I have been waiting too long to get a pair of these and was excited to get back into town to open my new birks, however once i arrived home to finally open the package, it wasn't in original Birkenstock box and its very evident they are a used pair by the wear on the footbed. I will try to order a new pair but im very upset i paid $150 for a used item. The wide feels too big anyways so hopefully the narrow ones will be a better choice and not a used pair this time.

My favorite shoe - so comfortable

I previously tried the EU 39N, which is alleged to be 8-8.5 and my toes tended to hit the ridge, so it seemed a bit too short. I then ordered the 40N. The width was fine, but the length was too long and with my heel in the heel cup there was more than 1/2 inch in front of my toes. I normally wear a sz 9 in women's shoes. I looked online and saw a different chart for Birkenstock and it said 8.5-9 is a 39. I wonder if this chart is an older chart and if Birkenstock changed their sizing? The other issue I had with this particular shoe in suede is how raggedy the suede was. What's with the rough appearance? Is that supposed to be trendy? It looks cheap imho. I will be sending these back. Not sure what to do ... if I should order the 39 in regular width as some other ladies did and who said the regular width also gives you more room in length? Or just scrap Birkenstock altogether and move on to another brand? I really wanted these to work!

Maybe it’s me, but now I know how to identify narrow vs wide version. I have returned 2 pairs so far, with the first fitting but looked like someone wore them with dirty feet for a week then returned. Second pair was wide, even though I ordered narrow. I’m trying for pair #3 so will see tomorrow if what I receive is correct width. Zappos, you need better quality control, please.

The taupe suede has a bit of a greenish tint to it, so I exchanged them for the sandcastle color, which is more the light tan color I was looking for.

Disappointed.....the shoe in the box was not a size narrow. The labeling on the box was correct, but the actual shoe was incorrect as far as width. Rather than hassling with a return and exchange, I kept the sandal & added a hole into the strap to improve the fit.

These were billed as a 9-9.5. Since I usually wear a 9, this was as close as I could come to my size. They are too big, but they are also comfortable, so I decided to keep them. I'm just disappointed that a shoe this expensive does not come to size. Most likely will never buy again.

I had originally ordered the wide version of the soft footbed Arizonas and was uncertain about the fit since my foot seemed to be slipping around in the shoe too much with the buckles on the tightest setting. I do have a wider foot as a female so I thought for certain the regular / narrow version wouldn't fit right, but when I went into a store and tried them on I realized I did need the non-wide version all along. Also, I range between a 6.5-7 depending on the shoe brand and the 37 (6-6.5) in the Birkenstocks fit perfectly.

I wear a size 6 and usually purchase size 37. I bought a size 37 Narrow and they felt big so I returned them and bought the size 36 and they fit perfectly.

I have worn Birkenstocks around the house and casually for thirty years; I put custom orthotics in all my other shoes b/c I have very flat feet. For me, they wear true to size. I'm somewhere between 11 and 12 in US sizes, depending on the shoe; E width, so a little wide. 44 regular works for me in their sizing. The soft footbed sandals are easier to break in; I have worn and worn out four pair of birkenstocks - two pair of Boston clogs, a pair of Milanos (heel strap), and just replaced a pair of Arizonas. If you like a sandal with somewhat more firm leather uppers, look at the oiled or smooth leather models; suede is softer. Suede also tends to get marked up or stained more readily. I haven't tried the synthetic upper birko-flor, don't really see the point in that when these last for years, and leather tends to break in and wear better over time. Trying them on, though, the synthetic uppers are smooth on the outside, soft on the inside, so they're pretty comfortable with no break-in.

This is my first pair of Birkenstock sandals. I ordered them in Black suede with a soft footbed in unisex. Because of my feet swelling I wanted the available extra width. I am in love with these comfortable shoes

perfect color, size and shoe. I have had many that are too big. some too small. I got a 39 narrow this time as i like the look better - no big wide sweep of extra sole at the top

Stunning color. I've worn Birkenstocks for 20 years or more. I have hammer toes so it cringe looking at them, but they are probably my favorite color yet. I have worn mostly this style and prefer suede and soft footbed. I bought the narrow this time and the fit looks much better on me - size 39 - than the 40 which it too big, wide and round at toe - esp in regular. I wear theses shoes everywhere and in the house, (I have indoor and outdoor pairs). I also wear several other styles and this style is my comfort shoe.

I bought the suede unisex soft bed sandal in regular width because I needed extra wide shoes since I have a medical condition where my feet are swelling. These have soft straps that adjust . This is my first pair of Birkenstocks and I love them

I tried a size larger and a size smaller and those were considerably poorer fits. These feel a half size off, for my feet anyway. And I know Birkenstocks take a while to break in, but after a whole spring and summer of wearing them I felt like I still had another 15-30% of break-in left to go.

Fit as expected. Comfortable, my only concern is if the suede stretches.

It took me three times to find the right fit of Arizona birks. I believe the soft footbed is the original fit, which is very comfy, and the unisex regular width is what has the less angled slope allowing my long toes to not hit the edge. I’m so glad to finally find my perfect fit of these classic, comfy and stylishly ugly shoe.

LOVE Birkenstocks! I'm so glad they're "in" again! I got my first pair in 2005 for my 15th birthday and they lasted until around 2020. The suede never had issues, but the sole started separating from the footbed. I purchased the same pair in narrow and they fit like a glove. Such great support for my high arches. There is nothing nicer than the feeling of taking off your hiking boots and socks after miles in the woods and slipping into clean socks and Birkenstocks. I do not have narrow feet, but I feel Birkenstocks run wide, which is why I went for the narrow option.

I’m disappointed in the suede material. It’s soft, but so soft that the straps don’t hold their shape. Can’t use them as slides. Have to bend down and use two hands to put them on. Would not recommend this version of Birkenstocks.

The straps of these sandals are nice and soft but collapse making it a pain to just slip on. The straps are also wide and being suede they will stretch further. Probably a good fit for someone with very wide feet.

We were sent the incorrect size that was ordered. We ordered a size 38 and were sent a size 37.

Live by Birks! My go to when traveling! Perfect for walking and look super cute! I am typically a 6 but ordered them in 5 as they tend to run big!
