My husband has a hard time finding shoes that are wide enough. We were thrilled to see that these came in a wide width. They were perfect and just what he needed for hiking.

Very comfy and wide. My foot is 5 inches in width and a 4E was just a bit wide. But the sole inserts are soft.

Insole thin, needed a drug store insert. True to size, would buy again, very comfortable. 4.5 out of five stars.

Since I have a very wide foot...I found this to be the most attractive athletic shoe that is comfortable and true to its 4E size.

Love these shoes, and love Zappos. As others have noted, they run a TAD small. I'm between a 12.5 and a 13, and pretty much a perfect 2E. I ordered these in a 13 4E and they fit just about perfectly (a smidge wide if I'm not wearing thick socks, but still closer to a 2E than a 4E.) They are a great daily wear around my laboratory, and excellent light day hikers. Good on bare granite rock face, light mud, and wore them kayaking and was surprised that they were somewhat water proof and cleaned up really well. Seem to be holding up well after a month of wearing them 3-5 days/wk. Disappointed to find that they are not made in the USA but rather Indonesia, again as others have noted.

Excellent shoes so far. I think I've worn every single day since buying. Good all weather use and stylish looking.

Speedy service, and the shoes were just as promised. The fit was good and they do make good hikers. Light weight with good traction. Will order another pair.

I have a very wide foot (4E) and a very tall instep so I have a hard time finding comfortable footwear. I've been a long-time New Balance fan because they produce several of their models in Wide but still most models were not high enough and the edges of the tongue would always be revealed. This 759 model is for those of you with wide and tall instep feet. They fit like a glove out of the box! Usually I suffer through a blister or two and some foot pain while breaking in even a new pair of New Balance. But not these. Great model.

Great shoes and fit well. I walk everyday to get to work and these are much better than wearing my dress shoes.

I really like these shoes a lot. They fit right out of the box, and I am a 14 EEEE! The shoes feel quite stable, and they also look very good. Very pleased with this purchase. Highly recommend.

I have found New Balance to be the most comfortable shoes for me. It's also that I like the style as well, and these are the most comfortable I have ever worn. I just love these, and they have become my special camera and roving around shoe. I love photography, and take a whole day trekking wherever I think I might find someplace to shoot. These are the ones i want to wear! Love them - all around.

These are great shoes except they run a hair shy of not being wide enough. I will have to return and exchange them for a wider size, if available. Maybe my husbands's feet have expanded?

I can't say enough good things about this shoe. It took a couple of attempts to find the correct size, but the fit is perfect and the arch support is just right. I have enough room to put my orthodics inside and walking long distances is very comfortable in these shoes. I originally purchased them for hiking on rough terrain, but they are now my go-to shoe for anytime. The only complaint, if you could even call it that, is the shoe laces are not long enough. That is easily rectified by buying replacement laces. I'm buying a second pair as a backup for when these wear out.

These shoes are very comfortable, and accommodated my very wide feet. However, the insole is oriented in a way that they are making my feet overpronate -- really lean to the inside -- in a way that is not normally a problem for my feet. So the one adjustment I need to make is to replace the inserts with something that will correct that.

The 4E is remarkably narrow: much narrower than a Dunham 4E. More like anyone else's 2E / W at most. This is apparent even from looking at the sole from underneath. NB sizing is weird. Otherwise, comfortable and stable with pretty good arch support for a lightweight shoe: perhaps already too good to accommodate most orthotic insoles.

I really liked the shoes, but had to return because they were too narrow. I buy NB XWide (EEEE) regularly and these were much narrower than others. Size was still good, just the width.

I read reviews from people stating that the newer New Balance shoes are narrower than previously and this is true for this shoe model. I typically buy New Balance shoes because they provide wider shoes that fit nicely to my feet. I normally purchase a 2E (EE) size and they work out perfectly but after reading reviews I went with a 4E for this model and they are a little tighter almost the width of a simple wide size shoe.

I normally take a size 10.5 EEE. When the first pair arrived, width was fine but not length. I had to order a half size larger to get a proper fit.

I bought these to be midway between running shoes and hiking boots. They are plenty sturdy, though if you use the top lace holes, they pinch your ankle a bit. I wish the tongue were a little longer. The arch support isn't what I'd have wished, though, and I've had to buy arch support inserts for them. With the inserts in, they're very comfortable walking shoes.

I've been wearing New Balance for years because they seem the best fit for wide feet like mine. But even with a 4E this shoe didn't seem wide enough, so I returned one pair and purchased the same shoe a half size larger even though it's now a little loose in the heel.

I bought these to have some middle ground between running shoes and hiking boots, and they've performed well in that role. I wore them for several days at my son's Boy Scout camp, and they held up to a lot of walking. They're not waterproof, of course, like boots would be, but they also don't pretend to be. Note, though, that they don't have the best arch support; if that is something you look for in a shoe, you may want to invest in supplemental arch supports to go in them. That, and the fact that they look a little clunky, are the reasons for only four, rather than five stars. They're good shoes, and I'm happy with them (and my arch-support insoles).

A little stiff and high sides by the ankle. Definitely a half size too long. I would have ordered a replacement but Zappos was out of the next size down.
