Confessions of a cross-body bags girl: I love having my hands free. I love both my shoulders being at the same distance from my ears. I love being able to do any physical thing I need to do when I'm out walking--like break into a run sometimes. It's been this way for years with me. And now I'm having a little style-based discontent with the all cross-body all the time thing. I decided I needed some diversity, some freedom from the cross-body strap. So, I ventured into shoulder bag territory. I maintain my must-haves for a bag: convenience of locating items (so it can't be too deep) and it needs to become a part of the outfit seamlessly, without calling too much attention to itself. And, it has to sit nicely at my side when I'm at a cafe or somewhere, it has to be ready to offer up my items with no hassle, no drama, no spills. This here bag fills the bill for all that with me. It's got a nice rectangular base, short enough straps for the bag to fold into my waist when hanging from my shoulders, and it's designed for holding stuff--but not gigantic amounts of stuff--so it's not going to make my shoulder hike up, which would be awkward for a massage therapist who's spent most of her professional career advising women to carry backpacks or use cross-body bags. I got the red because--red. This is a really nice shade, I can wear it with my browns and grays and earthy fall tones. It has tan leather trim. It is nicely designed to help things be organized. I am very happy with this bag. It's cute and it doesn't hurt my posture. And it plays nice with my outfits. If you're looking for a quietly elegant useful bag with some pep to it, you'll do well to sport this one.

This is the best purse that I have ever had. It is perfect in every way. Brown pebble is the color of chocolate brownies. The design is so well thought-out. Not only is the central core, the main part of the purse, which is reached under an easy to use zipper, lined in a nice, pretty, light colored fabric so one can see things, there are six other pockets. Plus a zippered pocket inside the central core. Six others, in addition, no lie. There is a smallish but reasonably sized pocket on one exterior side, with a zipper. Then there is a little slide pocket on the other side outside, that I can slip my smart phone in and out of really easily. Then there are the two pockets at either end, which are open but pretty secure. With these little flap things over them, with decorative buckle things. Perfect for large bunches of keys. And then there are, I cannot explain it well, two more pockets on either side of the central core, that are sort of how the purse is designed. As though under each handle, outside of the central core inside, there are by accident (by design?) these deep spaces lined in cotton that are totally accessible and commodious. And also pretty secure. Which are created by the design of how the handles arise out of the purse. Seriously, I absolutely love this purse so much. Sorry to gush. I am here online with Zappos because I am ordering it all over again, because I want to keep using it forever, so when this one wears out, I will have a replacement.

I love this bag. My only complaint is it really isn't comfortable to use as a shoulder bag. The straps are a tad short for me.

This bag is beautiful, stylish and lightweight. It can hold a lot, although it is not large like a tote or heavy like thicker leather bags. Everything you put inside each pocket is within reach and easily viewable. The inside side pockets on each side of the zippered middle are large enough to hold a 16oz bottle of water, an iPad, or a novel. All of the outside pockets are deep enough to hold cell phones or other quick reach items. The smooth/distressed baby leather is thin, I hope it can hold-up to daily use.

I adore this bag! It is functional, tough, and great looking. Very very pleased - exceeded my expectations. The photo doesn't do it justice.

This is a lovely bag in all respects but it is just too large for my needs. I appreciate Zappos excellent service, but this has to be returned.

Pros: The Kendra Satchel is on the smaller end of medium to big size. It is great for every day or travel. I love the lining, but would like a better look on the outside. Overall, I enjoy the accessibility and pockets. cons: An adjustable strap would be great. A better quality leather would be nice as well, as this handbag looks and feels cheap on the outside.

I was so on the fence about this purchase because it was replacing a bag that served me well for three years. The size and shape were just right, but I really wanted an adjustable strap that I could wear cross-body. I ordered it in the papaya color on sale. The color is gorgeous, but even though it's leather, it has kind of a cheap, pleather look. I packed it up to send back, then changed my mind. It wasn't until I put all my stuff in it and carried it around, that it started to grow on me. There is a place for everything, so you can keep your belongings organized and easy to find. The side pockets are bigger than I thought and will work to hold a water bottle, umbrella, or travel mug (which I loved about my old bag). It is comfy on my shoulder, and after all my hemming and hawing, I think I'm going to end up really loving this bag.

I love the size and shape of this bag but I didn't realize there was a snake print on the top flaps. I should have because the color is called "brown snake multi" but the pictures don't show the snake print. The "brown snake multi" doesn't have the design on the front that is highlighted in the video either. It's not my cup of tea so it will be going back - but I love Zappos. They are always super fast and friendly.

The quest is over! I finally found my perfect purse. It is not too big; just right. It is a beautiful distressed, glazed leather that is soft. I have the tobacco snake bag and it is beautiful! Even as soft as it is, the bag is structured enough to ‘sit’. That is very important to me. It has one main center compartment (large enough for my S&W to lay in ?) with a zipper pocket on one side and two slip pockets on the other. There are two full size, flat compartments on either side of the center compartment. Very handy, The outside of the bag has a zipper pocket on one side and a pocket on the other side has a pocket without a zipper that is plenty big enough for my Note 10+. (no zipper to scratch phone). And then there are two pockets on the ends of the bag, I keep my earbuds in one of them. Comes with a nice tassel key fob too.The handles are just long enough to wear over your shoulder, even with coat on. This is a high quality bag that is so easy to organize. And the price is right!

Beautiful bag. Very soft. Perfect gift for my Mom for Mother’s Day.

The size of this bag I would consider to be a medium. The color on this bag is beautiful and online picture doesn't do it justice. I am able to fit my Wallet, My cosmetic bag, my cell phone, and few other essentials in the pockets, but not everything I normally carry. This bag is actually smaller than my previous Coach bag. The interior is beautiful, and I do get compliments on this bag everywhere I go, wether at work or going out to dinner. Overall, this is a great medium size bag, and I do love Sak Brand Handbags.

Purchased this as summer purse. Use an RFID wallet holding passport, cards, money, phone, etc safe from electronic thieves. Fits easily in purse and able to get in/out for separate use. Convenient outside pockets for mail, water, sunglasses. Love the clean look, goes with all styles and colors, I would recommend.

This is a fabulous bag. Just the right size and the leather is so soft. I love all the pockets and the double straps.

A beautiful mix of colors and the pink stripe works great with the oatmeal shade. The leather is soft and real. I wish it had a rounded rather than flat strap, but fits well on the shoulder.

I liked this bag so much that when this came out in blue I had to buy another one! This bag is the perfect size for me. I can comfortably carry my wallet, a small case for cards, sunglasses, reading glasses, Kleenex purse pack, pens, a small cosmetic bag, my phone and any papers can slide into the one of the side pockets. When I travel my e-reader goes into the other side pocket and I can easily fit a phone charger in the bag with room to spare. Fits comfortably on my shoulders. Wears really well - I had a Fossil bag that was about 50% more expensive that had flimsier straps and poor stitching. I am a fan of this brand for the value.

This bag is a good size and lighter weight than many others. It has plenty of pockets for organizing and the slip pocket on the back is perfect for my phone, even the larger iPhone 6 plus.

I am loving this bag. It is capacious and very well constructed. The leather is supple and well finished. I am fairly conservative as far as accessories go. This has just the right amount of detail/decoration to please me without being too eye catching. I would not hesitate to buy another Sak bag. And the price was right. I hope Zappos has a long relationship with Sak, as I did not know of the company's existence until I joined Zappos. Thanks to you both.

I love this purse. I received it today in sunlight block. It is exactly as described and it looks so expensive and well made. I will definitely enjoy it and will order in another color soon!

Very cute purse, slightly lighter in color than the picture reflects. The white stripe on the sides does have metallic pieces in it as mentioned in another review but it wasn't too crazy for me. It's a good sized purse, bigger than what I was looking for but it's grown on me. It will work as an everyday purse and to replace the big bag I use while commuting on the train. Oh, and lots of pockets! 3 inside and 6 outside. Leather has an almost "distressed" look, but it's not too casual or too cute. The length of the straps is just right too. Oh, and you can't beat Zappos excellent service and free next business day shipping. Love ya Zappos!

This is a wonderful bag. It might not be clear from the picture, but there are deep pockets on both sides between the outside and the inner zip compartment. It's quite roomy, just a little too small for my needs, however, so I am going to need to return it. Great bag at a great price though!

Love this bag! I got it in the "seafoam multi" - perfect for spring/summer. It also has a lot of multifunctional compartments which is great being I am a full time student - fits my ipad mini too!

This is a very nice bag but the description is lacking. There is a strip of shiny, silver/white metallic trim on each side of the bag. On the plus side, there are two deep pockets on either side of the top zipper. I would have kept this bag if it weren't for the metallic trim.

I am a huge fan of "The Sak" brand after I carried the same hobo-style handbag everyday for approx. 13yrs! I finally retired it after twice having a zipper repaired and deciding I need a new one the 3rd time the zipper broke. But who could ask for more?! That's a long life for a good handbag! :) I was unsure I'd ever find one that would replace it. I received this Kendra Satchel and, so far, absolutely LOVE it! I would highly recommend the brand, I highly recommend the site (from past shoe purchases as well), and you will love this bag as much as I do if you're like me and feel you have to carry around everything, including the kitchen sink! Lol.

This is the perfect purse. I ordered a lot of purses from other websites and the description of the size is always wrong. They are always larger. Sent them back. I wanted A leather purse but had to be just right. Zappos sizes right on. I will buy a lot more items from this site. Purse has many pockets. Can't say enough about the purse and the site. Go for it.
