I had not been able to run more than 3 miles without pain until someone told me to throw away my "trail" running shoes and get a pair of Newtons. Changed my running forever. I was able to run 15 miles within 3 months and no pain. Great pair of shoes, I'm on my third pair.

I am training for a half marathon, and the side of my right foot was killing me from running, probably because of my form. I splurged on these, and the pain immediately went away. Love these running shoes! Worth every penny! I usually wear a 9 1/2 in shoes, but in running shoes take a 10. I am contemplating getting a custom orthotic put in it too!

I love these shoes! My husband gave me a pair for Christmas after I picked out the Laguna/Lime color. I started running last Fall, and began in a pair of Pearl Izumi's. I liked the PI's, and they were very comfortable, but they didn't hold up for long. To be fair, I had the ones that are meant for triathlons, so I don't think they were intended for the wear and tear of daily use. Also, I'm not a small woman. The Newton's, however...very sturdy shoes. I expect them to hold up for many miles. I wasn't sure how I felt about them when I tried them on the first time, with the rocker under the ball of the foot and also wondered if I could wear them without socks. After the first couple of runs, I was used to the shoe and have no problem wearing them without socks. I do apply blister stick, but would with any running shoes. When it's time to purchase a new pair of sneaks, they will be Newton's! They are very comfortable, very stable, and I'm glad I chose these. Super stylish too! Look like greased lightening. I'd like to note that the toe box seems a hair large, but it's not cumbersome at all. I was used to the glove-like fit of the PI's, and worried the extra room at the toe would be a problem. It's not an issue for me, and would certainly not be an issue for someone who prefers to wear socks.

I run and do an exercise class daily. I used to used a different pair of sneakers for each. When doing my exercise class, I found my feet got numb and hurt from all the jumping and pounding on my feet. With the Newtons, I have not felt any discomfort (I have been wearing them for 2 weeks). My running has greatly improved as well push off and land on my feet correctly. No pain in my ankles or shins. These are a great all around sneaker - a joy to wear and fun and colorful!

Love the comfort of this shoe. Lately my feet would hurt with Jumping jacks, jump squats and over all running. Not with this shoe. Bought a second pair and threw away my other shoes. Feels that good.

OMGosh! These shoes are amazing! I've had plenty of running/cross training shoes and nothing compares to these babies! They are extremely comfortable and great for pushing you forward when running. Love, love, love them! Oh I usually where a 7-7.5 and had to go with the 7.5!

Great running shoe! I ordered from Zappos because I was unable to find them in a store near home. They arrived extremely quick, like in two days! I will definitely order from Zappos again soon! Much faster than driving around to different stores!

I love my Newtons. These are my third pair. I use them for everyday walking around. I am not a runner. I love how they look and the color choices are such fun!

I am a big fan of Newton running shoes having worn the brand for the past 3-4 years. As a long-distance runner, who runs marathons, 1/2s as well as 10Ks I wear Newtons while running trails and streets. This particular model I own in both purple and laguna blue. It is a great shoe (fits true to size) that is both sturdy with foot support, and yet not too heavy. Great to wear while running various terrains: trails, greenways and street surfaces. With its sturdier construction and sole...you will be able to wear to run 300+ miles. Love the convenience that Zappos is now carrying the Newton brand!

I adore these shoes! I run trails several times a week and had developed plantar fasciitis in my right foot. These shoes have help tremendously. Plus they are so cool looking, I get comments on them all the time. The only thing lacking is good arch support, but I have inserts so that was not an issue for me.

I have been wearing Newton's for the past 4 years and they are the most comfortable and supportive running shoe I have found. I would recommend them to everyone.

These shoes are great! They have really helped me reduce my tendency to heel strike and I feel light and fast running in them. I also have found myself wearing them when I'm not running and not something I typically do. I think it is because they look better than most running shoes and also are so comfortable I don't want to take them off!

I love these shoes, they really make my legs feel more energized and makes running feel easier. I used them for a marathon and didn't have any problems. I wear size woman's 11 and that's what I ordered, they fit great. I am ordering another pair.

Best shoe I have ever bought! I have several medical issues and have had surgery on my feet. The construction of this shoe is different from all others in the whole design. I have been unable to run for several years but I walk; this shoe has proven perfect for me, since the first day of wear they have fit perfectly. Although I did discover that I needed a size and half larger to allow for more room in toe box whereas I usually purchase one size larger in athletic shoes. I love these shoes, worth every penny, will order another pair soon.

On my 2nd pair of Newton Running Terra Momentums. I don't like the Barney grape purple color but oh well. After putting almost a thousand miles on my first pair I searched and searched for a less expensive equivalent or "kind of like Newton's" but alas, they're all either low to no cushioning or are flat on the bottom. I love the extra cushioning that Newton Running's give, there is just nothing else like them. I'm susceptible to bunion, morton's neuroma, ankle, plantar fasciitis, and knee problems. With normal running shoes I would be running, period. With my Newton's I run trails 3-5 times per week and I couldn't be happier. Second pair of shoes seem to be lacking the wider toe box that I was so happy with in my first pair. Maybe I need to stretch the toe box. These just don't feel as comfortable as my first pair but I did wear those out beyond their life span.

I just read the review from Oakland, CA regarding the right shoe with the fabric wearing through near the pinky toe. I, too, have the same issue. I love the shoes but did not expect something like this in this price level. I have worn Asics for many years and never had them wear so poorly in such a short time. I love the cushion at the ball of the foot but I am not sure if I am willing to dish out the cash to have this happen again.

Love these shoes equally for road or trails runs but they do feel a bit wider than most other running shoes after wearing them only a few times. However, this does not take away from their ability to make runs more comfortable and enjoyable. I will be buying them again.

I had to send these back, because my pinkies were squeezed together with the fourth toes when I tried them on. I usually wear size 9-9.5 but had to exchange the 9.5 with 10, which still did not solve the problem. My feet are on the wide side of regular width.

I have never owned Newton's before and I chose the model primarily because I had heard good things and I wanted a neon shoe. Unfortunately, this shoe is no made for running in the Pacific Northwest, or anywhere that winter brings rainy, slippery pavement. The sole, especially under the toe box, where you push off against the pavement, is VERY slippery. In addition, the arch support feels average, definitely not what I would have expected from a "stability" running shoe. Lastly, the shoe runs large. I wear an 8.5/9 and always run in 9s. I have an average width foot, but like a large toe box for long runs (eg. I cannot wear Asics) Even with a Superfeet insole, this shoe is slightly large, meaning that my foot shifts within the shoe when running on uneven terrain (side slopes), further making this shoe less stable. All in all I'm not satisfied. Perhaps a good shoe for running on a treadmill or in the desert!
