Great cold weather boots! Stylish and functional. I added an insole so my foot didn't move around and it gave great stability so the seems didn't rub.

I bought these in November and Boston finally got a huge snow storm so I was able to try them out. After wearing them for 2 days, I am sending them back. The tread on the toe part is nice and deep, like a hiking boot. But the tread on the heel is non-existent! Why would they do that? Every time I stepped on a patch of ice I slipped! And I was the only one of my friends who was struggling. They're a hazard in slippery conditions...so sending them back. The good - these boots look cool with skinny jeans and are very comfortable. They also kept my feet warm and dry, but safety is more important than comfort in these conditions.

I am a true size 6, but ordered a 6 and a 6.5. At first the 6 seemed too small, because my big toe was touching the end. But after trying on the 6.5, I realized that my toes still touched the end, but that the boot as a whole was way too wide and therefore, uncomfortable. Many say that these boots run small, but I think they run true to size. I only wear one pair of normal-thick socks since I am in Texas. These boots are beyond adorable and I receive so many compliments on them. I wear them all day and never have blisters or sore feet. They're just perfect! One of my best purchases.

I did not even get to wear these out of the house as one of the metal lace holders came out of the boot as soon as I started tightening the laces. While they are good looking boots, they are not going to be meant for deep snow/warmth. I was a little surprised at how thin the rubber was around the feet, with little to no insulation. They are better for rainy wintery weather. Other reviews mentioned the leather straps coming off as well and based on my experience with the quality not being top notch, these went back. For the price, I am not willing to risk more issues with things falling apart. I still think stylish winter boots is not an oxymoron. I the got North Face Shellista Lace boots in black instead.

These boots are really cute and I loved the color. You can't imagine how disappointed I was to have to return them. The boot is very stiff, which I'm sure would get broken in as they're worn. That wasn't my problem. As soon as I tried them on, the seam between the shoe base and the boot shaft instantly rubbed on my heel and ankle. That shouldn't happen, especially not for that price. I'm really hesitant to try out any of Sorel's similar styles because the construction of the boots looks the same. So disappointed.

Very cool boot, love the look. Ran small, I would order one full size larger. Laces create a little more work but worth it!

These were my first pair of Sorel footwear. They will be my last. I bought them in 2013. After a few hours of of sidewalk wear (light snow coverage), I discovered that the strap that wraps under the arch had come loose and I'd been walking on it. Thinking a snap had come undone, I looked at the understrap hardware and discovered it missing altogether. Somehow, despite being complete nonfunctional and under no strain, the brass fasteners had fallen off. I didn't hear back from Sorel bad customer service for a brand-new pair of boots at this price and wore the Carly a couple more times that winter, jerry-rigged strap and all. Like other reviewers, I also lost the cheap wood grain wrapper on the heel despite not going anywhere near a trail. Snow boots that don't stand up to moisture is a hell of a thing. Then this year, I was showing my significant other the unbroken strap so we could try to find replacement hardware. I slide a finger under the overlap to get a closer look at the hardware and you guessed it, it pulls right out of the leather too. The thing looks like it's just too small for the hole, and also doesn't attach too well to its "parent" hardware on the overstrap. At this point, I've basically started treating these expensive, barely-worn boots like flea market finds, using short bolts and acorn nuts on the straps and looking at DIY options for the peeled heels.

I get so many compliments on these boots! They are really pretty, and now that they are broken in they are also very comfortable. They've made it through the rainy season at home and a week in the snow at Tahoe. This is a great boot.

I bought these to wear to the Army-Navy game a couple weeks ago. It was a cold day in Baltimore (not freezing but cold). The boots were warm, stylish, and comfortable for walking around and standing. For the price, I was disappointed that the rubber shell of the shoe peels. They looked worn after one day of wear. I own a pair of the Joan of Artic Wedges; they are just as expensive but the quality and make of the shoes surpass the quality of these boots. Though I love the look, I am still disappointed that the quality is not better for what I paid. Zappos' shipping and ease of ordering still remains five stars, I cannot say the same about these boots (unfortunately).

Do you hate that wearing in period of time where your boots are eating the back of your ankles? So do I! I think these boots deserve 5 stars all around just for NOT tearing up my feet right off the bat. Not only are these boot comfortable they are very cute. They are grippy when you need grip and not overwhelming when you just want to wear them in the rain. I haven't worn them in the snow yet but I look forward to it. Some others have complained about them not being warm enough but they weren't given warm insulation for a reason. I like that my feet aren't a sweaty mess on warmer days. No doubt you will be frustrated with getting your feet in the boots. It takes time to wear them in just right. You will battle with them. Do not let this discourage you though. Over time it's been easier to get my feet in and out of these boots. I suggest wearing smooth socks. I'm a bit worried about the laces as they seem to be wearing down quickly. Some people have said the laces haven broken for them, so I guess we'll see. Last suggestion, buy a half size larger to give room for thicker socks. Overall, I love these boots and I think they are well worth the cost.

Great boots! Very stylish-bought them for my wife and she absolutely loves them! Run just a little small, so buy next size up and you will love them! Shipping was prompt, as always with Zappos!

These are not true to size. They are very fashionable. I thought they would be perfect for the pacific northwest rainy weather.

The most bad-assed rain boots ever. They are a gift so I don't know how they will wear. I did try them on and they are very comfortable.

Do you want to have dry feet? Do you care about style while having dry feet? If you answered yes to either of these, these boots are worth it. They are a bit stiff and the lining isn't plush but these boots are gonna keep your feet dry. Even the laces are waxed for waterproof. I've biked through huge puddles and my feet and calves stayed totally dry. As for style, I've worn them a few times and been complimented by other women twice! The only downside is that since they don't have a zipper (duh) and because they are a little stiff, they can take a few minutes to lace in and out of - but it's worth the effort, believe me. Also: if you have skinny ankles like me, these boots are pretty shapely so that's an extra plus. As for sizing, I typically wear an 8 and these boots fit perfectly, but my feet are bit narrow and as I mentioned, I have skinny ankles.

I am very happy with these. I wear them almost every day. Very comfortable and warm. They have been great around Nashville and I will be testing them out in upstate NY for the holidays. I don't see there being any issues with cold feet for my visit home. It takes me a minute to get them on and off because of all the laces, but it is worth it.

I've been dying for it to snow so I can wear them more. I spend a lot of time outside in extreme weather and I was worried about some of the reviews but I stayed warm on my 2 days of snow I've been in w them. I do wear heavy wool socks though. These boots are sleek and cool. I love them.

This is my 2nd pair of Conquest Carly's. I wore the first pair to death and had no hesitation ordering this style again. They still run small by at least a half size and if you had to go up a full size, you'd still be OK with a thicker sock since the shoe part of the part fits snug all around. They also made a much needed improvement on these boots since the first year they came out. They heel used to be a wood veneer, which would quickly start to peel off in wet weather. Now the heel is a durable hard rubber. These are really stylish boots for everyday and get many compliments! Be aware that the "shoe" part of the camo colored boot is not black like it appears in the picture. It is brown, like the surrounding leather.

I absolutely love these boots. I spent a lot of time reading the reviews and sizing. Went with my standard 8 and they are too small, my toes is hitting the end with only a very thin sock on. Will re-order a half size up.

I was looking for a warm and comfortable utility boot. Unfortunately, due to my high instep and narrow design of the boot, I am unable to get them on. From the picture and description it is hard to see if the laces are operable, they are not. I ordered another model already. Thank you for your great service.

Love these boots! The Only drawback is the laces are leather and do wear as you lace the boots up with each wear (which is why I gave 4 and not 5 stars). That said I love them and get many compliments on them but if you need quick on and off these aren't your best bet.

Lovely to look at. But I have a high instep and it's really difficult to get these on. And once on they are very tight across the top of my foot. Otherwise they seem quite comfortable. Beautiful, sorry they didn't work for me.

I almost didn't get this boots because of the mixed reviews that people wrote. I must say that this boots is very cute, warm and it did more that it's written. It is waterproof and insulated on the inside. But if you want extra warmth especially in the chicago harsh winter, you should layer it with some wool socks/hiking socks. I am usually a size 7.5 but ordered an 8 so I can snug some extra socks in. I would be very happy if this comes in more color though. I also wanted to point out how picky some people are who wrote reviews. It made future buyer very confuse about their decision. I agree that this boots has so many strings that it's somehow hard to take off. But come on guys, i doesn't take more than 3 mins to put on and it definitely takes less time to take off. Keep up the good work Sorel!

These are gorgeous and sturdy boots. They're not ultra-warm, but will obviously be paired with thick wool socks when needed, and I appreciate that I can control the warmth level that way as I hate when my feet get too hot. Biggest problem I have with these boots is the sizing. I originally ordered my normal size of 7.5 which were much too small so I sized up to an 8. After having the 8s on for a bit, just walking around the house and sitting down a bit, I decided they are also too small for nice thick wool socks and am exchanging again for an 8.5. But the style, ruggedness and otherwise perfection of these boots has me determined to make them work!

These are cute boots. They are unlined so the seams rub. I had to return them. They run small. I usually wear a 9. The 9½ was snug.
