I will were my new shoes every day. This brand and model shoe has been my main shoe for decades. As I have grown older the size has changed from 7 1/2 to 8, but I still wear the quadruple E width. I would recommend New Balance shoes to friends and family memberts.

First, I've worn New Balance shoes for a long time, and I always bought size 12 extra wide. Sometimes it was a perfect fit, sometimes too short. So on a whim I went to the New Balance web side to order -- and you had size 12.5 extra wide, exactly what I needed. I had never seen 12.5 in any of the stores in this area. I tried a 13 once -- not a good fit at all. These are the correct size, they're very comfortable and they provide great support. I'll be shopping online from New Balance from now on.

I use the shoe for an alternate walking shoe (daily). They give me the comfort and support I was looking for.

Read the model number on the tongue and order a new pair over the internet.

I was replacing my husband's old pair, which were becoming worn out after four years of continuous use. The new ones, of course, fit perfectly because nothing has changed, thank goodness. I'm sure he'll get another four years out of these, at least.

These shoes are used in conjunction with custom orthotics - Dynamic Ankle Foot Orthoses - to assist my son in walking comfortably and normally. Because of fine motor challenges, the velcro closures make it convenient and easy for my son to put on his own orthotics and shoes. The shoes are sturdy and provide good support in a variety of conditions. Note: The normal footbed is removed to allow room in the shoe for the DAFO which completely wraps the foot and extends up the ankle.

I walk 3-5 miles, 5 days a week. I have extra wide feet so I really depend on the New Balance extra wide feature.

Having just ordered my 7th or 8th (I've lost count) Men' 577 Hook & Loop Walking Shoes says it all. I am a senior senior who wears them multiple times a day walking my dog. Would not consider wearing anything else.

Walking: support and easy 2 put on/off with Velcro strap.

the shoe wears well. Great because Husband will only wear American Made.

I still have an old pair with the soles almost worn thru that I were working in the yard. I like the ease of putting them on but more important with the hook and loop straps you can get just the right tightness. They are extremely confortable for walking. When its too cold to bike but there's no snow I walk miles and miles in these shoes.

Was recently shocked to have a measure of difficulty in purchasing a new pair. Live in Brookline, MA a stone throw from NB and the "Factory Outlet" they called a few NB stores to locate a pair for me and I was greatly pleased when they arrived by US Mail in a few days.

I originally bought these shoes when I had permanent damage to my right and dominant wrist as tying laces was nearly impossible.but I got spoiled and love to be able to quickly take them off and on as I enter and leave my light colored carpeted house. At that time I bought this shoe style from a local dept store in both white and black several years ago. I wore the black ones for so long that I had the toes stitched up as I wore them out and even then I still wore them for gardening and around my garage. I couldn't part with them. A year ago I started to break in the white pair and they still look like new.. They clean up very easily with any household cleaner so I don't have to be careful when I wear them. I honestly don't know what I would do if they are discontinued as I still can not easily tie shoe laces.

I have orthotic insoles and have been wearing New Balance 577 for a long time.

These are great for walking and didn't need to be broken in.

I wear them every day! they required no break in so soft even without socks

Casual wear and walking. I wear them just about everywhere.

I walk about 7 miles per day, so I want to be sure that I have a great shoe. So far these shoes have been very comfortable.

The only casual/informal/walking shoes that I have found in a narrow size, that have a firm supportive foundation that forces me to not roll my foot to the side and pronate it properly and straightly.
