I would expect a Large to fit more like a 10-12 women's size and it fit more like an 8-10 size. I would have liked to have had the option to do an exchange but none was offered on the return form. Quality product if you can get the correct size.

My last Columbia fleece finally had the zipper break after six years of repeated washing and wearing, so I came here shopping for a new one. I bought the same size as my old fleece, but the new one fits much bigger than the old one. I feel like I'm swimming in it. The wrists are also looser, which means if I have it on while my hands are in water, the ends of the sleeves get wet because they won't stay up. The color is also not how it appeared on the website. Mirage looks like a light gray with a tinge of blue on the website. In real life it is sky blue...definitely not a color I would have picked for myself. But it is warm and comfortable, which is the main point of a fleece jacket after all.

I ordered the jacket expecting it to be identical to a Columbia jacket in a different color that I wear all the time. The sleeves on the new jacket were way too long.

There is such a difference in the fabric from my last order. Disappointing!

At 5'1" and 105 lbs, I wear size XS for tops, but Benton Springs Full Zip size 2 is rather large for me. Size XXS would fit me better, but it was not shown as available in any colour. The colour I ordered (Columbia Navy) is also not as dark as shown on the palette. I will not wear it to restaurants and such, but it'll do for at home and on our daily walk.

I can only comment on the fit, quality, and function from looks. I bought this jacket for a friend. My friend is a size small but it was out of stock, I read in the other reviews that the jacket ran small so I ordered it for her anyways and it does look a bit smaller than medium so it fits her a little large. Also the material looks thinner in person. And it would help a lot if Columbia actually put the colors like "white" instead of "sea salt" in the choices because really I'm not too fashion savvy but I do know that if you look at a regular color wheel it will NOT say sea salt! This made buying a WHITE Columbia jacket almost infuriating! If it wasn't that my friend could overlook the size difference then I would have definitely put 1 star, but she loved the jacket. But I hate buying from Columbia and while I recommend the jacket, I would rather you buy it at a store then online.

This is a nice enough fleece, though not quite as thick & warm as I'd hoped. The color, size & fit are all as advertised and it's very nicely made. Unfortunately it emits a static crackle every time it's taken off, which can be rather annoying; it would be easy to blame that on the dry atmosphere in this part of California, except that none of the other various fleeces in the house has the same problem. It's a minor quibble though, and I'm otherwise happy with my purchase.

I have the same model fleece in another color, size medium and it fits fine. When this order came, I could barely zip it up. Sent it back, ordered a large. It is fine.

This jacket runs very small. Was ordered for a gift as an XL. Very smal for XL. Will not fit.

I am only 102 pounds so I am not a large person. I ordered the small in the full zip jacket, but it is way too small. I would not be able to wear a sweater under it. However, I will have to find someone else who is smaller than me to wear it, as it cost almost $10 to return it. I will not be ordering online again, as the cost of return shipping is way too much.

I expected this product to be a little heavier weight than it actually is. The garment fits but if I wanted to wear a sweater underneath for added warmth it will be too tight.

Have another Columbia Jacket similar to this and material seems thicker. Is a good jacket for light cold but feel the wind will go right through this jacket.

I placed my order online and in a mater of a few days I received it. It was everything described and more. I highly recommend this product. Not too heavy but thick enough to keep you warm, very comfortable. Looks and feels great on.

I liked the jacket but i found the arm area a little tight. I can recommend the jacket with reservation. if you have arms with muscle the jacket will fit tightly in that area.

I'm 5'3 and I have a really petite body. This jacket was overall VERY large, even with the xsmall. I do recommend this product because it was soft and kept me warm, but sadly I had to return it because of the size. The quality of the jacket was overall great and worth the price other than buying a north face jacket.

I expected a warmer, more wind resistant jacket. I was disappointed that I could see light through the fabric when I held it in the direction of a light source--wasn't as tightly woven as I expected. It's fine for 30 - 40 degree temperatures but it is too warm for upper-50s/60s.

I have had other fleeces from Colombia in the past, same style, you can tell the quality is not as good as before. It is more lightweight. The older ones had more warmth and more thickness.

The jacket is very warm and I really liked the fit. I was just really disappointed in the color. I ordered gray and the color almost looked green.

size runs a little small. order next size up.

The jacket fits well and is warm. I ordered on-line and was disappointed in the color, what I thought was a "true red" turned out to be an orange-red it was not what I expected. Please be more clear with your colors, its important when trying to co-ordinate other items you may have. Thank you

The fit, color and style of this product is just fine. I ultimately returned it as it is not compatible with my interchange parka (but nothing is, a big disappointment.)

The purple is more of a plum color. the fit is a little smaller than my other columbia jackets. I recommend sizing up.

I liked the jacket but I needed for it to look black, not a faded black. Disappointed. It wasn't what I expected. It needed to be a true black to go with the uniform it's worn with. Otherwise I liked the jacket.

i ordered the color charcoal expecting it to be a soft grey like the picture, but i recieved a darker shade of grey... close to black. i'm not too picky so i'm fine with the color. the material is alright...good for spring, not for fall or winter unless you're indoors.

Okay so i bought a Medium Benton Springs Full Zip , the updated one. I love columbia sweatshirts but the fleece fabric ones run so big, i could have gotten a small had i known it would fit like a large. I dont know, but that was a little irritating.
