If you are confused about sizes / widths, remember this Arizona Bork is UNISEX. I am a size 8 in pretty much any brand but in Birkenstock’s, I always go a size down and get a 38 (which says 7-7.5). The narrow width is meant for women since again the shoe is unisex (regular is meant for men or women with wider feet). This is my second pair of Birks, I also have the Mayari and this Arizona soft footbed is amazing and so comfy!

This is my first pair. I had no idea that buying Birkenstocks could be so confusing - leather, oiled leather, Birko-flor, Birko-whatever, suede, soft footbed, original footbed, etc. I had to do more research than I could imagine to make sure I had them where they fit right. I wear a solid 8.5 in regular shoes. Wound up with a 39. The 38 fit better in that my toes could grip the raised toe grip perfectly, but the end of my toes touched the top, and that bothered me. Chose the regular vs. narrow. Average width feet, and both fit fine, but I noticed that with the average, I could really spread my toes out whereas with the narrow, it felt like a normal shoe. My daughter has much more narrow feet, and the narrow fit her beautifully (although she’s not interested in Birkenstocks). The leather felt very rough to my feet, so I got the suede. However, the holes in both differed. For the suede, I eventually had to use a drill to make new holes because they weren’t tight enough, whereas the leather had more holes to go. Also, my left foot has an occasional “foot fart” noise in these shoes. I didn’t notice it until I actually took them outside for a walk, which at that point I had committed to keeping them and was not trying them on. I’m hoping it goes away as I wear in the shoe and it conforms to my foot. Overall, I like them and they are super comfortable!

I am a BIG believer in Birks, but this pair was NARROW!

I’m giving these three stars as I ordered in my regular Birkenstock size and my foot flopped around in the shoe excessively. I had the straps on the tightest setting and still nearly lost my shoes walking upstairs / tripped / etc. mind you, I love Birkenstock’s and will try these in a narrow and with a leather band rather than suede, but could not rate the suede highly this time.

I had not realized that in the past I had been wearing a narrow version of Birkenstock Arizonas. The Regular width soft footbed fits my foot like a glove and I enjoy walking with them. Great support!

Very disappointed. The insoles in these seemed to completely deflate leaving me with a very sloppy pair of shoes. I have somewhat low volume feet, but when new these felt fabulous on the tightest buckle setting. After three or four months the soft insoles flattened out. At 118 pounds, I am not a big person. The black outsole is also slightly spreading as if it is slowly melting. If the straps had more holes I could make them fit better. A lot of people say they love the soft footbed. For me it’s a fail.

The sandals were the right length and the foot bed felt right but the straps were too long. Even when fastened on the first hole they were too loose. I am a medium width but not for these sandals.

Love the fit and style

I have a pair of Mayaris in 40 narrow from a couple years ago that fit well. These in the same size felt both too short and too narrow.

I love Birkenstock’s, and thought these would be fine in narrow as i have a narrow foot but it actually squished my foot in the footbed, so am returning and will get normal ones

I love my Birkenstocks but the rating selections available were limited. I had surgery on one foot, a screw in my big toe and a callus on the ball of one foot, with all of these issues these shoes are still VERY comfortable; however, if you do not have a pronounced arch, a very high arch, these shoes might not be for you. I can adjust my foot to circumvention the arch discomfort. I have an arch but not a very high arch and due to an unsuccessful foot surgery I have no arch on that foot with issues. Overall, they are comfortable (the reason I assigned an excellent arch support rating) but "not" completely for me due to the lack of an arch. I wear daily with hopes of breaking down the arch. No luck yet. I've had them just under a month.

I am a solid size 6 and ordered the size 36 (5-5.5) based on other reviews which is why I indicated that the size felt a full size larger. I opted for the Narrow width which was perfect. I ordered both the regular and Soft Footbed styles to see which one I liked better and the Soft Footbed style definitely feels more comfortable and less stiff. Also, it does not seem to make the trapped air under foot noise like the regular style did. My only complaint about the shoes is that the left pair had a huge glue spot (see pic) by the toe section...I could even smell the glue when I opened the box. I'm unfortunately going to have to exchange them.

As a first time Birkenstock owner, I was mostly concerned with selecting the correct size and walking around on two wooden slabs (back in the day at the Dead shows, I recall my friends Birkies as quite hard). I wear medium width, men's 10.5, and I ordered a regular 43. While I'm on the last hole in one strap and the second to last in the other, when you read that these run true to size, you can believe it. As for comfort, after walking around for about an hour or so, I felt like I was born in them. The suede leather is very supple, and the footbed is soft and comfortable. I chose the velvet gray, and I'm very happy with how they look. Zappos also shipped very quickly. All around good stuff.

Fits like a Birkenstock - a little sloppy and the footbed isn’t as comfortable as a mephisto. The suede tops are very soft and floppy and take a minute to get your toes under.

While the length and width of the foot-bed were spot-on, the straps do not have enough holes in them. I could not tighten them up, making the shoe unwearable. Unfortunately, I'm having to return these. If I go with the narrow width, the Birkenstock foot-bed will be too narrow.

Great fit!

I always take a 40 reg. in Birkenstocks but these were WAY too wide, I'm sure because they are unisex. Returned them for a narrow, hopefully they won't take too long to get here, Zappos has been taking way longer to ship than they used to, I would say due to the pandemic but other places I've been shopping haven't slowed down.

I have a wide flat foot these fit my feet perfectly! If you have a wide foot this is the shoes for you! If you have a narrow foot get the narrow size. The shoe is so soft very comfortable!

Your box label said 42 (the size I ordered but the sandals inside were size 41. Amazed Zappo's didn't catch this.

Had to exchange for a full size smaller than my normal shoe size. They’re great, though! A++ customer service as usual (: Was even given a first responder credit. They do right by the customer every time at Zappos and that’s what keeps me purchasing my shoes here.

These are my first pair of Birkenstocks a Mother's Day gift that has so far been worth the money. They are comfortable, you can adjust them to your comfort. I love them!

Loved the look of this sandal but it did not fit.......very wide. I re-ordered the same shoe in a narrow width and am crossing my fingers that it will fit! If it does, I'm certain it will get a 5 star rating.
