This sandal is worth the extra money for the soft footbed. Very comfortable, and very durable. The only problem I had was that they didn't come with enough holes on the straps making them not tight enough, so I just made my own holes. Not a big problem. These sandals are made with a softer material on the straps making them even better. In other words spend the little extra money these sandals cost because it's worth it.

Love these! I got these after first having bought the Birkis that are similar and loved them for several years. I wanted another great shoe and tried these out. The soft footbed is really nice and comfortable. I am noticing that they are wearing better than the other pair too. I will have these for years! Definitely easier on your foot than flip flops too!

My husband loved these shoes. The suede is very soft and easy to wear without that break-in period. The only issue was that we had to add another hole in the front strap to tighten the fit.

Well, now that summer is almost over - I've found the perfect sandal. These shoes are wonderfully comfortable, though they do take a few wearings to break them in. I'm on my feet all day & have had such a hard time finding shoes that don't make my feet/ankles hurt. Birkenstocks may not be all soft and cushy, but someone once told me - they might not be the shoes your feet want, but they're the shoes your feet need.

Though these sandals have a pretty steep price it is well worth it to me. I absolutely love my Arizonas and will not ever wear another shoe. This was my first soft-bed purchase. These are the most comfortable shoes that I have ever worn. And as always Zappos' speedy service keeps me coming back. They even ship quickly to my little unknown town n New Hampshire. Zappos is the best!

I bought these sandals a couple of weeks ago, just to have something to wear for the summer. Although they are pricey, and it took 3 days for them to arrive, the shoes themselves were an excellent purchase. The suede is very stylish and the arch support is remarkable; if you're thinking of purchasing Birkenstocks through Zappos, then you've got my recommendation.

I love these shoes, but would not wear for walking distances! This is why I gave them four stars. They provide good arch support! The leather straps loosen with wear so I need to make more holes for the buckle. Zappos rocks!

This is my first pair of Birkenstock sandals and it will not be my last! Another shoe that fits over my high instep! I have always had problems with straps over the top of my foot, not with these. In fact I had to tighten them! They are so comfortable. I wish I had had these a few weeks ago when the temperatures in our area were unbearably hot! I thought they were pricey but a friend has had hers for years so I feel I will be getting my money's worth.

I bought these sandals because I had read in several reviews that people with plantar fasciitis could wear them without pain. Every person is different when it comes to PF, and for me, these shoes did not alleviate the pain. Otherwise they were a great purchase -- looked great, felt comfortable (aside from my PF), and the color went with anything casual.

These sandals are the greatest classic of all times. With the soft soles and pliable leather they are a must have.

I have worn Birk Arizona's for years and have loved every minute of them! During the past couple of years I've developed multiple foot problems (arthritis, plantar fasciitis, etc.) and these Birks with soft footbed are like heaven to my feet! I still have foot pain but not as bad as with other shoes. Still love the color and the style and now have a softer footbed to add to the reason I like Arizona's.

I love these shoes. The fit is wonderful, the comfort level is through the roof, overall perfect shoe for summer.

Love these shoes - they are soft, footbed is comfortable, leather is soft on your feet. Love the adjustability on both straps - wish it were velcro though.

Birkenstocks are comfy shows, that's for sure. The soft footbed does have a softer feel, what those in the carpet industry call a soft hand, but they still offer the same solid support and firmness that Birkies always have.

I've never owned a pair of Birks before. I saw the Arizona online and the style and how it had the big two straps across, I knew I just had to have it. I picked the easy classic color of hunter brown. I had a free over night shipping, very fast indeed. Tried the shoes on and it fit perfectly. The color was exactly the same as is shown on the website. I admit that I had to get used to walking around in this type of shoes and it needed a little breaking into. But at the end of the day, I felt that the shoe fitted perfectly with my feet. I hope that this sandal will last me forever because I know that this is going to be my sandal for life! I will definitely explore more of the Birkenstock's new style.

I have had a pair of these for a year, and wanted a second pair. The second pair is nothing like the year old pair. The new pair is flimsier and the suede will not last as long.

Birkenstock Arizona is my favorite, in fact I have 4 pair at present. They are most comfortable especially for those of us suffering from arthritis in our feet. My #1 sandal!

I was really looking forward to wearing my Birkenstock's. This would be my first pair. I am sad to say that the size was a tad small. I am generally a 37 in all European shoes. I keep my fingers crossed 38 will not be too big. I walk a lot so I need something comfy. Just standing in them makes my feet very happy.

Excellent shoes -- walked more than 10 miles a day in them -- Paris/London. So comfortable and great support.

Love these sandals! I'm usually a size 7, and am glad that I ordered the size 37, my foot fits perfectly. No breaking in period at all for me and has better arch support than the rubber flip flops I've been wearing. Got the narrow width as well, I think my foot width is pretty normal though, not necessarily narrow.

This is my second pair of Birkenstocks and they are by far the most comfortable, longest lasting sandals I have ever owned. The first pair, with heavy use, lasted 8 yrs. I would recommend highly.

My last pair of Arizonas were from 1992. I found that I had to tighten the straps more than before. This is the first time I've tried the soft footbed and I definitely recommend them.
