I wear a size women's size 10 (US) and got the size 8 (UK). These are great! They fit well length-wise (I can wear anywhere between 9.5-10.5). They are a little wide and loose but not enough to be a problem. I live in Chicago and love that these are impervious to snow and water, and they stay looking great. They are also very tough and sturdy. I have gotten 4 compliments on them and worn them every day since I've had them for almost 2 weeks now.

LOVE the boot! That being said I highly highly recommend ordering a size down! I normally wear a 9 but since the other reviewers suggested ordering a size down I tried my luck with an 8 and I'm glad I did! I have narrow feet so even the 8 were a little roomy.

This is my first pair of Docs. I tried on a few others in the past and was expecting them to be heavy. To my surprise these are really light! I commute and walk a lot on the daily and these are great! Also my intentions was to use them as rainboots and they are working out great. Past reviews regarding sizing are also very helpful. I sized down and the fit is perfect. I normally am a 7.5/8 but like a 8 in boots to accommodate for thick socks. I got a size 7 and these fit PERFECT.

I love the looks and the feel of these shoes but the size was way too big. I am a size 9 but this shoe seemed like two sizes too big. My feet were floating. Returning today.

I have had my shoes for about a week now and they are basically broken in (I've worn them every single day!). I would definitely recommend ordering an entire size down from what you normally wear. Great shoes that look good with everything!

These are gorgeous shoes but they really are as big as everyone says. I ordered my normal size (US 9/ UK 7) and they were hilariously big. My feet were swimming in them. I will have to return them for a smaller size.

I literally just got these but I think my search for boots is finally over. They are really sleek, but have that doc martens sturdy sole at the same time and I'm really enjoying that combo. I usually wear an 8.5-9 but I ordered these in a US 8 and they fit and I was able to wear them with very thick wool socks. The only reason I gave a 3 for comfort is that I haven't broken them in yet. The leather is quite stiff so they're not really comfortable straight away, but given a few weeks they should be. They're not as shiny as the picture makes them look, which I'm happy about. The shaft opening is very flexible, I had no issues putting them on/taking them off. I'm 5'3" so one of my main concerns buying boots is if they're going to visually cut my legs off and make me look shorter, but these hit just right on my calf. Very happy so far.

Love these boots! A little roomy, perfect for adding thick wool socks. Cute with rolled skinny jeans or skirts.

I love the look of these boots and I really waffled on sizing, regular or down? I went down and was terribly disappointed that they were way too small! I should have gotten my regular size. I ordered a 3, with my usual size a US 6½. I am hoping to try again...

I almost went crazy trying to decide what size to order. I've had them for about two weeks now and I've been wearing them around the house to break in. My hope is that they will stretch a little bit and then be formed to my foot and fit perfectly. I've read that this happens. I normally wear a size 8 in boots but I ordered a US 7 here. I love the look of the leather and I can't wait for the weather to cool down so I can wear them!!

Warning! These run big so you will want to order a size down. And of course me being the lucky girl I am, my feet are a size 5 (UK size 3) so I couldn't order a size down because that's the smallest size they carry...but with some insoles and thick socks I've managed to make it work. Make sure to wear socks that cover the ankle when breaking into these or else the back of your feet will hurt a lot. I hope these boots will last me at least three years or so. This is a great chelsea boot, goes with just about everything. The leather isn't crazy shiny too, which I like.

If you're thinking about buying these, do it. Super cute, super modern, versatile, dress up / dress down, amazing. Two things: I could be used to my Doc Marten Pascal boot but I feel that these guys are pretty stiff with very little padding. Some ouchness is involved but it's not unlike any other shoe I've had to break in. I'm normally a 7 1/2 to 8 wide foot, I heeded the warnings in the comments and ordered a size 7 US. I'm glad I did. However, if you'll be wearing these with insoles and thick socks, you might want to consider ordering a traditional Doc Martens true to size.

I adore these boots and wear them almost every day. They are stylish, and more masculine, which I prefer. They don't take as long to break in as most Doc Martens do. I don't know that I could walk all day in them, but they would be fine for short-medium distances. Definitely run big. I wear a 7 and I ordered a 6, and can wear with thick socks.

Love these. It's hard to tell in the picture, but they're way less clunky than most Docs - the cut is fitted with a more pointed (not uncomfortable) toe. Pretty classic Chelsea boot style, you wouldn't know they're Docs. Love the mix of the very shiny leather with the durable sole - they're dressy-ish but functional. Great with skinny and regular jeans. Foot bed is comfortable out of the box, but the leather is stiff and will need some breaking in, particularly across the top of the foot. I am a true 8 and the 5 fit well. Worth the cost, as they'll last forever.

I love the slimmer sole on these docs. They're the usual slip proof sole so they'd be great for work and just going out. They looked great with my business casual clothes. I'm a 6.5-7, I got the US size 6 and it fit great. However, I did return them. They felt kind of uncomfortable to me because they were a little stiff and flat. I know they take a few days to break in but I also have tendonitis/plantar fasciitis and higher arches so I did feel like waiting to break them in (I wanted boots to wear right away). I think I probably will end up buying them again in the future though.

The fit on my foot was good. Love the look of these although they are shinier than I expected. The problem is that the front flap rubs on the front part of my ankle. I wore them around on carpet for several days before deciding I couldn't "break them in" as others have suggested. Sad to have to return them. They accommodated my custom orthodic insole well.

Beautiful boot. Not as clunky as usual doc m. Unfortunately, a little narrow in the toe box. I ordered 1/2 size larger than my normal…still too confining. They have to go back. ?

all the reviews said it run big so i got an 8 but it does not. returning and getting my usual size.

I was a little concerned reading reviews about how hard these are to break in, but I didn't have too many problems. I wish they had more arch support, and although I tend to wear an 8.5 or 9, I got the 8 at the advice of others and I am glad I did. I would not wear these for walking around for an entire day, and they do tend to swallow up short socks so I am not sure what to wear them with, but overall I felt good wearing them on a rainy/icy day.

Site suggested I order a size 6. I’m normally a 6.5. I assumed they ran large. They don’t. The only width avail was M. So they are narrow / tight and pinch in the toe area. Other than that I love them.

Oh, I wanted to love these. I had black patent leather Dr Marten boots in high school (my parents talked me out of bright red, which I totally would have rocked) and wore them constantly. Twenty years later, I thought these would be perfect for work and fun. They were huge and really stiff. I'll try again, but probably in a store. I know the right docs are out there for me!
