Footbed was comfortable and the length was fine. Ordered these in a size 12 narrow but they were too wide for my foot.

The new sizing is very different. My old Birkenstocks (only a year or so old) were a 40 regular. I read that they changed their sizing but ordered the same thing and they were too small. Gave them to my daughter and went to a store to try some on and what ended up fitting was a 41 narrow. I recommend trying them on in person if you haven’t been fitted with the “new” sizing before you order online.

The workmanship was excellent, as would be expected from Birkenstock. The style was admirable. However, the ARCH support was more than I could bear. Too high for my feet, and made the sandals impossibly painful to wear. Someone with a high arch, or high tolerance for pain might do better.

Love this shoe. Great arch support. Well made. Look good. But had to return. I wear a 71/2 N. This is not a narrow shoe. With buckles adjusted to smallest size and wearing medium weight socks, my feet would still slide forward as I walked. So disappointing.

I did not like the look on my foot. It also felt like it would stretch too much and become sloppy on my foot with a little wear. I did not like the plastic buckles on the sandals. The buckles felt cheap and were hard to fasten. I like and have worn many styles of Birkenstocks but these were not my preference.

Suede is challenging as it does not have any structure, so one cannot simply slide in to the birkenstock. Does not retain form.

The straps seemed way way too loose, big, and long. Had them cinched all the way (shoes are same size of my older Birks). Not the same old sandal for sure

I have been purchasing this style/color Birkenstocks for many many years and have now found that the (newer) 'Narrow' style 'seems' to fit me a bit better then the 'regular' ones do. So I returned the regular style and have kept the 'Narrow' style. I'm giving them a try. Thank you. .... Peace ... Jack

Unfortunately, this was not the shoe I was expecting based on past purchases of many years.. This shoe was not a charcoal Gray suede. If it was suede, it was a very short nap. The color leaned to Gray with green tones in it. I was very disappointed. I've worn Birkenstocks for at least 20 years. First pair I've ever returned!

I have always wanted to buy a pair of Birkenstock’s after reading so many reviews of how comfortable they are. I guess I just have a sensitive step because these were so uncomfortable, even for being the soft footbed style. They’re absolutely cute on, but even wearing them around the house for an hour I couldn’t do it. They also run very big. I got my normal size (39) and had to exchange twice for an 8.5 and then 8 for them to fit. The footbed is long and the straps were so loose even on the tightest hole.

Great shoe but the straps are huge - I needed to more holes to secure them so returning.....

Love hate. My right sandal feels good. My left one has issues. First, with the buckle on the last hole, the toe strap was still too loose. Luckily I have a leather hole punch and I made one more hole. My feet are medium width so it’s odd I had to do that. Secondly, the heel area bends up on either side. On my left foot it puts a lot of pressure on the inside of my foot. It turns my foot red and it’s not comfortable. I’m hoping it will break in and be fine.

The taupe color isn’t as light and pretty as in the photos. The soles are so hard; like walking on concrete. Why can’t they make half sizes? 38 and my foot is too far forward so the toe bar isn’t in the right place. 39 and the toe bar is correct but there’s too much shoe left behind my heel. The only good part is the suede is soft.

Ordered same size as my other Birkenstocks and this one was not even close to fitting. They are made for someone with a very wide foot - could have added 2 or 3 more holes in order to make them fit. Sent them back and ordered the narrow and they fit great. The suede straps are very soft and comfy. Gave them 3 stars only because the sizing was so different than my other birks.

I am a BIG believer in Birks, but this pair was NARROW!

I’m giving these three stars as I ordered in my regular Birkenstock size and my foot flopped around in the shoe excessively. I had the straps on the tightest setting and still nearly lost my shoes walking upstairs / tripped / etc. mind you, I love Birkenstock’s and will try these in a narrow and with a leather band rather than suede, but could not rate the suede highly this time.

The sandals were the right length and the foot bed felt right but the straps were too long. Even when fastened on the first hole they were too loose. I am a medium width but not for these sandals.

I have a pair of Mayaris in 40 narrow from a couple years ago that fit well. These in the same size felt both too short and too narrow.

While the length and width of the foot-bed were spot-on, the straps do not have enough holes in them. I could not tighten them up, making the shoe unwearable. Unfortunately, I'm having to return these. If I go with the narrow width, the Birkenstock foot-bed will be too narrow.

Loved the look of this sandal but it did not fit.......very wide. I re-ordered the same shoe in a narrow width and am crossing my fingers that it will fit! If it does, I'm certain it will get a 5 star rating.

Too wide and I don’t wear narrow shoes at all.

I purchased this very same Birkenstock sandal a couple years ago. I even went to my prior order and reordered it. However I am now discovering that it is much wider than the first pair that I bought. I hadn’t tried them on until today and was extremely disappointed to find out that the fit is very different. I am looking to get some information on how I can purchase a pair that is going to have a similar width for me because these slide around and are a tremendous fall risk for me.

I have other Birks and bought the same size but sizing for this particular style runs large, both in length and width. I had to return them and get a full size smaller.

I love Birkenstock’s. I live in them. I wear my worn out, falling apart birks as house slippers. That being said, something was wrong with these and I had to return them. I normally wear a 38 narrow. I ordered a 38 regular and the right sandal was too narrow. The edge of the cork footbed was digging into the inside side of my foot. I’m not sure how that’s possible. I loved the soft, velvety grey suede. I was sad to send them back.
