It's not really so much that they're too small in length, but that they're not wide enough- I don't have an exceptionally wide foot, either- and the band across the top of the foot is too tight. Also, the arch support is there, but there's not enough support. I'd say "low" arch support, rather than none. (But that's not one of the menu choices.) I really wanted these to work. They're very cute. And maybe they would have stretched out eventually, but I can't afford to take that chance and throw away $40 if they don't.

When I first put these on I thought, "Great, this are going to be good" because they felt right on my feet, not small and not large. But, as I wore them around the house that afternoon, I began to feel some pain in my legs. When I woke up the next day and was putting them on, I started to wonder if the pain would come back, and actually to dread walking in them. and, sure enough, the pain was there almost immediately. So, I wondered why and paid attention to how I walked in them. Immediately I realized that when I stepped down, it was my heel that was hitting the floor, but my toes were not. For some reason, on my feet the toe is somewhat raised, and all the weight goes to the heel, and in turn that makes my legs hurt. So, I had to return them. Now I know that I have to make sure whatever I order has has least some "lift" in the heel. Maybe if they had zero arch support they would not cause the leg pain because maybe the entire foot would touch ground on each step instead of only the heel. Whatever, they are nice looking, fit the foot well but have this one issue of not working right for me.

I wear a 8.5. These are tight and small probably because of the lining. It seems crazy to order extra large. I think if each pair of slippers were sized with one number rather than a range, it would be more accurate. So for now I’m snugging my feet into them in the hope they will stretch a bit. I will not buy an 8-9 size again. One or the other.

I wear an 8 or 8.5 in almost every type of shoe. This was a size medium which is supposed to be sz. 8-9. It was too small and tight across the top of my foot. I know other reviewers said they would stretch over time but I just don't think you should have to break in slippers and I know the next size up would be too big. They are really nice looking but back they go...

Too bad these only come in a few sizes meant to fit all (but not this shopper)! Cute slippers and very warm and cozy inside, but much too shallow at the arch and small for my size nines. They're going back . . .

My third pair of Acorns. Quality seems to have declined. Felt is very thin. Soles are lighter and thinner than previous wool slippers. Usually wear a size 7 and these feel a bit short.

The slippers I received are quite a bit different from the photos. I ordered the garnet and what I received is more like a dark brownish burgundy when I was expecting the bright beautiful red from the photos on the website. In the photo on the website they also have a black band of fabric at the top and mine don't have that. It was honestly quite shocking and a little disappointing when I opened the package. I'm almost wondering if I received the wrong slippers? Other than the colors being wrong I do really like the slippers. They fit perfectly and they are extremely comfortable and don't make my feet sweat like other slippers I've owned.

Cute and cozy, like all mule slippers I've ever had from Acorn. I wouldn't change a thing about the slippers but they do seem a wee bit overpriced. Not compared to other Acorn slippers but just, for slippers.

I take a 7.5 so these slippers felt to small. I wear a 7.5 & 8 so finding Acorn slippers hard to fit plus a have a high arch.

These slippers were too small for my foot to slide in easily. I wear an 8 1/2 so I ordered size 8/9 in a M width. They were both too short and too narrow. They are attractive sturdy slippers so I was sorry to return them, but I was looking for a slipper I could get on quickly without a lot of work to get my foot inside, and these are not the slipper.

I was charged return shipping when I wanted to exchange this slipper for another size up. Most companies I have dealt with online do not charge return shipping on exchanges.

Not so comfy. the right-side on the bottom of the inside (heel area) was very obvious and annoyingly felt. The shoe was narrow, assume the felt would stretch if I would keep. This would be the right size in length if you are 7.5 (or 8)

Very stiff, no arch and a full size smaller than marked. But attractive.

I wear these as 'house shoes' while I am at home. Inexact sizing, s,m,l,xl, makes the fit poor. They are loose, which makes stairs problematic. I added arch supports. They are very warm and very cute. But I probably prefer exact sizing.

Lovely boiled wool comfy slippers. I have two other pairs of similar styles. Same size. But these are too large. Not sure why.

The position of the arch support for my foot made the slipper uncomfortable. I gifted it to a relative who loves the slipper. I bought a Large which is the size that fits me in another Acorn slipper. I wear a 71/2-8. The person who now wears them also wears an 8- 8.5.

I got these as a holiday gift and I love the look but not the fit. My old slippers were too worn down and had no padding underfoot. The insole on these is very nice and the design is pretty, but I'm really disappointed with the toe box. There is no "box." The top of the slipper slants down so that it squashes my toes. More vertical room is required for this footwear to be comfortable. The shape makes the slippers feel too small, although I think I have the right size. (I got a small and am not sure if a medium would have been too big, since I wear a size 6 or 6.5 depending on the shoe.) I'm trying to stretch the slippers by cramming socks into the toes. They would have been perfect if they just left room for how people's feet are actually shaped. Slippers aren't dress shoes and therefore need room for me to wiggle my toes.

A big request: I have loved the HENNA SCUFF WM (A11413PEO)....and can't find it anywhere. It is my favorite style...living in Texas, I don't need the fluffy-warm lining in my houseshoes. The Tara Mule is OK...but not as great as the Henna Scuff. jane Barnhill

Too loose; no coverage over the heel makes it feel like foot is slipping out.

The lining of the slipper is already getting weird in less than a month of use. Would not recommend.
