Very cute, and much more discrete than the Doc standard thick soled boot. The ankle would be a bit stiff and need breaking in, but seemed very well made.

I'm really happy with these so far. Low profile and casual, but slightly dressier than an actual sneaker. I wear between a US women's 9 and 9.5 and ordered the UK 7, which are a great fit for me and leave enough room for thicker socks in the winter. I must have low arches, because I find the moderate arch support to be pretty comfortable. As another reviewer mentioned, these are a somewhat lower-end boot and the quality is fine for the price point. The soles are thin, but the leather is good. I expect they will last 3-4 winters with proper care. Also, I will probably have to add a tab on the tongue to keep it from slipping to the side. My only complaint is that the soles are a little slippery.

I would suggest getting 1/2 size smaller than what you wear since Dr. Martens deals in whole sizes. I am a 7-1/2 and I ordered an 8. But am returning for a 7. I love the boots, they are just too large.

I've worn these boots for two seasons now, and they've held up beautifully through rainy Seattle days, slogging through farm mud, and just everyday wear and tear. They fit my wide foot well and are incredibly comfortable. They aren't heavy like Docs I've had in the past - they are nice and light, perfect for work and play. I love the dark red leather - it's soft, sturdy, and goes well with just about everything.

I never write reviews, but these boots are incredible and they deserve one! I was a little nervous because I ordered them right before a trip and I needed some good sturdy walking boots that could transition from day to night and would be comfortable yet stylish. I have wide feet due to my painful bunions, which makes it hard to find boots. The regular Docs don't work for my feet, but these sure do! They are much more light weight and flexible, which makes them instantly comfortable and easier to walk in. They required no time break in at all, and I was able to wear them all day walking around on my trip with zero pain or discomfort, even on my bunions. They are super cute with jeans, a skirt with tights or even shorts. I love them so much and am thinking about getting them in another color. I think they are a great value for under $100 and would recommend them to anyone I know.

More like a leather high-top sneaker than boot, these shoes are super comfortable, light, and really stylish. I wear a size 7 in running shoes and ordered these in a 6. They fit perfectly!

I love these boots! Like a lot of people I struggle with finding boots that don't cut painfully in behind my ankle and these, thank goodness, don't at all (the previous reviewer who described them as boots that feel like sneakers is spot on). I was also worried about the flat foot bed, which doesn't work with my plantar fasciitis, but they're large enough to take an insert with a low-to-moderate arch build-up with ease. I get compliments every time I wear them from both men and women as well as from my fellow faculty members and my students (ages 18-22). I'd buy them again, particularly if DM decided to expand the color selection further!

I love these boots. I normally wear a UK6 in the Docs' Pascal style, but the UK5 fit very well in the Leyton. The Leyton seems to have more toe room and is a much lighter weight than the Pascal and other similar Docs with a thicker sole. These Leytons are my new work and play boot.

I read reviews before purchasing and they were very helpful. I usually wear a 7.5-8 but I ordered a size 7 and they are perfect! I wore them all day to work today for the very first time and they were so comfortable. This is my first pair of Dr. Martens! They are highly recommended and this style a popular gift I hear this year for xmas!

I ordered these the week before Christmas for my daughter. Processing was quick and easy I received them in two days. She absolutely loves them. They fit great and were cheaper than buying them from a retail store. Shipping was free. I will definitely order from Zappos again!

Only complaint that I have is that the tongue slides down to the sides when I wear them. Other than that, great product. Waterproof and comfy.

I had been wanting a pair of Doc's for 20 years and these did not disappoint. I have had these for over a month now, and I love them. They are well made, soft but sturdy and they are super comfortable. I added a light arch support as I have high arches, and they are great to wear for my 14 hour days where I am on my feet all day. They are great for the rain, with a little protectant spray, and look great with leggings, jeans and skirts.

These are very comfortable, and fit to size. I ignore the rumors that say all Doc Martens run small, large, or otherwise. And thank God for Zappos and their free, fast returns - I ordered two sizes, one was perfect, the other went back. Also, I did not put anything about arch support because I am one of those natural foot people who believes our feet strengthen themselves when the shoes let them. I think these will. They are supportive without being restrictive.

These boots are comfy, cute and affordable! There's arch support. Flat as a pancake! I sized up one size and put my trusty inserts in and now, they're truly perfect!

These are super groovy! I wanted a Doc but I did not want to look too clunky or punk and these are perfect! Almost more of a sneaker, they are sleek and work awesome with skinny jeans! Lots of compliments and an extra dash of spice to my otherwise conservative "Mom in New England Gap look" ;)

These boots are great! They are my first pair of Doc Martens and I love them. Very light comfortable right out the box. I am a true 8.5, I ordered the 8 and it fits perfectly for me (I do have narrow feet). I am very pleased with this purchase!

Fits 1/2 size larger. I'm a 7.5 and the 7 fits great. Nice leather...super cute with skinny jeans. Zappos had them listed for less than actual Dr.Martens store.

I have been wearing Doc's for 30 years and love the styling of the Leyton shoe. I bought two pairs in black and oxblood. They are very comfy right out of the box. I wear a size 8 and have always found that 39 has fit me very well. I have very wide feet and I think the Leyton shoe is a bit more narrow than my Docs in the past but still comfortable. Yes, the Chinese Docs are nowhere near the quality of the London made boots but you get what you pay for and I love the styling of Doc Martens. The Leyton boots are light weight and feel like a fancy sneaker. I use an insole as I have very old feet. I work with children from kindergarten to eighth grade on a playground that is very hard on shoes and the boots are great with jeans and leggings. I feel like I am rest for the little peoples apocalypse when I wear these shoes!

I have had both my hips replaced and these shoes are so comfortable to wear. I ordered one size larger and had to ship back for my true size. I love this shoe and it's made for the wear and tear of the streets.

I never write reviews, I'm sure we all say that at some point. However, the first day I wore this shoe I walked in it for two hours. I have received so many compliments on this shoe from both and women. If you are looking for a comfortable yet fashionable boot, this is it! Thank you Zappos for the quick exchange on a smaller size! Would definitely repurchase or even gift.

Greatest investment of my life. The color is fabulous too! Only thing is that they do stretch out a little, but are great with big socks!

I love these boots! I've wanted a pair of Doc Martens for years but the big-toed, clunky ones were always just a little too young looking. I wear these all the time now with just about everything. My one piece of advice would be to order them a half-size bigger than normal if you want to wear them with bulky socks.

I love my boots! They are comfortable and very well made. And not heavy at all which is an absolute plus. I would certainly recommend them.

After trying several styles of Dr. Martens, I fell in love with this boot. I'm no spring chicken but am thoroughly enjoying the look and feel of the boot. I did have to add my orthotics for enough arch support but then my feet are pretty flat.

These are the last style of flat boot I will ever buy! I bought a pair for myself and my 15 yr old daughter and we both love them. She wears them almost every day. There is NO breaking in period at all, no blisters, no discomfort. They have the feel of an old sneaker and the look of a casual boot. Absolutely perfect! :)
