Nothing I've found beats Birkenstock soft footbed for comfort. I wore a pair to Disney World and walked all day in them. Feet and legs never hurt. Zappos is awesome also!

I am recovering from some nasty foot surgery and discovered that the only shoes that I can walk in are Birkenstocks. I had an old pair that had molded to my pre-surgery feet, so I decided it was time to order a new pair in suede since I decided it would be nice & soft. First, I ordered the taupe & loved them -- the suede is so soft & comfy! So I came back for a black pair. It is the same great shoe & footbed, but the suede is not real soft at all! The suede is actually stiff enough that you can just slip your foot into the sandal. The suede is so soft on the taupe sandals that you can't do that. I'm keeping them and hoping the suede softens up over time. I've had leather Arizona's where I've actually taken an emery board and ran it over the edges of the leather a few times to soften it up because it was digging into my toes -- I think I may have to do that with one of the edges of the black suede. So I'm a little disappointed in that, but the sandals, as always, are fabulous.

Priced them out on other sites, and as always, Zappos was the best price and quickest shipping! So comfortable. True to size. Ordered a narrow and it's perfect. So glad I splurged!

Great shoe and very comfortable. This is my second pair of Birkenstock Arizona Soft Footbed sandals, I also own them in taupe and I love them. I am a size 8 shoe and according to the Birkenstock size chart I should wear a 39 but they are too big. For me a 38 is perfect.

My third pair of this sandal. Perfect fit-true to size. Ready to wear out of the box and delivery is lightning fast. I love Zappos!

I have one foot that needs a half size larger than the other if I don't buy open back and I nearly always buy Birkenstock because of the variety available. Have been buying Birks for over 20 years and have yet to be disappointed.

A wonderful classic. I had these sandals many years ago, gave them away, and then decided I wanted them again. Comfortable. They run big. Buy a size smaller than usual. Also, I have a wide foot, but fit better in the narrow size.

If you are a woman, order in narrows, otherwise since it is unisex, the wide ones pertain to men's. IT took me having to do this three times to figure out my size in these Birkenstocks.

This is my first but not the last purchase will be ever. They are the best in customer service as Nordstrom. I was highly surprised the way handle my order. Thank you, Zappos!

I love these sandals! Why haven't I gotten the soft foot bed before? They are so comfortable.

I've been admiring Birkenstock from afar for about 20 years and I finally bought a pair. Love them. Hard to take them off at night. Now I know why folks are nuts about these things.

These sandals run large. I took a full size smaller. They are very comfortable. I an glad that I bought them. I had forgotten how easy Zappos is to use and had no issues exchanging.

Once I got the smaller size, they were immediately comfortable. I love them. They just run bigger than the closed toe Birkenstock.

These sandals are great. I bought them for my husband who was having problems with plantar fasciitis and these immediately helped. They are really comfortable. I highly recommend the softer footbed. They are much more comfortable.

I absolutely love these sandals! I have two other pairs of Arizonas but have never tried the suede. The suede is very soft compared to my other leather Arizonas. I also really like the color - velvet grey. It's a rich, dark grey that looks equally well with black bottoms as well as grey bottoms or anything in between. Also, love the soft footbed. Really makes the breaking in process quite painless.

Received my Birks very promptly and of course, fit perfectly and could not be happier with the service from Zappos.

I wore these shoes in college in the early 90's. I was surprised when my 15 year old daughter asked for a pair but knowing the quality and comfort of these sandals I purchased a pair for her. Birkenstock continues to make quality sandals. The new narrow width fits women much better and the soft footbed is an added bonus. The suede is extremely soft and these shoes are comfortable out of the box. The only struggle was finding the right European size. If you wear a women's size 9-10, it is hard to decide if the 40 or 41 is right for you.

LOVE THESE! Color goes with everything! Ran large though. I normally wear an 8 but I got the 7-7.5 size and I got them narrow and they were perfect!

Color looks prettier online. But otherwise, this is the comfiest shoe I have ever worn! Can't wait for summer, so I can sport my Birks every day!

Birkenstock gave me a gift, a hope that I may have decent looking, COMFORTABLE shoes! Being a nurse I worked 17 years 12 hrs shifts on my feet. Now even WW width does fit me. But Birkenstock does. I even drive with my shoes on - which I didn't do for years! Thank you.

I absolutely love these! I am typically a 7 or 7½ with a very high arch. I purchased these in a 38 with narrow width and they are perfect!

I purchased these Arizona Suede Soft footbed (Taupe) size 38 Regular width. Fit could not be more perfect! I normally wear a size 8½ women's regular width in regular (sports) shoes, but sometimes I buy wide shoes if I can find them. These feel like they were made for my feet. I am not real crazy about the color, although they are better looking than I thought they would be. They have been out of the color I wanted so I decided to get these. I bought them in the middle of winter - so I will only be wearing them around the house until weather improves (I live in Washington State - so that could be May!) My feet hurt so badly after wearing flip-flops last summer that I decided to get some sandals that actually have proper support. I like them so much that am planning on purchasing a second pair. Zappos was quick about getting them here. I ordered on January 28th and got them on February 2nd. As they fit so well, these are not going back - so I cannot comment on the return policy - but I was counting on it if I needed to return them. I am very pleased with this purchase.

I resisted this shoe for years, siting its unflattering style (for me). Until now. I find it's still unflattering but I've NEVER found a pair of shoes that makes me happier (from a fit, contour, arch and comfort point of view). Exceptional doesn't begin to describe it. I mostly wear with socks. I'm a U.S. size 7. I have 2 pairs now, sz 38 and 37 - the 37 is better but both definitely work. The 37 is narrow and I love that too. The suede is fabulous. I wear them mostly with socks (although it's winter now). If you care about or maintain your arch, this shoe is PERFECTION. And best of all (besides Zappos), Made in Germany.
