They fit great, look really cute, and they seem to help keep my ankle straight. I had ankle surgery and have some trouble but after wearing I can tell they are making my foot and ankle straight as it should be.

I bought these to use indoors, to try to relieve my plantar fasciitis pain. I love them! They really help my foot pain a lot, and are way cuter than I expected them to be. I plan to buy another pair next year for outdoor use. I have wide feet and am generally approximately an 8.5, but that's mostly because of the width, I'm more of a 7.5 in length. In these, a 38 was perfect. I also have high arches.

They are very comfortable. Soft footbed is still supporting. Love them. Great for home and around house. Wish I could work in them.

Although the historic, one-width, Birkenstock line fit my foot better, I am a big fan of this brand all the way around. They’re great quality, durable, very comfortable, and are great for my feet. The arch support is excellent. They relieve the pain I have from plantar fasciitis. The soft footbed is more comfortable for my particular feet than the original. (I have flat, low volume, but not narrow feet.) I used to wear the original footbeds and after a couple of weeks of wear, as the footbed conformed to my feet, they were wonderfully comfortable too. As for the straps, suede is my favorite material. They are so soft and feel great against the tops of my feet. I ordered a pair of black suede and a pair of taupe at the same time. I liked both colors but favored the black. The taupe is very neutral. However, there can be quite a variation in the color of the taupe sandals from pair to pair. Just in the pairs I’ve seen, some were light, some were tan-gray, some were tan-yellow, and some were three or four shades darker. Unfortunately I needed to return both pairs of these shoes as the regular width is too wide for me on the Arizona style. The straps are too long and there are no holes if I tighten them up enough to wear them. It also isn’t effective to punch additional holes in them. This is because the straps come across the foot at an angle. Thus additional holes in the center of the strap cause the tightened straps to gap and buckle on one side.

Basically.....perfect.

HO LEE MACKEREL. These sandals were the best purchase I made all summer. I've been wanting a pair of Birkenstocks for well over a year and i'm so glad i finally got past the price tag and purchased! If you have 'normal' width feet like me and want a more slim fit I recommend the narrow size. There is a bit of a breaking in period, but nothing too severe or uncomfortable. I have high arches but i'm not used to wearing anything with arch support. The first day i wore them they felt...odd. But no blisters or rubbing/chaffing. But they break in quick, after that first day it was smooth sailing! My go to pair of summer shoes. Get them you won't regret it!

Don't be alarmed if these shoes feel HUGE when you first put them on! This is my first pair of Birkenstocks, and I had no real idea what to expect. I have flat feet, so I ordered the regular width, but initially thought they were huge. So i ordered the narrow, which felt better. But then I did some research on how you're supposed to fit them and realized that the regulars are the way to go. They're meant to be big, as they allow your foot to fit comfortably without being smushed. Now that I know that, I'm in love! I got the Velvet Gray suede in the soft sole, and I love love love love them. They are SO COMFY, even with my flat feet! The arch is already molding to my foot, and after a few minutes of wear, I barely feel it. I'm so glad I purchased them. I will say, the straps were too big initially - even on the last hole. But I took them to a store that sells Birkies, and they were kind enough to punch additional holes in the strap for me. Now they're perfect!

I have been wearing this style of birkenstock for 20 years but with the classic footbed. This is the first time I tried with the soft footbed. These are so comfortable! I am amazed. I typically wear 7.5-8 wide and the 37 medium fit perfect.

This is my second pair of these - my first pair I had for over 15 years & I finally broke down to get a new pair! I got these in narrow this time, which is a better fit. I love the softness of the footbed. It takes a few wearings to break them in well & take the shape of your foot, but once it does there is nothing as comfortable as these shoes. The suede straps are soft, there is nothing poking or rubbing anywhere, & I just love them.

Very comfortable right out of the box and getting even better every day. No surprise here. It's hard to beat Birkenstock in the comfort department.

I didn't have a problem with these sandals other than the fact that the black suede ones faded black on my feet everywhere they touched.

I tried both a 41 & 42 in narrow. I'm a size 10US medium and felt that the 41 fit (and looked) a bit better than the 42 on me. The 42 felt loose across the top of my foot even after tightening the straps to the final notch.

Tried the shoes on in a store first and discovered that I needed one size smaller than my normal size. Went for the suede straps because I wanted easy break in. There was one spot of errant glue inside one shoe that connected the upper to the lower that poked into my foot for a while. The shoes are comfortable and they are providing good support for the many troubles I have with my foot. I hope they will be good in the long run as I have to just give up on so many shoes I have bought. Fingers and toes crossed.

Felt true to size. Had never tried the soft footbed, love it. Comfortable right out of the box.

I ordered the Habana leather and exchanged them for the grey suede. They look much better and are super comfortable. I will definitely purchase another pair of Birks in another color.

I have worn these shoes for years. These felt wider than usual. In the future I would order a narrow for this style.

I bought the Arizona in velvet gray suede, 37R, soft footbed. They are literally pillows for your feet. The velvet suede is just that. Wrap your feet in comfort. 37 is generally for 6.5-7 and the regular width is for medium to wide width. Also, the regular will allow for you to wear socks in cooler months. The Arizona is the most recognized shoe style and is popular for both men and women. **if you are unsure of your size, read directions on a birkenstock website to determine sizing, there is a method with the toe bar and heel cup and you may think that they are too big, adjust the straps. One site I purchased from in the past, used a pencil tracing and measurement of my feet to help me select the proper fit. Awesome shoes so give yourself a treat and make the investment.

I had to get a larger size for the sandals(46) because of the lip on the insole - my toes would rub against it - but i got the same size for the birki professionals and my feet were swimming in them - had to get a smaller size for them ( 45 ) - but Zappos was great in handling the return and even expedited the shipment on the sandals - WOW - thats why I reordered the other pair - and even though they didnt fit either - it was a pleasure dealing wth the returns - The shoes are great - my feet are happy - my wife has been wearing Birkenstocks for ever and I finally listened to her. Looking forward to shopping more - especially when the experience is truly better than a brick and mortar. Thanks!

Birkenstocks are terrific, but I guess now that I’m older I need a shoe with a back. I’ll be checking out other styles.

I’ve worn Birks for decades. Always super comfy and the Soft Footbed styles are the best for wearing immediately w/o the typical Birkenstock break-in period. I actually returned the leather for suede as the suede is softer on the feet. The grey is a perfect color. If you’ve never worn Birks, get the soft footbed! I have quite a few Gizehs, but like the Arizona as well. The only bad thing about Birkenstocks is that I have to put them away when the rain starts ??
