I previously had a pair of New Balance 749s which were great shoes. I ordered the same size and these do not fit the same in any way. The width and length seem right, but my heel slips in them. The front also feels tighter and does not provide the same roominess as my old 749s. I doubt buying a different size would help because they would be too tight. I do not know what happened to New Balance. These shoes just do not fit right at all. Also, it is almost impossible to find shoes that look mature and do not have outrageous patterns, logos and colors anymore. Some of us do not want to look like we are circus performers. Please bring back good looking shoes for mature people.

I have read lots of reviews that say newer New Balance shoes are running smaller then before. I hoped that it was just a fluke but sadly it seems not. I have three pairs of older New Balance from 10 4E to 10.5 4E that fit fantastically. Now I ordered these and they are at least one size too narrow. Unless New Balance starts to offer 5E in all their sizes I will unfortunately have to stop buying them.

I always wear this style and make of shoe. The most recent purchase of the same shoe is narrower and possibly shorter than the last pair I purchased. New Balance has always been the very best fitting shoe for me. I have always wore a 11 1/2 4E in this style. They have always fit perfectly in the past. This time they fit narrower in width and it may be because of that that also my big toe on both shoes feel that they don't have enough room. It isn't so bad that it is unbearable but noticeably uncomfortable. I am hoping that more extended wearing them that they will become more stretched and comfortable in the future. The next time I order these I will be trying a 12 4E in hopes that it will cure this problem. I know that the problem is that I am growing out of them because I am in my later years and it seems I am at that slightly shrinking years of my life. I hope this helps.

This is a solid athletic shoe - definitely not lightweight or on the cutting edge of style, but many of us prefer to have something that is substantial, provides good support and comfort and isn't flashy. That is what these shoes are. The only thing I can complain about is that I thought New Balance shoes were made in the USA, but the tongue of these shoes has a made in Indonesia label. Not ideal, but at least it's not made in China.

I purchased two pair of New Balance shoes, both 10.5/4E. The first pair fit perfectly, but this pair was so narrow that I couldn't get my foot into them. I really like the appearance, but either they run way, way narrow or New Balance goofed and had them miss marked.

The styling was nice, and they seemed good quality, but they are much too short and much too narrow, compared to many other New Balance shoes that I wear.

I have short, wide feet and have worn New Balance and Dunham shoes exclusively for more than ten years. These brands provide the fit, support, comfort I require and the quality construction I've come to expect. The NB MW759BR is a sturdy, comfortable shoe that fits right out of the box and requires no break-in period. Based on other reviews, I ordered a half size larger than usual, and the fit was perfect. I've recently read and personally shared concerns about a decline in the quality of NB shoes, particularly those made in the US. These shoes were made in Indonesia, and the quality is top notch.

These walking shoes are superb! They have excellent cushioning and ankle support, and are about as comfortable a shoe as you'll find. I ordered and returned 4 pairs of walking shoes to Zappos before I found these. My feet measure 11 1/2 2e. I am unable to find anything in 2e that is wide enough (since last year). What gives? My shoes are 12 4e by the way. Once tested, I ordered 2 more pairs.

Good shoes! My only regret was that I didn't buy these shoes first for paved trail hiking. I bought a different pair of shoes for hiking/trails that are terrible on paved paths, from New Balance.

This is my third pair of these. I am surprised, New Balance usually discontinues all the shoes that I like. They fit well, this pair better than the last (same size). Durable, comfortable, reasonable price and they don't look like a neon sign (LOOK I'M WEARING SNEAKERS)!

Look like great shoes. Only wore them a couple times but feel great. Look like they are well designed and should last a long time. Well worth the money and great for walking.

I bought these for the golf course. They are very light and comfortable, with great non-slip tread for early morning conditions.

It is actually a great shoe. I just wish I could wear it. This shoe runs vary narrow and I have a 4E wide foot. I ordered the shoe in a half size bigger and in 4E width. Even the half size bigger shoe was way too narrow. Since 4E is the largest width, I could not wear it.

This is the second pair of these that I have purchased for my Dad. He's an avid walker and has a hard time finding shoes that are wide enough for this feet. These have always fit perfectly right out of the box and I'm sure I'll come back in a year or 2 to get him another pair.

PRIOR REVIEWS HAVE INDICATED THAT THIS SHOE RUNS SMALL. FOR MY SIZE IT FIT LIKE A "GLOVE" THE FIRST TIME I SLIPPED INTO THEM. EXTREMELY COMFORTABLE WITH GOOD SUPPORT.

Great shoes. Sturdy and comfy! I walked miles and miles in these shoes on vacation. I am really tough on shoes and they held up well.

I'm not entirely sure why there are complaints about this shoe firing tightly. I've worn NB shoes for well over twenty years without problems, and this shoe is no exception even though of late I've been experiencing swelling of the feet due to edema. It is just a matter of adjusting the laces properly.

We have a terrible time trying to find my husband shoes these are his new favorite. They are durable and comfortable. He normally ends up busting out of his shoes but these are holding up great.

Good looking shoes! You can wear them to drive and they don't get marked up like White sneaks. They also breathe well. They are lightweight. They do not run small. I got 4E wide and they are wide enough.

They look good and seem to be well built. Good for hiking. So many reviews said they were 1/2 size smaller, so I ordered a 10 regular width (my usual size) and 10-1/2. The 10 fit just right. The 10-1/2 was actually too tight in all directions. Go Figure! Kept the 10, sent the other back. These shoes needed to be broken in. I changed out with other shoes during each day. After a few days they felt very comfortable. Even went rock hopping for the first time in 4 years and my feet never complained a bit. I wear support inserts and they fit perfectly in the size 10's. I like these shoes and when they wear out, will order a new pair. Zappos service, as usual, is second to none. Had my new shoes the day after ordering. Their customer svc is amazing!

Very comfortable hiking boot. I don't hike I just wear it around outside for snow shoveling. Very very comfortable. Like these better than the NB sneakers.
