Once I had bought a pair of soft footbed Birkies I never wanted anything else. I don't have diabetes, but they are so nice and comfortable that it made no sense to buy the regular footbed.

The Arizona with the soft footbed is very comfortable. Best of all, it comes in a narrow in the larger sizes and it has adjustable straps so I was able to make it fit my narrow foot. The only problem is I thought their sizing ran a bit small, and I wish they had half sizes as I really needed something just a bit smaller.

My son loves these shoes and wears them all the time. The soft footbed is the only way to go! Zappos is the best!

This is my third pair of Birkenstock Arizonas, but the first ones in suede and with the soft footbed. I’m a size 10 with a narrow, low volume foot, and the 40 Narrow fits perfectly. I got the Jasper suede, and the color is more sand color and less warm than in the picture, but still nice. I like the lighter color on my bare foot, it looks a little less masculine than the dark brown. I really like the soft footbed, its very comfortable but not too much cushion, and it has the added benefit of taking up some of the room when you have a low volume foot. The suede is really soft and broke in very quickly, and it has a very low nap, so it's almost like the nubuck. My only issue is that the buckle is attached with metal staples that are a bit rough and rubbed the top of my foot, so I put a piece of moleskin over them on the inside and that made the shoes a lot more comfortable. (I haven’t had to do this with my two previous pairs.) I wish all my shoes were this comfortable!

I had tried a few Birkenstock sandals, but they just didn't feel right. The straps rubbed or they were just too stiff. These were perfect! I was concerned the soft footbed wouldn't be firm enough to keep my arch...but it's perfect. They honestly are more comfortable than my slippers because of the support they give. While I wasn't sure they'd be that cute...I actually think they are really cute. I love the soft suede which doesn't rub like the leather did. I love them and am now looking for a pair of closed Birkenstocks for winter time.

Most comfortable sandals ever! But order narrow unless your feet are very very wide, and order at least a half size smaller than your usual shoe size.

After 15 years of daily wear I had to replace my old Birkenstocks. I love wearing Birkenstocks, they are so comfortable.

I had to finally replace these shoes of some 20 years plus of wear and tear. They were so comfortable with or without socks still fit without having to adjust the straps. They are great shoe overall. Best of all they are a product that I can buy from Zappos. I love this company. I wish that I could buy everything I buy from them. Hands down the best operations I have ever dealt with. Friendly, fast, fairly priced, fully stocked. I could go on and on and on. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to write a review.

I used to wear Birkenstock years ago, but they got too expensive for me. Then I decided to try them again when I couldn't find any other sandals that fit my narrowish, thin feet. I got the narrow size and they fit perfectly (thanks to Zappos for carrying this size option). They are supper comfortable and don't fall off my feet like all other sandals tend to do, and yet I can slip right into and out of them. I will probably buy a second pair soon.

I never thought it would be possible for Birkenstock to improve on the original Arizona sandal, but they did. The soft footbed is much more comfortable and gives more support than the original footbed. That is important if you have issues with pain that can make wearing sandals painful, if not impossible. I'd stopped wearing sandals, then tried this and now I'm back in them. A wonderful sandal. Extremely comfortable.

Great fit. Easy to break in because it has the "soft footbed" the color may not be for everyone. More faded black than gray. I love them!

These shoes are great. I originally ordered a size 39 as I have always worn a 39 (and sometimes a 40) in this sizing. However, the 39 was way too large. I returned the size 39, ordered a size 38, and they fit perfectly.

The color of the pictures are not the same as what you get. The taupe suede is actually a dark greenish color and not a light beige color. Otherwise, I think Birkenstocks rocks and Zappos' return policy is awesome. I just wish they got the pictures more accurate to color. I was really exited to get the taupe color, but am disappointed that I have to send them back.

Super comfortable. I've had Arizona style before but never knew about the soft sole before. They made a comfortable shoe heavenly. I can't walk around my hardwood floors without discomfort because of foot problems and these shoes are like little clouds.

I bought these Birks for my husband and he loves them. They are your typical Birkenstock with excellent footbed support. The color is a nice neutral suede and looks great with shorts or jeans.

Great shoe! My first pair of Birkenstocks and I'm in love! They took a while to break in -- I have very flat feet and the arch supports in these shoes are so great I developed huge blisters at first -- but they are absolutely great for my heel-pain. The purple suede is so cute, too. I really love them!

Comfortable right out of the box. Well built as always. No break in period. No diminishment in the quality of their construction. How many shoes can you say that about still? All the other shoes I buy feel like they are made out of packing peanuts and held together with scotch tape. Ugly and expensive, but my feet are very happy.

I absolutely love these! While Birkenstocks are not exactly fashion forward, they are amazingly comfortable. The soft footbed is particularly nice. I wear a 8.5-9 in shoes and the 39 fits me perfectly.

This is the most comfortable shoe I've ever worn. It runs large and I had to get a smaller size. It took about a week to truly break them in but it was so worth it. I love the color and feel of these shoes. I walk everywhere in them.

Just when I thought Birks couldn't be any more comfortable they fooled me! This soft sole rocks! Bought these for my hub and he loves them. Thanks Birk for doing yourself proud and making our feet the happiest in town!

Life Changing!! I had lower back pain and plantar fasciitis before these shoes. Both of these ailments so bad I thought I was going to have to quit my job because I do have to stand and thought that was the cause of my pain. Within a couple of days I could tell that these shoes were helping and since I have to wear a closed toe shoe to work I ordered the Boston clog for work. It has been about a month since wearing only Birkenstocks and my lower back pain and plantar fasciitis are gone. I am so thankful my daughter got a pair for herself and I copied her!! If not for her I probably would not have discovered these shoes because from many years ago with the hard footbed I did not like. The soft footbed are awesome with very little break in time. Birkenstocks are the only shoe I will wear from now on. If you have ever had back or foot pain and find the cure to it you stick with what works and these shoes work for me.

After reading reviews, and based on past experience with the Arizona style, I ordered these in a narrow width instead of my usual regular width. I am very glad I did because they fit perfectly. The soft footbed and decent arch support make these so very comfortable, something very important when dealing with plantar fasciitis. I also prefer the softness and slight stretch of the suede straps over solid leather. An all-around nice sandal!

I love the Zappos reviews, so honest! I chose comfort and foot health over false beauty and now I think these shoes are gorgeous! Great support. The cork sole doesn't last as long as I would like but I can wear them for hours of moderate walking a day, every day! Love these shoes.
