Purchased as hiking boot as I have 4e foot and hard to find wide widths.
Sadyly, this boot was also not wide enough. Should be fine boot for people with normal width feet.

I like the boot alot especially because of the all leather tongue for welding. Was pretty disappointed after a week to have the stitching where the rubber toe meets leather unravel as well as the rubber come off at the same place. Upon arrival the rubber insole in one shoe was a little less than half as thick as the other and therfore was not as comfortable. POOR QUALITY CONTROL!!

I would give it a 5 star rating but the sole separated after only a year of wear. For the price they should last longer than that.

This is my fourth pair of this model boot and the first pair that I've seen from Bangledesh. The visual quality of the left boot was bad, the fit and comfort are AWFUL. Shame on Timberland for cheaping out so profoundly

The boot looks great, but very stiff around the toes. Doesn't bend at all. You start to walk like a robot. They look stylish but not an all day boot.

I would love to give a 5 star review as I do like the style and weight of the boot, my feet are getting use to the boots, I have not worn work boots for over 30 years, but. After lots of research I settled on the brand of Timberland. I walk on hard concrete floor all day long and need to find a quality shoe as I ruin athletic shoes in just a few months. After narrowing down many boots I settled on these. My first pair broke a lace loop on the first day I tried them on. This pair was replaced quickly. I broke the same lace loop on the second pair on the second morning of having them which was today. Customer service has been great and I still want to give these boots the benefit of the doubt because my feet seem to be getting use to them, I am requesting the same style for replacement. Hopefully third time is a charm and I am just using up all the defects for everyone else.

I have had these boots for 3 days of wear. Day one my big toe is wet. Left foot. Day 2 same thing.
I'm not standing in water. I'm outside all day walking it in all types of terrain. Walking in wet grass. And light rain. Boot says waterproof right on it.
I'll be sending it back.

It's basically the only footwear product I use 98% of the time on my feet. I walk on multiple styles of surfaces, for several hours at a time, including periods of torrential downpours. I would not suggest doing this if you haven't broken them in. This product outlasts the amount of time most footwear should last. It keeps the ability to stand when slipping down gravel surfaces, without getting twisted ankles. However, you're really lucky if you could find a shoemaker that can honestly tell you, that the product will be waterproof when he/she replaces the vibram outsole. Timberland customer support does not offer this specific outsole in the shoemaker catalog and told me on the phone, that they don't refurbish them and can't direct me where to go to get this done. All they could suggest was to purchase another pair. This single issue is enough to only get a 2 star rating. Offer a reasonable solution and I rate it 5 stars.

Had this pair of boots going on 2 years now. Break in period took the longest of any boots I have worn, nearly 2 months. Countless blisters later the boots finally listened to my feet. Unfortunately, the cloth on the insoles had entirely come off by then. Another 4 months down the line the toe of the sole of the shoe began coming off. Used shoe goo to reattach the toe, then the heels did the same thing. By a years time the leather itself had entirely split from wear and tear along the outside side of the foot. Another few months and the sole on the other boot is beginning to detach.

I am a forklift operator and spend most of my day outside, exposed to the elements. I bought these boots with the thought in mind that, my feet are the number one concern when working 6 to 8 hr days. They are extremely comfortable, and durable. I bought them back in September of 2014, and it is now February 2015. For the past week, we have had a Major snow storm with a mixture of rain. within 3 hrs of working outside, My feet were VERY cold and VERY Wet, something i was not expecting with a waterproof tag on the boot.

This boot is not waterproof at all! I work at a shipyard...constantly in water, this boot did not keep my feet dry! I love Timberlands, but these boots really disappointed me! I do not recommend these boots at all.
I'd also recommend:
Wolverine, or Keen.

I really liked these shoes (very little breakin) until they started to come unsewn on the side leather near the toe cap after only 8 months. These shoes were fairly expensive, therefore I believe they should be of better quality and last longer. I am not that hard on my shoes. My previous pair of Timberland Pros, different style, lasted nearly 2 years. I wish I could predict whether this was just a poorly stitched pair of boots or are they all like this. I am very disappointed and am going to try another brand next time.

I will never buy this brand again. I spent close to 200 on these boots and they didn't even last a year. I have holes on the outside. The inside sole is worn away. The back of the heal is worn away. I tried to exchange these but got no reply. It is very upsetting since my over pair of work boots from this company are still great.

After adding an orthopedic insert it's ok.
Out of the box was terrible. The footbed insert that they provide is a joke! Way too thin.
I ordered what they advertised on the website as their insert and it was just more of the same.
I'm very disappointed, will not buy from them again!

Product was good as far as comfort but when it comes down to stitching it's very bad I had mine a couple months and the stitching is coming apart and they are not back in their warranty even though it seems to be a problem as you can read on their reviews and other reviews I would not recommend anyone to buy this

Always worn Keen boots. Went to my local boot store the guy that I always deal with raved about these because I do landscaping and I'm always in water. About a week into wearing them I noticed my left foot at the toes was getting damp and it was a mid-winter so I know it was not sweat. Now mind you I'm hard on a boot and I walk all day long which is another reason I purchased this boot. I bought these at the end of January and actually today I just threw them in the trash. They have completely come apart I called timberland they gave me the run-around about fill out this application and send it to this store yada yada I said the heck with it went back to boots from Keen. Never will I purchase another pair of timberlands this was the first and the last.
