Used this product on a weekend trip for my job. the cubes were great to keep everything organized, especially when I needed to rush off to a meeting. MUCH easier when everything has a designated place, vs. just somewhere in the depths of my suitcase.

I travel with either a backpack or medium carry on duffle. Cubes keep my business clothes neat and ready.
Also great for packing saddlebag on motorcycle.

I bought these for packing clothes for extended travel, and I don't really like them for that. I can pack my clothes faster and more compactly straight into their section of my suitcase. Then I don't have to dig through the bags to get at things.
However, I really like them for packing everything else I travel with. There is a lot less loose stuff tucked into the corners last second. They've held up well to being packed and unpacked every week for months now.
I also like to bring a couple for backpacking/hiking trips. They help maintain layers in my pack without adding too much weight.

Best used for Adventurers who need to condense their packs and save weight so you can hold more treasure.
With this set I am able to roll and pack 3 pants, 3 shirts, 1 flannel, 1 tanktop, 1 pair gym shorts, 1 pair swimming shorts, 3 pairs of crime fighters and 4 socks.
My Eagle Creek Pack-It Specter Cube Set has fought valiantly in the face of danger and has stood the test of time and space. If another adventurer was looking for a worthy ally I would recommend this without second thought.

I was pleased with the look of these cubes and the fabric does have a durable feel to it while remaining ultra lightweight. I was also able to get 5 shirts and two pairs of jeans in the largest of the three cubes; great!
That said, when I took them out of the box, before even using them, the stitching was already coming undone. Many loose threads and seams pulling apart before i'd even taken a trip. disappointing.

A great addition to an Eagle Creek item I've used for several years and they all make packing so much more convenient.

I already owned a medium folder & a cube which I received for my birthday last year. I wanted more items for our upcoming vacation to Mexico, so I ordered the Cube set. The only negative comment I can make is that the Quarter Cube is almost too small to be practical. But I really love the cube concept. It makes packing so much easier, and keeps things well organized!

The cubes work well enough. I'm not sure how much I'll use them. I think I do a better job packing on my own.

I own several Pack-It systems. I just bought the Specter Starter Set. Great lightweight cubes that when filled fit nicely into luggage to maximize the space, especially when packed with soft clothing items. I am a little skeptical about the durability, but time will tell.
I particularly wanted the envelope because it was a lightweight option compared to my classic ones. I am disappointed with the placement of the Velcro tabs. The 2 sides are not attached to the envelope in a way that maximizes the contact of both sides. If you look closely at the photo, you see what I am talking about. If you do not stuff the envelope, you will not have much space saving compression. This is because the Velcro strips on interior flaps will barely touch. On the exterior flap Velcro, the loop strip is very long, but useful for compression only if you over fill. The fuzzy Velcro side runs across the envelope, so the attachment to the loop side is not maximized. In my experience, despite the lack of contact, the envelope holds together and does not open. I will probably sew additional Velcro strips (loop side) to my envelope. EC has very thoughtfully designed products. I'm curious why this particular product was designed this way. The classic envelopes are not like that.

I like the fabric and the color but they are too small to be very useful.

You can fit quite a bit in each one if you roll your shirts/pants, but overall, this set was much smaller than I expected.

I found the smaller bags great for my trip. The larger bag I did not use because it took up to much space in my bag. I could carry more clothes by rolling them.

I have the same problem with this as I do with the 3-cube set. There is no mesh window to be able to see the contents. Unless I'm always using the same cubes for the same clothing items, they won't work. I can't be opening each container every time I need to figure out if I need a t-shirt, or boxers, or socks, etc. I was told it's not possible to add a mesh window to this, like the older version of this product has.

I've used the Pack-It system for a number of years and found the lighter weight Specter products appealing. Unfortunately, I didn't realize how inconvenient the new zipper design would be. Unlike the earlier version, the zipper no longer extends around three sides (I suppose it was cheaper to manufacture; I don't see any practical benefit to the consumer). This makes packing and access more difficult. Not what I would call an improvement.

I wouldn't recommend the solid colors to a friend. Everyone in the family preferes the white/strobe, white/tangerine, or white/ocean blue colors. While they still have the white/strobe, I had hoped everyone in the family could have their own color. The solid are not transparent enough to see a little into the bag.

This was significantly smaller than I expected. The 2 smaller ones are useless to me with my frequent travels. I am hoping to return them

Eagle Creek products are great, but there cubes have serious design flaws.
The main one being that the zip doesn't open all the way around, which turns the cubes into more of a 'stand and stuff' cube, which defeats their whole purpose as easy access clothes storage cubes.
They are also far too narrow to be useful. They become more of a sack than a cube when filled.
I'd recommend going with the other style of cube with the full zip around zipper, as these ones really are pointless.

I used this product an average of 5 times and the zippers gave out. It is an overall good idea but the quality must be improved. Ziplock bags would of been a better idea. I tried to contact eagle creek about warranty repair/replacement and they refused to help because I am an international customer.
