I wear size 7.5. Based on some of the reviews I ordered these in size 8 which is a bit large. I can wear thick socks; it should be okay. Some reviews said it was tight for their calf. I have a small calves so no problem if I wear skinny jeans with it. Overall I love the boots. It's so comfortable, lightweight and received pretty quick and one of my friends loves it and she's going to order one for herself.

My first buy in Zappos and these beauties arrived today, nice to see them in my front door after work...is a big and long box! Arrived when promised, half day earlier. And I love these boots! They look exactly like the picture and video. I read many reviews, like another reviewer I wear size 8, for boots I always buy a half size up, which gives me room for winter socks. In this case I will wear regular socks, is a little snug for and 8 and a half. They do feel warm enough. I do not wear heavy socks as much anyways, unless I am going sledding for more than 4 hours a day. I must say for a half size bigger the toe part is a little flat. I can move my toes and it feel cozy and warm without socks. I may not be able to wear them with thick socks, which is fine. I do not have fat toes or high arch. My calves are a little snug, there is room to stretch to fit a skinny jeans. I did measure my calves before I purchased this, and please base your purchase from there. The measurements in the description is for a size 9 (bear that in mind). They feel extremely comfortable to me. I work in a school, walking and standing up a lot, and tried them on, after wearing my wedges sandals all day, and they feel amazingly comfortable! I usually wear and like bright colors, but this black and grey is very nice and I love the stitching, button and design. Now is spring time where I live, I will come back and write a review after I test them on our long and cold Wisconsin winters! I hope my review helps, is long I know, but I just wanted to give as much details from my own view, after I read so many helpful ones. I hope it makes sense too!

I have been watching these boots since February and the price was a little steep for me. So finally they were down to a price I could deal with. I bought them and love them, true to size. Can't wait to wear them this winter. Fast delivery. Love Zappos.

Great boot. I also have the low cut boots. Good traction and nice looking for a winter boot. No problem with wet or snow. A nice alternative to nice leather boots in yucky weather.

Love these boots. I am a huge fan of North Face products in general, and these did not disappoint. They were perfect for my recent trip to Denmark, and I was able to fashionably enjoy the snow and cold. I am so glad I found these. On another note...I have heard great things about Zappos for a while, and this was my first order. I was majorly impressed with the service, return policy, and entire experience. Thank you Zappos. It made parting with my hard earned money worth it.

These are the PERFECT winter boot! I typically wear dresses and skirts to work and these did not dress down my look at all. And they were so warm and waterproof as indicated in the description. I do agree with the other reviewers about the shaft of the boot being too tight but they have an elastic insert which adds some give. Once I forced the zipper up-they loosened with the first wear. I wish I could wear them all year 'round-they are the comfiest boot I've ever owned and look amazing with everything!

Great boot! So comfortable and warm didn't want to take it off at the end of the day! Fits a bit stiff and tight at first but by the middle of the day it softened up. Received many compliments! Highly recommended boot!

Ahhh, these are great. Comfortable, they fit perfectly, they are warm and waterproof. This is my first pair of North Face boots after trying in vain to force Keens to be what they once were. I am very happy to have given these boots a try.

I love these boots. I'm in Korea this winter and it's been an average of about 10 degrees so far; my job involves walking outside a decent amount but also dressing nice. I'm able to wear these under my nice black dress pants for a dressy look and over jeans for a more casual look. They're very warm and comfortable.

These are awesome, super warm (I live in CO) and fit TTS. I have narrow feet and small calf muscles, and they great with somewhat skinny jeans. The color is good and goes with anything!

LOVE THIS BOOT! I was initially shopping for my mom for Christmas so I purchased these. She loved them and so did I so I purchased the beige ones. I get tons of compliments and they are functional and stylish. Still waiting for a big Chicago snow to put them to the snow test.

I love these boots! They are stylish and comfortable. They work better with a more fitted jean or leggings. They are not as warm as I thought they would be however a thicker sock does the job. I am a size 7 wide foot and ordered a 7 & 7.5 to try. The 7 was a little snug but the 7.5 had way too much room. I ended up with a 7 and they fit perfect now.

I bought these for a trip to freezing cold and rainy Bellingham, WA, and they were great! I wore them with thick wool socks (so I bought a size 8 instead of my usual 7 1/2) and my feet stayed nice and warm and dry. I bought these boots during a mad buy and return spate of boot-trying...thank you, Zappos, for helping me out!

Really comfortable and the first pair I have tried that doesn't have the heel slip. Pretty tight zipper and calf area, but that will help keep the snow out. They are really cute too. Now we just need snow to try out the waterproof part.

Very cute boots! Look great with skinny jeans and skirts. Love the mixed fabric and colors instead of just a solid boot.

Sadly, I could not zip these boots up over my 14 inch calves. The description says the shaft circumference is 16 inches, but maybe not so for size 6.5. Otherwise, I would have loved them.

I love them. These are gorgeous boots. I am an 8½ and did not have the problem with tightness around the calf area. I measured my calf and it is a 15" circumference and these fit just fine with skinny jeans. Snug, but fine. Where I did have a problem was the area of the boot that covers the top of my foot. That was pretty darn tight. After a couple hours it was rather uncomfortable. I am hoping they will stretch out with use over time. If I was to order them again I might go up to a 9 to help with the general tightnes around the foot area. However, I was headed to the snow and decided to risk it so I kept the 8½ because they really are lovely looking boots and I thought they were functional too. They provide good traction and a decent warmth-level with the right socks (need thinner socks though since they are so tight around the foot). I have received lots of compliments. These are hot cold-weather boot!

I love these so much, but I would not wear them in the snow. They do not keep the cold out at all. But I would wear them in rain/slush. They are adorable, and they fit nicely over my jumbo calves. I get a million compliments when I wear them. I questioned how often I would wear them, but I have worn them many times this year.

I ordered these boots just over a week ago and received promptly. My usual size 10 fit perfectly with a mid weight sock. I was very pleased with the height of the shaft (about 3 inches below knee) as well as the fit around my average sized calves. The tread was amazing and the boots were still stylish at the same time. I had searched for a long time to find a pair of boots that fit both the warmth/solid tread category as well as the stylish-enough-to-leave-on-at-work category. This boots fit the bill perfectly. I wore them for an entire weekend walking around Chicago (in dry conditions) and they were fairly comfortable, although lacked a bit of arch support. Upon returning home I wore them to work and - SURPRISE - the sole separated by about 3 inches on the front of the left boot! I noticed it by tripping over it - lovely - and I wasn't in a very good mood about my expensive boots falling apart after a week. It appears as though the glue to attach the tread to the boot just completely let loose. I contacted Zappos customer service immediately and the gentleman I spoke with was extremely helpful. He assured me that it was a quality issue, that they would indeed accept the return and he even went above and he even sent me a coupon code for a future purchase. Still disappointed to have had to return these awesome boots but, at this cost, I couldn't risk getting another pair that would maybe fall apart. Thankfully, due to Zappos great customer service, I feel better about what happened and that they stood behind a product.

Huge bummer. I LOVE the boot. Warm, different, great sole. BUT the shaft at the calf is about 0.5" too small. I don't have giant calves and I went and tried on my other boots to see if it was just me. Nope, I can get then zipped, but requires a bit too much tugging to get over the largest part of my calf. Boo. Do agree to order one half size up as other people normal size was touching edge of toe.

I was looking for a stylish pair of waterproof boots as I live in NYC and do a lot of walking year round. I finally got a chance to wear these today for our first big snow fall. Slushy puddles everywhere but I walked right through as I had my new waterproof boots. Well, I found out the hard way, or better put, the cold way that they are certainly not waterproof. Water came right in through the zipper. Hopefully Zappos will reimburse me for them as they are listed as waterproof. They look great, but did not even stand up to one day of snow. Pitty.
