This is the update for the 2170, I believe. I have been faithful to this shoe series for over a decade and am happy with the GT-2000 version. I wish they would have a neutral color for the females. Is white/grey or white/grey/blue too much to ask? Why is every running shoe an 80's flashback? Anyway, I always size up 1/2 size. They seem a tad small, plus it allows room for my feet to swell if I am running farther.

I got these shoes a few days ago and have been wearing them - all day, every day, since. I have very narrow foot and have not had such a good fit in years. Usually, I have to wear very thick, wool socks with my athletic shoes. Also, I have had both knees replaced and they have been acting up so much lately that I had physical therapy which really didn't help. Since I started wearing my new shoes the knees are 90 percent better. What more can I say.

I am an Asics fan...they fit my feet perfectly. This is my..I don't even know how many pairs I have bought over the years. I have a narrow heel and wider toe area, and these are shaped perfectly for my feet. I also need a very structured shoe. If you don't know what kind of shoe you need for running, get thee to a good running shoe store!

I love these shoes. They are very lightweight yet supportive. Have good arch support. I have extra wide feet, where custom orthotics, and a brace on one ankle, all due to rheumatoid arthritis. In the extra wide size I am able to wear all of these "accessories" and the shoes still fit. I like them because they don't look like old lady orthopedic shoes. If you are out in the rain or very wet ground or pavement, you can get moisture in the bottoms and or through toe area. But it has to be a pretty good rain. I've gotten many compliments from people on these shoes...think it's the color combination. They look good and are comfortable.

If you Loved the GT series (1240, 1250, 1260) that came out each year, do Not buy the GT2000. They simply are not of the same quality. I noticed a beginning of a change in the GT1270 model and it has continued. The support is gone. The shoes are flat.

Shoes were delivered quickly, great fit for a narrow foot, a little lighter and less sturdy than the 2170's they replaced but a comfortable shoe for any distance run, fun colors.

I am 58 years old and have fairly narrow, arthritic feet. I have looked and looked for two pair of comfortable shoes to wear on a trip to Italy involving a lot of walking. I finally found two pair. This Asics GT-2000 is perfect for one pair. I also found Clarks Walk Run to be a perfect 2nd pair to wear with nicer slacks. If you are having trouble finding the right shoes for a walking trip, try these two and you just may also hit it right. Hope this info helps someone find the right shoes/fit for them. Awesome lightweight shoes that fit true to size. Room in toe box for orthotics. I am in my shoes 95% of my waking hours and have never been disappointed with my Asics.

I bought these because they were recommended as the best shoes for flat feet, which mine are. So far I love them. Lots of support and stability and it doesn't hurt that they look good too.

I have always worn Asics and love them. This shoe is awesome. I ordered the size I have always worn in Asics, 7 1/2, but were too small and had to return them for a size 8. The 8 fit perfectly. These shoes run small. Still giving all 5's for this shoe even if it runs small.

These shoes are light weight and the mesh allows my feet to "breathe" which is good because I live in the desert southwest. But they do run small. I got a half size larger, and the fit is perfect. Reflection on the back is good for night walking.

These shoes are great! They replaced my GT-2160 (I've been wearing the 2100 series for the last 10 years) and they fit and feel as good as they always have. I was worried about trying the GT-2000 as a lot of reviews said you needed to size up and that they have no arch support. I totally disagree with both issues! Plenty of toe room and the usual great arch support! Fun colors!

I love these shoes! I bought these along with the Gore-tex version, and both look and fit great. I had some concerns after reading customer reviews of this model given the design change over the original 2170s, however I went ahead with my order and they fit great.

This is a great shoe! However, Asics has really started to run quite narrow. I used to be comfortable in a D width, but found it was still too narrow for my foot after running a few miles. Because of that, I switched to wearing the Suacony Omni for about a year, but when I went to order a new pair, they were out of my size. So I thought I would give Asics another shot, but this time ordered a 2E just in case they were too narrow. Thank goodness I did, because I put them on and they fit perfectly. I have never worn a 2E in my life! That just goes to show how narrow they have gone while making the fore foot of the shoe! At any rate, I love my new shoes!

Love the style & comfort of these shoes. I wanted a shoe with wide toe box - but even though I ordered wide width - they still feel narrow around the toe area.

This is my second pair. I originally bought a 7 1/2 D and it was way too small and narrow. The 8 D's were better but I wish there was more room in the toe box. Would have liked the EE's but they weren't available in my size. Overall, great gel cushioning.

The GT 2000 is a very poor replacement for the GT 2170. The 2000 is looser in the heel, less arch support, thinner sole, and more flexible. I will switch to another brand.

I ordered this shoe in an 8 1/2 WW. It runs very short and shallow. My big toe was hitting the side and top of the shoe. I returned it and tried the 9WW(a size I have never worn before). It was still too narrow. The WW in this shoe is narrower than the W in my Saucony sneakers.

Love these sneakers. They provide great support. Very comfortable and stylish as well. Can't ask for more than that from a pair of sneakers.

These shoes are great! I usually have issues with my ankle when running, and these significantly lessen the pain. I haven't had them long enough to know how the hold up, but so far, they are stylish and comfortable.

These shoes are very comfortable for running. They were comfortable from the start and did not require breaking in. I previously had the 2160s, and while they required a period of breaking in, I think they may be slightly superior in terms of support and cushioning.

This item runs extremely short. EUR 46 is shorter than NIKE 44. Was unpleasantly surprised after getting my hopes up that someone besides New Balance was making a US women's 13!

I have had problems with my feet rolling in when I stand or walk. These Asic shoes have really helped and my ankle doesn't hurt anymore.

I have had about 6 or 7 pairs of the GT 2140 - 2170 series and loved them all. We finally had a couple of days when tennis shoes rather than boots could be worn, so I have road-tested the GT-2000 and like it just as much. My size is 8.5 4A. Unlike the person who longs for neutral colors such as white and blue, I say, the brighter and crazier the better.
