I have worn this model of Newtons for 3 years, and every single right shoe has torn near the pinky toe. When you are spending this much on a pair of shoes, you want them to last...at least for the 300 miles that Newtons says the shoes are good for. I contacted Newton, and by their request, I sent them pictures of 6 separate pairs of my Terra Momentum Newtons. The response I got back from them was basically, "Wow, sorry, that is odd. Our Research Department needs to know about this user experience, so I will forward these on. And, because I know shoes are an investment, here is a code for 15% off your next pair." Through an email platform, it is not a very genuine gesture. I'm moving on to Nike and Brooks, because I can't stomach this much money down the drain anymore. Good to know is that I am 5'11" and 150 lbs. I run 5 miles a day on trails, the exact terrain these shoes were supposedly made for. Also, my other models of Newtons never tore. I don't have any foot problems, but these shoes seem to have a quality problem.

I've owned two pairs of the Terra's and it has been love at the first wearing. Over the years I have developed Morton's Neuroma in my right foot (between the toes and the ball of the foot). Exercise was getting to be very painful since every step I took landed me right on that pinched nerve. I saw the Newtons one day and gave them a try. The scooped up toe kept me off the painful spot and I've been wearing them ever since. These shoes have been very important to my comfort and my ability to continue exercising. Thanks Newton!

I wore these running today for the first time and they did not hurt my feet at all! As a matter of fact these are the best sneakers I have ever worn running! A lot of bounce and cushion! I'm looking for my second pair now! I wear a 9 but got a 9.5. Try going up a 1/2 size! Cushion on the ball and back of foot so you don't slam your heels down. You will love these!

These were my first running shoes ever and I love them! The lugs on the ball of the foot really teach you how to avoid the heel strike. I would recommend them to anyone - I thought they were amazing. I'm a fan of multi colored kicks, so these were perfect for me.

Great shoe! I'm not a runner, I wear this shoe every day at work. I'm in healthcare and do 12 hour shifts at minimum, running around a busy ER. I have worked as long as 36 hours straight in these shoes, and they really cut down on leg fatigue and low back pain. The lugs on the forefoot took me about 1-2 weeks to get used to...but now I don't even notice them. When I have to stand for long periods of time in one spot, I stand with all my weight on balls of my feet and rock back and forth on the lugs. It really helps me to keep from locking up my knees too.

I have been dealing with plantar fasciitis for months. Working with a physical therapist and wearing these shoes has me walking again. I cannot believe the difference in how much better these shoes are realigning my feet. I have always paid a lot for my running shoes, so these do not seem out of line price wise and they offer so much more for the money. If you are having trouble with you feet, you need these shoes, if your feet are healthy you must have these shoe, an ounce of prevention will save you a great deal of money and pain. Oh, I almost forgot these shoes are super cute. I love the bright colors.

These shoes are true to size, however I. ordered a half size up because I like more toe room. I have put about 50 miles on these shoes and realize they did need a little breaking in time, but not much. I really do enjoy them as I walk 4 miles a day and my feet just do not hurt. I am an active 72 year old and have had a hip replacement, these are my favorite shoes as I have recovered from that surgery. Will be buying them again.

Best running shoes ever. I overpronate so these are perfect for me. I never want to stop running when wearing these.

Great shoe and looks amazing! Love this style and color. I am trying to run again after a few years off due to knee issues. This shoe strikes in the mid foot instead of heel, toe which is a better way to land for your body. Very comfortable to just walk in. I also use it for aerobic exercising such as jumping jacks, etc and it seems to do fine with lateral movements as well. Comfortable to wear all day! Definitely would buy this Newton again, in fact I have! Order a half size bigger than normal.

This is hands down the best running shoe I have ever owned (I am 42 and have been running for 25 years). It is true what they say about Newton shoes, they help you with your strike and I find that I am no longer striking on my heel. My knees are both bone on bone and since starting with Newton (this is my second pair) I have not once experienced knee pain. SO worth the money, and they look awesome and fit perfectly!

I'd been wearing the Asics 2100s series since about 7th grade and when I went to the local running store to get a new pair I was disappointed to hear that Asics had replaced them with the 2000s series. Short story, I didn't like them. By recommendation of a member of the running team I'm on, I decided to try Newtons. Best choice ever. They definitely are working different muscles in my leg and foot, but also correcting my form. I love this shoe already. Take your first few runs easy. I ordered true to size and they fit great. The cute color doesn't hurt either.

I usually wear a 7.5 or 8 and ordered the 8 based on reviews. I should have ordered an 8.5 because my toe is hitting hard. I took the insoles out and it helped a bit. I recommend a half size up and wearing them in the house on carpeting for several hours. Love the shoe but dislike the soreness.

Love, love these shoes. Have worn them walking 4 days now... increasing distance each day. NO getting used to, NO blisters, NO back pain. Very close to walking in MBT sandals but way more support and so much lighter!

These shoes are worth every penny! They are the best athletic shoes I have ever put on. I had tried the Gravity model & another before & did feel the need to go up a half size in those models. The other models did not fit me as well, plus I like the tighter texture of this fabric better. I read the reviews & I am a walker, not a runner, and these are designed to be more of a multi-purpose shoe. I usually wear an 8 in an athletic shoe, but I ordered a 7-1/2 in these since that was the only pair left in this aqua color & they were just perfect. With the Gravity model I was debating between an 8 and an 8-1/2 but the shoe just didn't fit my foot right. Whenever I put a pair of my old shoes -- Ecco & New Balance -- they just don't feel right anymore. I am sold on Newtons. People are raving about the aqua color -- I have had so many compliments it is unbelievable. I don't like the purple that much and hope that Newton will come out with another color in the Momentum by the time I need a new pair.

I love my Terra's. They never hurt my feet whereas some other brands do. I have to say I have gotten holes in the toe area before and I wish they could fix this, but I won't change brands. Also just for anyone who might need the info, I got a painful callus between my toes with another brand of shoes. The way I got rid of it was to run with a cotton ball between my toes. Works wonders! It keeps your toes apart (no rubbing) and it goes away. Definitely try this. I am getting ready to buy another pair of the Terra Momentums. They just fit my feet.

After almost three weeks, these shoes have saved my knees from pain. I can run in them (finally) without suffering any knee, back, or ankle pain during or after the run. They are extremely comfortable, true to size, and I even get compliments on them. They seem like they will last a while. These shoes are exciting for me because I had to completely avoid any impact and stick to yoga/pilates for years due to crappy shoes. With these, I can add more cardio to my workout routines. Yay!

I have been wearing these shoes for a week now and find them to be very supportive for my achy knees. When I first wore them, I wore them only for an hour and loved the way they felt when I walked. The next time I wore them I was walking on them for a few hours and got shin splints (only in my left leg, not sure why) but that is something that sometimes happens when breaking in sneakers. They did not hurt the next day (I took a day off from the shoes) and then wore them again and have had no problems since. I even tried running in them, which is a type of exercise I avoid (I am more of a yoga/dance person) but they really supported me. No knee pain! And no ankle pain (which Nikes tend to give me) so I am sold. Definitely worth the money and the ability to do cardio without pain.

I usually wear a size 8.5 but ordered up 9.5 as was suggested on the NEWTON website... they are swimming on me! I should have gone with 62% here on Zappos and ordered my usual size... still can't wait to try em.

Perfect running shoes for my narrow feet. My Achilles heel problem has subsided since I started using these. I also use Superfeet insoles for maximum support. Great traction in wet weather. I am on my third pair.

Fantastic running shoes. Newtons do an amazing job of correcting your strike, and make it easy to run on the balls of your feet. I have ankle and knee problems, and they have been at bay since I started running in these shoes. The liner that comes in the shoes is better than most, but I'd still recommend replacing it with more supportive insoles.

These are THE best shoes I've ever had. I have a bone spur on the side of my foot and am always trying to find shoes that don't make it worse. This is the shoe! These are my 2nd pair. True to size, adorable!

I am new to Newton shoes, and absolutely love them. It is important to read the instructions on how to adapt to this style shoe. They really encourage proper running form. I battled with IT band problems for a month. But was able to run, suddenly, the first time I tried in the Newtons. The more I run in them, the better my IT injury is getting. After 2 weeks I barely feel pain at all. The only difference I've made is using this shoe. They are expensive, but much cheaper than doctor visits!

These shoes are amazing. Until I wore these shoes, I had pain in part of my foot due to walking on the outsides of the feet. Now, these shoes force me to walk the way I am supposed to walk. So I have no more pain! Plus they are cute!

These have become my go-to shoes for my work as a nurse. I wore them to work one day for a short shift after a run and couldn't believe the difference they made in the way my knees and back felt after working 8 hours on the floor. The guys at the Newton Store told me that I'd get about 600 miles out of them and I definitely think I am going to. And my next pair of "official" work shoes will always be Newtons.
