Turns out to be a whole size too large rather than true to size as described. Also, first shipment of this boot arrived looking like they had been worn - creases and scuffs and dirty soles - and the packaging was rumpled and shoved in the box. Not what we expected at all for this price point. My purchase charge went thru immediately but my refund took an entire month. Hoping that third time's a charm; about to order a half size down (again).

I've purchased 3 pairs of these shoes in the past and loved them. The pair that I just received were slightly different: color was lighter, leather was a bit stiffer, trim leather was also lighter. I'm the kind of person that hates shopping. When I find something I like, I purchase a few of them, or over and over, so I'm disappointed when there's any change. I noticed that these shoes are made in a different country than my last pairs, so, I guess, different sub-contractor for Timberland means slightly different end product. That all said, I'll purchase another pair because I know I'll get the use out of them. They're comfortable and their looks are acceptable.

Looking at on-line pictures I was expecting these boots to have a "worn" kind of a look to them, but the finish is a very clean one, and not much different than any other brand new boots out there. The quality and craftsman ship looks top notch. Its a nice boot but not what I expected.

The Horween leather is great- nice subtle tones and molds to the foot well. These ran long and I went down a size. Shoe style is spot on (IMO). That being said, $300 MSRP for a shoe that is glued together is madness. Timberland's profit margin on this chukka must be huge. The glue on my Wodehouse chukka continually fails in different areas. I contacted Timberland and oops- warranty is 1 yr only and they won't touch their own products after 1 yr. Shame, and short-sighted: that business model cannibalizes existing brand capital. I'll continue to re-glue these chukkas and keep wearing them, but won't get duped again.

This Chukka boot is now very low quality! This exact boot used to be excellent (4 years ago). I returned these to find the sales person also said they are now terrible. Totally lost all quality - Bad move Timberland.

When I first got them they were amazing then after about 2-3 weeks of having them they became super loose, also really slippery if the ground is wet. The leather does not hold its shape it gets really strange creases by the toe. I ever put wooden shoe horns to keep its shape. Nothing works I wish I wouldn't have spent as much as I did on them.

The shoe is very stylish and comfortable but they are not durable. I wore these shoes exclusively at my office job and the sole of the shoe started coming off after only a week. I was very disappointed and expect more out of the Timberland name, especially at this price. I have a pair of their boots and love them, I was hoping I would feel the same about these.

This is a good looking boot, that I was really enjoying, until they started falling apart. I purchased them in August 2017 and wore them approximately 3 times per month and in February 2018 the heel of the sole detached from the shoe. The shoe's construction is not commensurate with the price. The sole is glued to the bottom of the shoe with no reinforcement. Purchase for looks and walk on your tip toes.

You've sent me the wrong size (I order 12M, you send me 10M) two times in a row so how in the heck would I know how they fit?
I'd also recommend:
none.

I waited for a few months for cyber Monday to order this great boots because I love them. And I ordered it online, paid in full and waited like a kid awaits gifts for Christmas. And then when I opened the box, both shoes were like they are 3rd class when it comes to quality. The right one had white marks probably from sitting in the window exposed to sun rays. The left one has a long wrinkle on the left side of the front. So, I was very, very disappointed. And then when I called the customer service and asked if I could possibly exchange my pair for the one that is in perfect condition, the girl working there told me that they don't do exchanges. Then I went online and tried to order another pair, and the website stated that there's one more left, but when I checked out it informed me that the boots are unavailable. And then the customer service person told me that they run out of this item in my size. And when I asked can I get another pair at the full price so that I can return the one that is damaged, she told me that she doesn't know when this item will be available again. Well done Timberland. Well done! This is most likely the last thing I ever bought from you. And I was kind of a brand ambassador. Such a shame...

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!! These were my favorite shoes as I had worn them for 2 years almost everyday to work. They look great and fit great, but as soon as the laces break they are useless. Replacement laces are unavailable with no restock of them insight.

Great looking and comfortable chukka. But terrible quality for the price. Sole started falling apart after 2 months of wear, and leather stitching came undone in the back. Had to glue the sole, and tried to oil the leather but the overall quality is poor. Have competitor shoes in the same price range that are several years old and still look near new. Would definitely NOT buy these again.

For this price, I expect durability. Multiple splits from shoe to sole. I have a full two inch gap now in the leather where it's opened up. Soles completely gone.
