I absolutely love these boots! They fit wonderfully. I am between 7 and 7.5 and I ordered the 7.5. There is enough room for thick wool socks, as well as skinny jeans tucked into them. So there is enough room in the calves for jeans, and yet somehow they also look really slimming in the calves too! I can't even believe it, but snow boots actually make me feel like I look hot! I live in Iowa and I wore them outside yesterday in 5 degree weather with snow on the ground, and my toes and feet felt warm and dry the entire time. The tread is great on the bottom too. If you're on the fence about these boots, buy them! I love them!

Best buy I have made in years. Practical but stylish. These are lightweight snow boots and so comfortable...feel like I could walk a couple miles in these easily. I do have skinny calves and these are the rare boots that don't look like galoshes on me.

These boots are adorable! I loved them... if I could get them on! The instep was so narrow, I could barely slip my foot into them. Once in, I thought they were very comfortable and a perfect fit. That is until I tried to zip them! I do on occasion have to buy a wide calf (mid section is often too tight), but these were REALLY narrow in the midsection and wide at the top. Oh well--returned.

I am a boot junky, but I also live in a colder climate so I need boots that perform as well as look good. These boots are both adorable and functional. Stylish enough to wear with a winter skirt, practical enough to wear in a blizzard. I usually wear an 8, sometimes though I go up to 8.5 and I did for these mostly because tight boots don't keep your feet as warm and I would like to layer socks and tights with these. Also, I have long legs and sometimes boots fall short of the knee, but these are very tall - if you are a very short person they might go too high for you. Love these boots!

A stylish and practical boot for our snowy winters. I have to be careful about my shoes due issue with plantar fasciitis. These boots fit like a glove. I did take out the footbed and install my custom orthotics; they fit great. Also, I received them the day after I placed order. Truly impressed with Zappos service!

I love these boots. They have good traction and are warm. They were comfortable as I am a teacher and on my feet all day...they were almost too warm by the end of the day. If you wear them inside, you may not want to wear wool tall socks. I am athletic 5'9 and 140lbs...calf size fit just right with tights and skinny jeans. I wear a size 10 and they fit just right. I also bought them in black after trying on a lot of boots.

Awesome winter boots that are very stylish and comfortable. I have 16" athletic calves and can still manage to tuck in my skinny jeans (with Smartwool basic knee high socks underneath). I love these boots so much that I ordered them in both colors, and got a pair in the mid height as well (love the chestnut brown color). I'm even considering the lace version too. I normally wear a 7.5M, but ordered these in an 8M so that I could wear my thicker Smartwool socks (midweight compression). They fit like a dream with plenty of toe room and no heel slippage.

These boots looked great on and I loved that they were snow boots with style, but they were so warm that I couldn't wear them inside very comfortably and that is only reason I returned these. I don't know how the waterproofing will hold up and I found that I needed a half-size larger than usual to accommodate socks and jeans. But once I only need a snow boot versus a warm dress boot I will definitely get this style! They are everything a girl could want with a boot for winter. =)

I loved these boots because they are very beautiful and functional at the same time. I don't consider myself to have big calves but these are quite snug when you zip them up - I would not be able to wear long socks with them - not even thick tights. Since I don't own either of those anyway (just regular tights and low socks) these still work for me but if you have even a little bit of a wide calf, I would seek another boot. I am hoping that the stretch out a little with use, as they are not comfortable for long periods of time right now.

I love, love, love these boots! I'm between an 8 and 8.5. The 8's were ok for me so I would say they may be considered running large.

I love these boots. At first, they were super snug. But they stretched out nicely. They keep my feet dry, and they're comfy. I get lots of compliments on them and lots of people asking what brand they are. So glad I splurged on these.

Love, love, love these boots. Definitely order a size up if you're not a fan of snugness...These certainly are and especially if you plan to tuck anything other than a skinny jean inside. Other than that these are warm and really fashionable. A great purchase

I LOVE these boots! I am a Funeral Director and part of my day involves being out in cemeteries in inclement weather. These boots are warm and still stylish enough to wear with my black suits. The are sleek enough that I can pull my suit pants right over them without any bulk. I would definitely purchase these boots again and have recommended them to other lady funeral directors I know.

Finally tried these and I love them! I bought these boots for my move to Mongolia where it is very cold and icy and they work wonderfully! Warm, comfy and the traction is amazing! Not even a little slip when the sidewalks are covered it ice!

The look of these boots is excellent. However, the way the right boot broke in has left the zipper rubbing against my ankle and has caused blisters. I would have returned the boots but had already gotten rid of the packaging. I have been rolling down my sock to create a cushion. If it weren't for this unfortunate circumstance, I would have given them 5-stars all around, as they are quite warm.

I love these boots! I have received a lot of compliments whenever I wear them! I wore them to an outdoor Packer game and stayed warm the entire game even though the weather was below zero. I wear a 8 and purchased a size 8 in these boots. They were slightly big but perfect with socks so I feel they were true to size!

I love these boots. I wanted something to keep me warm when I'm outside on cold fall/winter days but that also looked more stylish than my snow boots. These are so cute with jeans but I could even wear them with a skirt - they are that cute. And definitely warm.

I just got these in the mail today - as always, Zappos, you rock on shipping, don't know how you do it - and I love them. I am really having a hard time embracing the typical "black riding boot" look. I wear a LOT of black, and wanted something a little different yet stylish; these fit the bill. As the others have said, they are snug in the calf area, but I have pretty small calves so it's nice to find a boot that is slimming in which I am not swimming. The mixed media look is tasteful and gives some dimension to the overall black effect; the grey felt top divides an otherwise monochromatic look very well and although they have treads are are considered a "snow boot", they are definitely not bulky. I agree that they are slimming! I think they will look great with skirts and tights. I will say that I will likely put some gel inserts into these to ensure I can wear them all day, but even without they seem pretty comfortable.

I really liked these boots a bit big in the calf but I was able to live with that. They seemed very warm only wore them for a couple of minutes in the house though. I had to return them due to a stain on the front ankle part it was as if they got dripped on something.

A must have for Boston winters! I live in Boston and grew up in Maine (go home frequently) and these boots are perfect for the cold and snow! On top of that they look cute and can even be worn out for a cute causal look with skinny jeans. Highly recommend! North Face is always a staple for me in this cold new England weather!

I love these boots! They kept me warm last year in the snow and they will this year. They look great! Great quality.

Great boots! Zappos has great speedy service I really don't know how they do it. The boots just came in the mail and I tried them on with the skinny jeans I was wearing. I am 5'4 120 and I was worried about them fitting in the calf. I was able to zip them up just fine, they seem to have a lot of give in them. They do end right below my knee cap so if you are short like me they will be very "tall" but that was what I was looking for to trudge through the Wisconsin snow. I am a little worried about warmth but that will be determined once we get snow. Other than that they really don't look like snow boots at all, very stylish. I didn't really want to spend the Money for them but if they can keep me warm and be comfortable enough for everyday use in the winter then it is worth it for me.

These are a perfect example of form follows function in design. I was looking for a snow boot that was as comfortable and warm as my UGG boots, but not as schlubby. Yup. These are the boots you can wear hanging out after skiing in the Lake Tahoe Ritz Carlton. They're fashionable without trying too hard.

It's a cute boot and very warm, but definitely very skinny in the calves. I'm a slender person but I run, and even though my calves are not very bulky, the calves were too tight. I'm sad to send them back!

Love these boots, they are so comfortable and cute. I usually wear a 7.5, but size up to an 8 to wear thicker socks, but they are more of a snug fit than I anticipated!
