Overall these are good, but I'm very disappointed in Clarks' quality control. I ordered a pair (11AA) and liked them. They fit well, width was good, length good, roomy toe box, etc. But the loop on the back heel, which I dislike anyway, was twisted on one foot. So I ordered another pair. The 2nd pair had straight loops but they fit differently. They were too wide and had a funky toe rim on one (can't really describe it but it looked odd). Yes, I'm picky, but there's no excuse for the sloppy workmanship and difference in fit (and yes I double checked the size). This isn't the first time this has happened. I have often ordered a 2nd pair for some reason and found them to fit differently. I'm keeping the first pair with the twisted loop which I may try to cut off.

Had to order these in a wide because the regular was just too snug, but they fit great in the wide. First thing I do when I get a new pair of Wave Treks is I remove the ortholite liner, rip out the heel lifts, then put the liner back. If you wear high heels almost exclusively except for exercise, then you might need the heel lifts if your calves are tight. With the lifts in, the heel-to-toe drop is quite substantial so I remove the lifts. Even then it still feels like a solid 12mm drop, but this shoe makes walking so easy that I can live with that. I can attest that these are at the very least quite water resistant if not waterproof.

Very well cushioned, tho arch support could be better. I still need to use my custom orthotic. Love that it's waterproof.

I order a new pair of these every year excuse I wear them everyday. I am a 6 1/2 shoe size and ordered a size 6. They seem tight at first but as I wear them they are perfect. Because of the rightness at fist, one year I tried the size 7. Felt great at first but after a month or so, they were too big. Keep this in mind when ordering. Of course, I order from Zappos because the customer service is awesome. I sent something back one time and had the exchanged pair the next day.

There are not many options when looking for a size 11 narrow. This is a good shoe, still a bit too wide for me, but the laces are close to the toe and snug up pretty good without lots of extra room. It took me a little while to get use to the higher heel, but it does help when walking longer distances. Wish there was a little padding around the top of the tongue. The heel could be a bit smaller, but overall this is a good shoe. Good on trails and pavement. Footbed felt weird at first, but now it is great. Much different feel from a running shoe, sturdier and harder bottom. Great for walking. If you have big, narrow feet, this is a great option.

These are comfortable, serviceable hiking/walking shoes. Due to my need for more arch support than most, I have to replace the insert with another arch support. These shoes ran bigger than my feet, why can't manufactures keep some consistency in sizing. This isn't just Clark's but all of them. That being said, I am a big fan of Clark's. Only complaint about these is they squeak.

Clark makes the best shoes. I have five pairs. I was thrilled with these shoes. I ordered them in brown. They have everything that I wanted. They are very attractive and well designed. I wanted the shoes to work very much. I wore them in the house off and on. I found the toe bed tight. I even ordered them in wide to try. 10M was too narrow and wide too wide. With great regret, I returned the shoes.

I really like these shoes. Fit my narrow feet well, even at the heel. Comfortable enough to spend all day wearing them. I liked them so much I bought a second pair when the sole wore through to the point where my ankle was out of alignment. Then that pair wore through. In both cases the uppers were in perfect shape after a year but the soles were shot. I have a pair of Cobb Hill "Fresh Excel" that I'm wearing around the house to check for comfort. If they're OK I'm going to give them a try and see if they last longer.

I am in my forties and this shoe seems a little older than my age. The heel is raised about an 1" in the inside so the foot bed was too shallow for an orthotic. It was okay, but probably better for someone with good arches rather than flat footed.

The tread did not seem substantial enough for where I would utilize them, e.g., dry dirt and lots of rock/loose rock and dirt. The black pair fit well, more toe room and the grey were stiffer and more narrow. Odd. Returned them both.

I think I'm going to love these shoes for our trip to Europe this fall. I've only worn them in the house for a few days to make sure the heel doesn't slip. But so far for a waterproof shoe I think they look stylish. I love the red color even though it's a burnt red? I read the other reviews so knew it was this color. It's perfect! My husband thought they were great compared to the granny shoes I was going to get!

Good color. The heel was more raised than I expected. Even though I have a very narrow foot, especially in the heel, the toe box was too tight and my toe pushed against the end of the shoe.

Nice looking shoe that fits my narrow foot well and has good arch support. I decided not to keep it because it didn't seem to offer enough support around the heel and ankle--maybe too low there?

An attractive shoe, but it runs narrow when I wear medium-weight socks. I ordered a 7.5 Medium, which was roomy in the toe, but the shoe feels too tight. I am going to try the 7.5 Wide. The shoe feels somewhat stiff, and it didn't feel as if it offered much arch support. But I will try the Wide and insert my green SuperFeet for more support.

I have an extremely difficult time finding shoes that fit because I'm a medium-to-narrow across the ball of my foot and then taper back to a very narrow heel. The Clark Wave fits surprisingly well -- one of the first shoes in ages that I didn't have to return! That said, I am still going to need to affix a pad under the tongue of the shoes to keep my heel securely back in the heel cup. I do think that for a narrow that this shoe isn't quite narrow enough, but because it's a walking and/or hiking shoe, I would be wearing it with thicker socks, which will help.

I bought these at a Clark's store. They are very comfortable and I love that they look reasonably dressy. The downside is that the heel wore down a lot on one side after a year or so. So they didn't last as long as I hoped.

I got these shoes to wear around on weekends...something that didn't look like my running shoes that could work with jeans. They are comfortable and do the trick!

This shoe runs a half size short and narrow. Even the wide is more like a medium. The color is an orange red rather than a blue red and is also more muted than indicated in the picture.

This shoe has a thick sole and additional heel cushion, which I think would provide comfort endurance, however, my heel felt like it sat too high in the shoe and had some slippage so I had to return. The fit was roomy, but secure. I thought the shoe was good quality, attractive, versatile and weather-resistant.

I previously wrote a review about not liking these shoes as they hurt my ankle bone but need to retract. I decided to unlace the top eye of the shoe and what a world of difference. These are now my favorite go to shoes for this winter. My orthotics fit in them beautifully and I love the fact that they are waterproof. I am considering purchasing a 2nd pair in a different color.

Nice looking shoe, good quality leathers, very sturdy and supportive sole. I bought wide, but the shoe is not wide by any measure. Too narrow for my forefoot, too wide for my heels. Sending it back.

These are a nice supportive shoe but I found it was a stiffer sole than I was use you. They are nice for walking but for day to day use I prefer something more flexible. I will use these for long walks and hiking.

I purchased these in the pale blue and it is a grey blue color which I like. The length of the shoe, the width and the arch support are fine and I walk the dogs in them frequently in the winter. The only thing is that I have very high arches, and while they give great support from underneath on the insole, there is not enough cut in the material to allow for the top of the foot to fit properly. Even though I can adjust the laces to keep my toes from going numb from the upper pressure, this causes the heel to be looser and the shoe now sort of flops. I have tried several pair of Clarks and this seems to be consistent in their design, so if you, like me have very high 'ballerina' type arches, you might want to think twice or be prepared for a lot of back and forth shipping.

Wonderful shoes. Well made. Solid. A little clunky looking when I pulled them out but not bad once on. They were just a little too roomy - even with thick socks. I would need a 10.5 but not a whole for sure (half sizes stop at 9.5). Great shoe just not for me.

Great footbed and style actually quite nice for podiatry-friendly shoes. Heel cup too shallow, though. Heel would not stay in and rubbed up and down. Tried two sizes even. I could have possibly used moleskin to break them in, but I don't think it would ever feel like the shoe was staying on my foot. And, I think the rubbing would have continued. I probably would have kept them if not for this issue.
