Great boots. True to size. Very comfortable. The actual color is a much lighter shade of brown than what it appears to be in the online picture.

These are extremely cute but do not have much arch support. Might be hard to stand or walk for long periods of time, but a very nice look. So if you are looking for a comfort shoe, this is probably not it - does not fit like Merrell or Dansko which might be others for you to consider if you like arch support.

Great looking boot and very easy on/off. A bit loose (width), but allows for thicker socks. Very comfortable and versatile. Look great with skinny or bootcut jeans. Odered my normal size 7.5. The color is a grey/brown - more grey than depicted in the photo. The sole is very comfortable/flexible but has good traction. Would have rated 5 stars if the boot was a bit more narrow.

This boot is so comfortable! I like a little heel, and this boot gives me a nice heel without compromising comfort or functionality. The material doesn't seem waterproof, yet it holds up great in rain and snow. The tread on the sole is good too. I just have two complaints about this boot: One, the snap on the outside of the boot is VERY difficult to access when you have the boot on. By looking at the boot, this wouldn't make sense, but when you have it on, it's not as easy as reaching down and snapping it. I think the angle of the snap makes it more difficult to line up and get it with that side's hand. I usually have to snap it with my opposite hand to get the leverage required to line it up and click it in. Because of this, I often just don't snap it and walk around with it unsnapped. That works just fine! I do hope KEEN changes this design flaw for the future. My other small annoyance is that the front of the boot is very plain. It would be nice to have some detail or stitching on the front of the boot to give it a little more style.

Love this boot. I have the Keen Bern boots already and decided I needed to expand my collection. They go with everything, they're comfortable and they're the perfect height. The heel is a little wide but I just wear a thicker sock and I'm fine.

So narrow. I have wide feet, I get that not all shoes will fit me. I ordered my regular Keen size, and could barely wedge my foot into it; it was actually painful. So I ordered a whole size up, and it still squeezes uncomfortably across the instep, while being huge and floppy everywhere else. It's cute as hell, and if you have narrow feet, it might be a great fit (assuming your feet are narrow but your ankles are normal?).

Great looking boots! Feel good whenever I wear them outside walking or inside shopping. They are a bit big on me. I usually buy a 5-1/2 or a 6. These are 6's but are a bit roomy when not wearing heavy socks. So I bought some insoles to use so I can use them with both heavy & lighter socks. They are also higher than I thought, definitely not flat. I've received many compliments about them. They prove again that Keen's are best for me.

I'm always looking for new style Keens...have basically given Keen an "exclusive" to shoes I'm buying now. They are H2O proof, don't need polish (for the most part) and are both stable and comfortable. I am not a "trendy" person but will buy something that's in style but won't be "dated" next year. I bought the Akita ankle boot with knowing it is a boot I'll wear for years as I wear all my Keen footwear dating back 10 years and they all still look new. Keen has proven to me to be a great product.

My new favorite fall boot! Clunky, chunky in a good way, they go with everything--jeans, leggings, and skirts. They are comfortable, but are a bit loose which isn't a bad thing, since I can put some thick socks on when it gets snowy.

These boots didn't have enough arch support for me so inserted my own arch supports but this raised my foot up a bit higher and then the top edge of the boot dug into my foot. Disappointing because I love them otherwise! Unfortunately I am returning them.

These boots look great on. I normally wear a size 7 in Keens and so ordered these in a 7. They felt a bit tight around the widest part of my foot however, and after wearing them around the house for 30 minutes they just weren't comfortable. I do have wide-ish feet and generally wear Danskos. These Keen boots are really cute though, so I plan to try a half size bigger to see if that solves it.

I am a big Keens fan, and so when this boot became available, I was excited because I had always wished Keens had made a more dressier boot that was comfy like the Keens standard. Unfortunately these are not comfortable and despite trying two sizes I am sadly having to return these. I was so on the fence about keeping them but the question was told me to return them was, 'could I stand in these all day' and I knew I couldn't If you are looking for good looking shoes that fit like Keens, you are liable to be disappointed. But if you are accustomed to wearing heels this will probably be your most comfortable shoes ever. I hope Keens can make a shoe like this with lower heels.

I have a lot of Keens shoes because they are so comfortable - however few of their shoes are really very dressy or attractive. These are a great shoe for upping the style, not REAL DRESSY but nice for going out on the town with nicer clothes. I have fat ankles and these definitely slim down the ankles. My only concern is the snaps and sort of hard to close and I just hope they last through the life of the shoe. Not quite as comfortable as the sandals or clogs but the price you pay for a tad fancy I guess.

The sizing is definitely a bit odd, all because of the boot top. My usual 8 size was a bit long and my heel ended up popping up while walking. Half size smaller seemed to do the trick! Otherwise, very cute and comfortable.

Some what tricky to slip foot into but once you get the hang of it it's fine at least in my case. The suede gives a bit allowing you to tuck your foot into the unsnapped boot. I have a normal width foot and normal sized ankles and I went with a B, Medium as usual. Like the look and comfort level of this boot.

Does not fit like a typical Keen. So if you have wide feet, these will not work. They also felt just a tad shorter in length, but I couldn't really tell exactly because it was just too tight across the top of my foot. If you don't have wide feet, these are perfect for you and oh so cute.

I love Keens and have several types. Ordered a size 7. Should have paid attention to some of the reviews. Couldn't begin to put my foot in it. From the reviews, sizing must be off for 6.5 and 7. Probably shouldn't leave star rating as I couldn't get my feet into them.

Just received these ankle boots and I'm very happy. They are surprisingly comfortable and I love the style, which is casual/kind of a biker chic. My one complaint is that the button closure seems very cheap and I'm almost certain it isn't going to last. When it does break then it's most likely going to damage the leather material by leaving a hole, and I'm then going to have to pay to have them repaired...pretty disappointing given the price of these boots. And, contrary to a couple reviews I read, not using the button closure is not an option. The shaft of this boot is tapered to fit the slender ankle area (which is a good feature actually) and plus there's the height from the wedge heel which creates a sharp angle right inside the shaft, so that means you would have to have super narrow, short feet to get these on without unbuttoning -- or maybe you'd have had to buy these boots in a much larger size than needed or have taken out the special Keen insole and crammed your foot in (but, really, why do either of those?). Anyway, very narrow, short feet is most definitely not me nor the majority of the population, so I wouldn't count on not using the button closure. Also, regarding overall sizing, I normally wear an 8 1/2 but given that some of the other reviews suggested ordering up a size and then others said don't size up at all, I decided to split the difference and ordered up half a size to a 9. My verdict is that I should have gone up the whole size to a 9 1/2 as these boots only barely fit my naked foot. Thankfully they're super comfy Keens so a little snugness isn't gonna kill my foot like it would have with other brands, and I live in California and can get away with not wearing socks pretty much year round. But, ultimately, I definitely agree with sizing up a full size for most people especially if you plan to wear socks at all. So I took off 2 stars for the button closure and the sizing (though in my mind it is more like 1.5 stars). Comfort can't be beat and style is just what I was looking for, so 5 stars for both of those.

These are so cute! But they have zero arch for my feet, which admittedly have a high arch. I could not feel any shoe under my arch at all. So sad, but these cuties are going back.

Cute casual boot that will be great this winter in the slush, snow, and ice of the midwest. Not as comfortable as I'd hoped. The toe box is so roomy that my feet slide forward when I walk which can make my toes sore.

Love the look- but SO uncomfortable. A great looking casual boot with a little height, but unfortunately they feel heavy, stiff and heel is hard as rocks. The heel feels like solid hard rubber, so it doesn't give or bend, and isn't comfortable to walk in for very long. A lighter weight material would have made these boots perfect. They also feel tight in the toe (and I went up a full size) and loose in the heel. They lack the comfy, soft, broken-in feel of other Keen boots and shoes I've tried.

Have been looking for a casual ankle boot with a wedge heel & loved the look of these. Unfortunately, the heel was too wide & were not very comfortable on my feet.

These boots are so comfortable and I ordered the size 8 based on the previous reviews of sizing. The length is fine but my ankles are very thin and they simply flop around on my foot...so I returned them sadly.

So bummed! I really like this boot, but unfortunately it is way too narrow for my wide feet. I even usually buy Keen because of the wide toe bed, but these seem even more narrow than past Keens I have bought. I couldn't even get my left foot past the the heel to get my foot all the way in. Cute shoe, too narrow. I miss the old Keens, that seemed way wider. Off to UPS to return!
