These shoes are very comfortable but the hook and loop aka velcro is not large enough when you are applying them. The tongue of the shoe is larger than a regular tie-on shoe, but the straps are not longer and sometimes the shoe feels looser than it should. I wear a size 11, 4E and you would think they would adjust the product for a wider foot? Still, I purchased them prior to having hip surgery and now that I am recovering from my surgery, it's time for another pair. And they do fit well.

This is my 5th pair of this walking shoe. Although I had to wait a while to obtain the men's size 12-1/2 it has been worth the wait. This was my first online purchase with New Balance and it went very smoothly.

this is a good shoe at a decent price. They didn't have a wider size and so i stupidly ordered the regular size and it fits too tight on my wider foot. I needed to opt for the 2E. A good lesson i suppose when ordering online is if they don't have a wider size don't order it lol.

Needed some good walking shoes, these are great. Felt a bit tight at first but after breaking them in, they're perfectly snug. Comfortable enough I sometimes forget I have them on.

I purchased these walking shoes for my 96 year old father. I had originally purchased another pair which didn't fit. I called and a very pleasant and helpful young lady helped me to return the shoes without any hassles and to reorder the proper ones. My dad loves his New Balance walking shoes.

The N.B. 577s are great shoes for me. Wore the new ones to a luncheon the day after they arrived and they fit great. I have CMT & need an extra wide, comfortable shoe that handles braces. I also need shoes with hook & loop fasteners so they are very easy to get on & off. I used to get the N.B. 575s, but they are no longer available.

Needed a good quality walking shoes as I am suffering from heels pain.
The shoes arrived within 5 days of placing my order through regular delivery. The fit was was good.
I liked the laceless shoes with adjustable straps. Can slip on and off easily.

I have bought several pairs of these walking shoes for my husband. He has an extra wide foot, and the New Balance last fits him well. We live out in the country, and he wears them to walk in the woods and to work in his woodworking shop where he stands on a cement floor. These shoes have held up well, and we appreciate L. L. Bean carrying the extra wides!
