Beautiful boot. It is almost black. So glad I found this

I'm a 9/9.5 and ordered a 9 in these thinking they'd be large enough. Not so. My toes felt a little squished. Exchanging them for a 10.

I usually wear a women's 6.5, with slightly narrow feet. Ordered these in a 6 and wore with insoles (doc marten's premium insoles, in a size 6) for months, until I finally came to terms with the fact that they were just too tight. Returned (thanks Zappos!!) for a size 7 (keeping the size 6 insoles, somehow they fit great in the shoe), they're great. Advice to break these in: get the dr marten's wonder balsam and use it on the *inside* of the shoe (most of the interior is just exposed leather), and leave overnight. Do that a couple times and it will make a world of difference—otherwise they're super painful out the box.

Love these! I got my regular size and put insoles in them to make them a little more supportive and fit a smidge better. Going down 1/2 size would have been too small. Super cute and very stylish. Love them!

I really like this boot. It has been cold and snowy, but has quickly turned spring like. I can't wait to see how they hold up next winter, but the rainy season isn't over yet. I wish they came in half sizes. The 10 is a tad big, but I know the 9 will be too small. I'm keeping them anyway and will wear them with thick socks.

Love these. Originally purchased a size down like other reviews suggested. It was so narrow through the toe box, they were painful to wear longer than 30 minutes. I decided to give my regular size a try instead—and they fit perfect. Maybe a half size big, but for a boot I rather have room for thicker socks and my toes to breathe. These are so adorable, comfy, and badass at the same time. You can’t ever go wrong with having a classic Chelsea boot in your wardrobe. And with the durability and comfort of Dr. Martens, these are a winner. My best recommendation: if you have wide or wideish feet, start with your standard size. For me, the most difference between the smaller and bigger size was in the toe box. Returns are so easy and fast through Zappos you can always size down if need be!

Super comfortable. I didn’t have to break them in. I ordered a full size down and they fit perfectly. Thinking of getting a 2nd pair so I can wear this style for decades.

my favorite footwear. wish i could wear these in the summer. they are super comfortable. you can walk all day. no breaking in period at all. stylish, cool and lots of compliments.

I LOVE THESE SHOES! As with most Docs, they took a few wears to break in but now that they are molded to my feet, they're perfect. I got a size smaller (Normally a US 7 but got a US 6). I got the burgundy color and I get so many compliments on them. They got me through the light winter we had this year in PA.

These are the perfect wear everywhere boots. They are very comfortable and can be worn with just about everything. I walked over 10 miles while sight-seeing in NYC. My feet felt fine at the end of the day. Note - These run a little large. I typically wear a 10.5 and the 10 fit perfectly. These boots also have plenty of room, so your feet won't feel squished.

I read the reviews for these boots and decided to order a full size down. They fit perfectly. They take a little while to break in at the toe box. Like some other people said, the shaft is a little stiff at first, but it didn't hurt my leg too much before breaking in. They go with everything and are very comfortable to walk in.

Beautiful boots! I don't have any other boots without a heel, and these suckers are badass in a subtle way (if subtle is compatible with the shiny finish). I wish I had sized down, but am exchanging my usual size 8 for a 7. My last pair of Docs was purchased in 1990 and these live up to my remembered youth.

Love, love, love! I hemmed and hawed about these for months and I'm so glad I finally got them. They are the sleekest Docs I've ever seen. I wear them with jeans and slim pants. They're shiny and with the low profile heel, they are dressier than my other Docs. I live in Michigan and bike/walk to work even in winter and these are perfect on snow, ice & metal bike pedals! Other reviewers have said they're stiff at first, and I agree, but they did loosen up. I also didn't find them super supportive (I have a standing desk & my feet were sore at the end of the day). I solved that with my orthoheel inserts and now they're totally comfortable. They also make me feel hip ;-)

I normally wear an 8, but I sized down to a 7 in these. They fit perfectly with medium-thickness socks.

These boots are awesome. You can wear them dressed up or down. They're comfy as well.

Perfect my daughter is a college student and wears them all over campus. Perfect for crazy college life

Beautiful, sleek and versatile shoes. I was concerned they will be a bulky like Martens shoes usually are, but they are not. They are surprisingly light. Can be worn with a suit, jeans, skirt, or tights. Definitely order one size down. I'm an 8 and ordered a 7 and they fit perfectly.

Love these... They look great with work and street clothes. I wore them to a concert and walked several blocks without even thinking about my feet. Easy on and off. They are a grown up doc!

i always read the reviews for info on fit. so i ordered 1 size down. i have a very narrow foot. the boots were way too tight length wise, the width was fine. returned for my regular size. nice looking boot. i'm giving the shoe 5 stars because it was the feedback that caused me to get a smaller shoe.

These are beautiful and cool. I went down one full size, and that worked on my narrow feet. Suggest the same or getting your size with an insole. Worth it.

These are my favorite shoes, ever, and I have lots and lots of shoes...they are super comfortable and just look cool. Can be dressed up or down. I'm planning on wearing them for years and to everywhere!
