I was dumb and didn’t measure my foot as suggested before I ordered the “regular” width. After wearing them for a week and having to put the buckles on the last hole, I realized they are just too big. The size was correct (39), but I sent them back and exchanged for the same in a “narrow” width.

My foot is a little wide. The normal width worked fine, and the buckles can adjust as needed. I got two pair - the Habana and also the taupe suede.

I'm a female with average width feet, but need wider shoes because of a bunion on my left foot. These are perfect in the regular width, as I can adjust the straps on both shoes to fit the different widths I need. Comfortable from first wear (I've found some styles of Birkenstocks aren't because the leather is stiff at first).

I wear women's size 12M. Ordered the 12-12.5 narrow, since they are unisex. Fits perfectly. I have the buckles on the next to smallest hole, so if you normally wear a narrow, these will probably be too wide. Super comfy.

Great sandal looks good with everything.

The best of the best. The soft footbed is worth the extra cost. The suede leather is extremely high quality and comfortable!

I love Birkenstocks. This is admittedly my 6th pair, but only my second pair of the soft footbed. My last pair of soft footbed was also the Arizona and they lasted about 7 or 8 years. The cork had begun to wear out on the heal. I know that I can have them repaired, but I've always just sprung for a new pair when that happens. This time I decided to get the narrow width because my last pair continued to stretch throughout their life and I finally ran out of room to tighten them. I don't have a traditionally narrow foot, but since these are unisex I think that the medium runs a little wide to accommodate male feet as well and I've found that the narrow fits more like a traditional medium width in women's shoes. I love the soft footbed and probably won't go back. My only complaint is that Birkenstock doesn't offer the soft footbed in all of their designs. I highly recommend these shoes!

Very comfortable right out of the box. No break in period needed

Fit and size are spot on as always with Birkenstocks. The navy color is a great option for a neutral color that goes with black or brown!

As a flat-footed person, I've never successfully worn these but thought I'd give them a try. Unfortunately, the edge of the leather, which is pretty firm, dug into my arch and was so uncomfortable, I knew I'd not be able to wear these. Had to return them.

You can't go wrong with Birkenstocks if you need arch support or need to recover from wearing high heels for several decades. I am 60 years old and had some foot issues from long-time wearing of heels in my profession. These Birkenstock sandals helped heal that damage and are my go-to shoes at home and all summer. The normal width were too wide, though, so I had to return them and get a 39 narrow. I definitely recommend.

I’ve worn Birkenstocks for years but this is the first Soft Footbed pair I’ve had. The difference is tremendous! I actually bought these just for the suede upper and the footbed was secondary. I’ll never go back! Sizing was spot on. I wear a 42 and these were no different. The width option was something I’ve never seen and I found the “narrow” to be a normal width and the “normal” to be wide. Unless you have Fred Flinstone feet stick with the “narrow” width.

This is the third pair of Birks I've owned and thanks to reviews and assistance on sizing from Zappos I think I have finally purchased the correct width! In the past I have purchased medium width in all my shoes but this time after reading the reviews I purchased narrow. I do not have narrow feet. Actually have a high arch. But these narrow Birks feel perfect. I have not worn them outside yet, just around in the house to make sure. I love Birks with the "Soft Footbed" - they are so comfortable and feel great after wearing all day long. However, after purchasing previously they always stretch and become too wide and I have to keep tightening the buckles with new holes . This narrow size seems to fit perfect. I'm also impressed with Zappos. They make ordering online extremely easy. This isn't my first purchase with Zappos and won't be my last! Easier than going to the store!

These sandals fit like a glove right out of the box. The soft footbed is great for my feet as I have both arthritis and neuropathy from chemo. They are about the only shoes I can wear without pain. The suede is soft and not as unforgiving on the top of my foot as the leather. Fantastic sandals!

Birkenstock’s in my opinion are one of the most comfortable brand of Sandals ever. The size was perfect and I’m glad I bought them.

Once again, Zappos, you and Birkenstock have made me happy, happy, happy! I have found that the Arizona style, in regular width, keep my flat, arthritic feet comfortable and groovy at the same time. With the soft footbed there is no break-in time needed...just adjust the straps and stroll on! The blue leather is beautiful, which is an added bonus. Zappos, your delivery time is outstanding, and your return policy is a breeze! These babies will not be returned...once again, you have me smiling!

These shoes are the only shoes I wear year round. I have a nerve injury to my foot along with neuropathy and rheumatoid arthritis and these are the only shoes that don't hurt to walk in. I cannot live without them. I was able to walk 40 miles at Disneyworld in 4 days in these. I would size down half a size or maybe more. You really don't want extra room. I'm usually a size 10.5 and I order the 40

Still my favorite Birkenstock and my all time favorite shoe. The soft footbed and the OH SO SOFT suede straps means I never have to break these in at all. Super comfy right out of the box. Straps should be loose so you can easily slide a finger between the strap and my foot. Toes and heel should not come to the edge of the shoe by have 5 mm space. Yes, they are ugly, but I don't care. I'm a 9 1/2 and a size 40 regular fits me perfectly. I do not like the narrow width because the heel feels too tight. Medium with for my B width feet.

They make a little fart noise occasionally when I walk because the arch support makes great connection and so the suction noise is kinda funny. I guess it’s a thing with the brand for some people. But overall I love them and will get more.

I originally went up a size based on recommendations and had to return because they were too large. I have a wide foot and have high arches and felt the shoes were comfortable especially for when I am on my feet all day long. The only issue I have is when I try to wear with socks (lame I know), they are too snug despite being on the last hole.

I bought these under the presumption that they are the most comfortable shoes to own. It took me 6 months of wearing and constantly adjusting looking for that fit. They were so uncomfortable at first. I couldn't wear them loose, but couldn't wear them tight. I almost gave up and sent them packing. Then it was like a miracle overnight. They molded to my feet and really are the most comfortable shoes I own. I find myself wearing these as house slippers, errand doers, and casual night out footwear. I hate that I love them so much because we had such a rough start! I am contemplating purchasing a second pair in another style, but am not looking forward to the new break in period.

Well, I received two of the same size. Returning because they were too big. Will try to get another pair a size smaller. The taupe is beautiful and am disappointed they were the wrong size.
