13 yr. old son and he loves them. I was a little disappointed that the largest size available for a child is 6 youth. I was a little disappointed in the weight of the shoe. It is very light which would make one to believe it's not well made. Overall, I have been pleased with my purchase.

The fit was off. I would have needed to try these shoes on in-store. My twin boys found them very uncomfortable. The heels were sliding, and my boys' fit was poor. However, the shoes were well made. I will try again.

The description says "lace up closure". They are not lace ups, they are stretchy elastic you step into. Not good for narrow feet as they gap.

The style/look of the shoe is great. After about 2 hours of wear, my son complained that the shoe was hard and uncomfortable despite buying a bigger size than he usually wears. I regret this purchase, he will never wear this shoe again.
