Cute shoe! This was my first Alegria purchase. I had heard many good things about the brand and it's comfort, I was so surprised to find that these shoes did not have rubber soles! For the price I didn't expect the cheap plastic soles. I have arthritis in both knees and need the shock absorption of rubber soles so I have to return these.

They are great for helping my plantar fasciitis and heel spur when photographing 12 hour weddings every weekend. But they are so squeaky every time I take a step.

I bought my usual size in these shoes and they fit as expected. However, while the toe box is roomy enough, so is the rest of the shoe. I had to cinch the strap tight in order to keep my foot from slipping forward, resulting in the strap nearly sweeping the floor on the inside of the shoe. The padding seems to be sufficient, but not soft. Combined with the hard sole, I would think it would become uncomfortable after much walking. Besides, the soles, due I presume to the material and shape, rather clack on my hardwood floors. One could not walk quietly through a museum or library with these! And when they say dusty, they mean dusty. There is a weird random bloom on the shoes. Since it is random, and not overall, or in the same location on both shoes, it just makes the shoes look scuffed in odd places. Finally, the appearance is dorky. That is not the look for me.

These did not stand up to everyone's reviews. I tried them on and the comfort was not what I expected. I am definitely going to return these.

Lots of cushioning. Might have been comfortable had the fit been right. I wear a 38 in Danskos with thick socks. I ordered the same in this shoe and my toes were pressed against the end of the shoe and this was without any socks at all. The shoe was also very wide, though, so sizing up would not have worked for me.

I was looking for a super comfortable yet stylish flat I can wear to work ( i’m a social worker and on my feet almost all day) All the reviews of these shoes said how super comfortable they were, so I was really looking forward to receiving them. Sadly, I am quite disappointed. The shoe does not feel comfortable at all, it feels hard and scratchy on my feet, and the edge hits the knuckle of my big toe in an uncomfortable way. I was expecting the shoes to be soft and cushy, just like the reviews said. Instead they feel stiff as cardboard, and after wearing them in my house for five minutes, I couldn’t wait to take them off. They will probably break in, but I’m not sure I want to go through the torture. The style is cute, but think the shoes will have to go back, alas. :-(

I wanted to love these because Algeria is a comfort brand & I need a comfortable shoe. The top rubbed & they were not that comfortable to walk in. I had to send back.

The are a really cute shoe and I wish I could have worn them. Zappos recommended a 38 for an 8-8.5 but I found them very tight/small and had to size up to a 39. But even in the larger size, the shoe pressed terribly on the tops of my toes. Unless you have thin feet, I suggest avoiding this shoe.

I love Alegria sandals but these cute shoes are way too wide all over. I thought I would love these but had to return. Do not recommend to women with small size feet.

I'm in desperate need of shoes with a wide toe box (for problem toes), good arch support, and padded soles, so I wanted very much to like these shoes. The print is fairly cute, and when I looked at them from the side, I thought...well, they're not so bad. But viewed straight on, these shoes look so huge and clunky on my feet that I just can't keep them. My foot is not wide, and my ankles and legs are on the thin side, so these shoes simply look clownish on me. I STILL want to like them, but I'm going to return. For someone with a less narrow foot/ankle/leg, they would probably look a lot better than they did on me.

I love Alegria shoes and zappos is a wonderful company to do business with
The Alegria Belle line are not good if you have plantar fasciitis at all.
The Alli and Dana are the perfect shoes for this condtion.
The Bells line does run large.

I am so angry to have to return these. The size smaller was sooo tight and these are like elephant shoes. Very frustrating. Going to have to try a different kind.

It's true that these shoes are very wide in the toe box and comfortable in that sense, but wow are they just unattractive. I was hoping the faux leather black would look professional, but the bright silver stitching makes it look much more childish and if nothing else, that unnecessary band around the entire shoe just adds to the visual width. In comparison, the SoftWalk lines will look a bit slimmer on an already wide toe.

I've had these shoes for almost two years and haven't worn them very much or for long periods of time when I did wear them. I took them with me on vacation and the first day of wearing them the entire day I rubbed a blister on each foot. I wish I would have worn them for a longer period of time when I first bought them but didn't. Now I cannot return them. Stupid on my part. I have several pairs of Alegria shoes and loved them in the beginning but the longer I wear them, I find them becoming more uncomfortable and the heel slips a great deal on the Debra. The reason I originally bought them is for the wide toe box which I need but I will look for another brand of shoe. I have two styles of the palomino, one Debra and one Pesca. I have one of the sandals and it did not last two seasons. The foot bed caved in. Again, the longer I wear them the less I like them.

I ordered the metal rain finish. They looked so pretty on the website, but in person very cheap. Back they go, but may try in another color. You cannot beat the comfort level of this shoe.

I usually wear a 9.5 wide, but I had read the reviews that these run small, so I ordered a 10. But when I tried them on, they were STILL too small. My feet fit length-wise, but they were definitely too narrow and too short -- my toes were clamped in the toe-box and the top of my foot bulged out like a muffin-top. Pretty shoes that make your feet look horrible -- not my taste.

I can't figure out how to edit my review, so I'm writing a new one. These did not end up working for me -- not enough arch support and not a deep enough heel cup for my moderate+ overpronation. They are super comfy on my feet, but just trying them out in the house and my tendons are irritated. Bummer.

I'm afraid I had a very different experience with these shoes; I did not find them comfortable at all. The footbed was so firm that there was no give to it; it like walking on bricks. Also, even after wearing the shoes around the house for a while trying to break them in, the top of the shoe was still so stiff that it dug into my foot. I was also unhappy with how large and shapeless the light tan color made my foot look. I'm glad everyone else had such a good experience, but I found the shoes to be uncomfortable and ugly. I have returned them.

Lovely footbeds -- really nice if you have or have had plantar fasciitis and want to keep it at bay. Love the suede top on the footbed, love the heel cup, the gentle slope of the arch. Great! Hate the stiff leather! I have the choco paisley, and after wearing it for two days, rubbed the skin right off the knuckle of my poor big toe. These shoes do not stretch, not a whisker. I tried using the liquid shoe stretch and even took the shoes to my cobbler so he could stretch the top where the knuckle rubs. Little success. The paisley tooling is beautiful, but leather is too stiff and unmoving. This does not work for feet that need to move and breathe a little as they walk through the day. There is a thick seam that pokes into the space for the foot. So my big toes have to bump up against this seam all day. Socks help a bit. The sizing is a mystery. I usually take a 38 in European shoes, but that was ginormous. Got the 37 and it seemed about right for my 7 - 7 1//2 size feet. But, after a couple of days of wearing, I began to notice that stupid seam. Maybe it is a flaw in this pair of shoes, dunno. Too bad. The footbed is a true miracle, but the sizing and stiff leather is a big drawback! And I am stuck with them, as I've worn them. Maybe I should just strap the footbeds to my feet and wear them!

I purchased the Alegria Belle in black crinkle leather. I was replacing an old pair of the very same shoes that are wearing out. The old pair, that I ordered from the company, developed a squeak in one shoe shortly after I started to wear them. I solved it by replacing the insoles with those of another pair of Alegrias I had. Problem solved. I love the shoes for work and have worn them for about two years now. But this new pair has the same squeaking problem! I tested them at home on carpeting before I wore them to work. There was no squeak, so I decided I'd keep them. I wore them to work and shortly after I arrived, one of the shoes started to squeak a bit! Then the other shoe started to squeak! As the day wore on, the squeaks got progressively worse. When I got home from work that night, the squeaking was so loud that I actually took my shoes off to walk down the hallway in my apartment building so as not to disturb my neighbors! I thought that the squeak in the original pair was just a fluke. But the fact that this new pair had the same problem leads me to believe that it can't be a coincidence. I'm very disappointed, because in every other respect I love the shoes. They're so comfortable to be in all day at work. They have a very roomy toe box. The straps are adjustable. The insoles are replaceable. They're not unattractive. But unless and until Alegria can fix the squeaking problem, I'll be looking for another brand of work shoes.

The most comfortable shoes I own, HOWEVER, with every step it sounds like I am squishing baby ducks. The most annoying internal squeaking ever, and it only gets worse with time. I have worn these about 4x a week for a few months now, and they are getting to the point that I have to think about where I'm headed before putting them on. Playground, concert - ok. Library, museum, anywhere else quiet - no way. Very disappointing.

I love the feel of Alegria shoes, but the last two pairs I have ordered were of poor quality. The stitching and dye of the leather were not done well at all. Zappos will need a quality control person to check their shoes. Sadly I have to return another pair.
