Customer Reviews Birkenstock Arizona Soft Footbed - Suede (Unisex)

I think birkenstock has changed over the last two years. Their soft footbeds no longer feel soft at all. They feel like rocks. I know you have to break them in for a bit, as I've worn birks for over 45 years and this is the first time I returned any pair-ever. I compared a three year old pair of soft footbed Arizonas that I have to these and the old pair had a softer footbed, even being worn down hard. Don't know what is going on. I may reorder and have my shoemaker add layer of spenco material to pad the footbed but if that doesn't work, I'm out the money. Birks have been my go to for my finicky feet for years so I'm feeling lost ......

These sandals were just uncomfortable to me. I'm sure its not the sandal, the quality was great, this style and fit is just not for me.

The footbed is too narrow near the arch so I need to return these

Too big… not enough holes on the buckle to hold the sandal on my foot. Will exchange for a smaller size

The width is comfortable but man, these feel hard as a rock to walk on. I’m returning them.

Bought these for my daughter. The color of the suede was not accurate. It was more gray than beige/taupe.

I wanted to like these, but found that they do not fit my feet well, so I had to return them.

Nice Birkenstocks but had to return them because the suede ones even on the last hole of the buckle were very loose. Otherwise the size was good other than the snugness.( if that’s a word lol)

These looked and fit great but they were not comfortable walking in due to my feet over-pronating. The arch area rubbed and I just know I would end up getting a blister and regretting my purchase so sadly, these had to go back. They are super cute though and the dark gray suede is devine

Everything great but left was smooth suede ans right was very rough suede.

The problem wasn't the size, the problem is that I don't have Birkenstock feet. My feet are flat and the upper strap on its last hole was still loose. Also the arch hits me in the wrong place. So, oh well, never mind. I am still in desperate need of sandals with arch support, I guess I'll keep trying.

I returned these as the strap across the top of my foot wasn’t tight enough. Was gonna try the narrow, but out if stock. ??

Love the color and style however the women’s sizing seems small and narrow. Will have to exchange for larger and wider style unfortunately

I purchased my usual size 8 and although the footbed was fine the first adjustable strap by the toes was too wide, I had them at the smallest notch and still too wide and I don’t have a narrow foot! Although these are unisex sizes I believe they’re made for a man or someone with a wide foot.

I ordered the soft footbed but they weren’t very soft.

These run large. Moved buckle in all the way. Still very large. Color is great. Suede is nice too. Just large

The top is too loose. Every step I take these shoes feel like they are falling off and cannot tighten them up. this also causes my toes to punch. forward over the top. Very uncomfortable. I’ve been wearing Birkenstock’s for years and this is the first time I have had a bad experience with them.

Fit was fine, but much darker color than shown and expected

The suede on the shoes didn't match each other, so they looked weird. If the shoes had matched, I would have kept them because the suede is super soft. It was definitely a quality control issue on the part of Birkenstock. I ordered directly from Birkenstock and fortunately didn't have that issue with the new pair.

I IAre unisex styles wider? I seem to be between 41 and 42 and not sure if 42 is correct that I ordered

I learned after I order these that Birkenstocks also offers a narrow fit. They are more snug to the foot and have a less clunky feel.

always love my birkenstock’s, but something about this pair is different than my others (although they’re the same size), the footbed seems extra wide and they’re really not as comfortable

These are my first Birkenstock’s and they fit fine and I was able to put them on and go straight out for a 2 mile walk on a warm evening. I hesitated buying them due to the price but was convinced that based on the reviews and Birkenstock’s reputation that they would become my ‘go to’ summer shoes while working from home. I don’t think they will, they offer no support and I think the search will continue. I have plank tile floors throughout my house that are really hard and I still prefer my much cheaper crocs for walking around in the house. These will work for evening walks and going to the pool but that’s about it. After years of hesitating to buy Birkenstock’s because of the looks I finally bought a pair and I still just don’t get their appeal.
