These are the most comfortable running shoes. I have ever put on my feet. I am switching to a forefront/POSE running style and wanted a light shoe with only a moderate heel drop and these are great. I also use them in Crossfit workouts. Couldn't be happier. I wear a size 9 in a street shoe and usually bought size 10 in running shoes. These 9 1/2's are just right.

I love these shoes! I use them for Crossfit and true to Inov-8 form they have been great. I think they run slightly bigger than my f-230s in the toe which I prefer. They have held up to rope climbs great and are super comfortable. I hate taking them off when I get home from the gym. Also Zappos is great. I will continue to buy my shoe only from y'all

I've been looking for a Crossfit shoe. These have been the best fit for me. They are a bit stiffer than the 230, which I like and they fit my feet like a snug glove. Been great for 800m runs, box jumps, and squats. A good all around crossfit shoe. Haven't used them for ropes yet.

This is my first pair of Inov-8 shoes but I guarantee it will not be my last. These shoes are by far the most comfortable pair that I have owned and I am an admitted shoe collector so I have had many to compare them to. They are lightweight, my feet do not overheat in them, and they look great. I wear them for circuit training and I really hate having to take them off! They are excellent shoes in my book.

I bought this shoe because I love the FL-230 and 195 for overall CrossFIt workouts and wanted to see if the sole insert to support rope climbing actually worked. It does! This shoe still has an overall great feel due to its solid construction and lightweight. However, I believe the particular pair I received has a defect in the footbed of one shoe and true to their advertising, Zappos I am returning this pair in exchange for another, which I should receive in about 48-hours. Will report back as to whether it's a defect or part of the sole design which puts irritating pressure on the ball of my foot after about 15 minutes of running. On a side note, I also have a pair of Reebok Nano2's. I have found both great to workout in, but they're different. In general, the Nano2 has slightly more padding under the mid-foot, which makes them more comfortable for runs over 400m and they're more roomy in the toe box, so less likely to wear out in the little toe area, which has happened on every pair of Inov8s. The Inov8's have a more secure feeling around the foot which I like and the lightness of it is fantastic. Also, the new sole insert on the 240s definitely preserve the sole from rope burn. Special note: It is a pleasure dealing with Zappos Customer Service as I have consistently found them to be courteous, responsive and professional. (Thank you Christina!)

My husband wears an 11 1/2 in his other Innovates, but this one ran much bigger. They were too long and way too much room in the toe box. He returned them for an 11, but hasn't been able to use them yet. The new ones fit better, but haven't been Crossfit tested. Obviously we're huge fans of Innovates and wouldn't Crossfit in anything else!

Unbelievably comfortable! These are the most comfortable sneakers I have ever worn. This is my first minimalist shoe, use them for crossfit. Highly recommend these.

I like a 230 but with rope guard! Inov-8 continues to innovate and evolve with the CrossFit community. I immediately launched myself on the rope at my box, ascended, descended, and bam! No shredding! The trailrocs are sick for the Spartan too!

Great shoes, I teach CrossFit and wear these about 12 hours per day. Last pair made it a year and were great. Reordered the same shoe and same size, and it is killing my toes. Obviously smaller than the last pair. Not sure if they will give me a refund yet since they have been worn. First pair would have been 5 stars across the board. I don't understand the size inconsistency.

Nice training shoe. Runs narrow as mostly all Inov-8s do so if you're contemplating between 2 sizes go with the larger one. Light weight and the material breaths.

Very utilitarian; excellent for the purpose I bought them, which is working with my personal trainer on core-type exercises (TRX, stability ball, floor exercises, etc.) Aesthetically, they're kinda homely, but who cares. Size-wise these fit true to size with the understanding that as with most athletic shoes you wear a larger size than your street shoe. I wear 11.5, but all my athletic shoes are 13.

I weigh 186 lbs. and I have low arches. I tried to jog in these shoes without success. The have very good forefoot support but little arch and heel support. Keep in mind these are minimalist shoes. These shoes are very good at cross training as they are light and stable, which make them very good for weight training.

I live in Sweden and this model doesn't exist here so I had a friend get them for me. The shipping was really fast and flawless. I really like the look of the shoe as well, the pictures of it were really close to reality. When I ordered them, at first, I found it hard to pay with my Swedish card but the staff helped me out really well! In Sweden the f-lite 195 exist and I bought the same size I would have in them, but these shoes (240) felt a half size smaller than the 195 same size. I'm really satisfied overall.

I did extensive research when I wanted to get into a zero drop shoe. I wanted to transition as naturally as possible for crossfit workouts, because going directly to zero drop after wearing regular running shoes didn't seem like a good idea. I really liked the Inov8 website and how they go into great detail about the process of transitioning, and what their shoes offer. I looked at the Reebok Nano but in the end, went with something I could still run short-med distances in. I did take out the insole and put in some Superfeet blue, which slid in quite perfectly. I needed the extra arch support and with them in, really enjoy the F-Lite 240s. I'm confident I'll go with Inov8 in the future.

These shoes are the ideal minimal workout shoe. Definitely closer to the ground without sacrificing comfort. They're light and breathe wonderfully. I have a fairly wide foot, and I still found these shoes to be comfortable on the width, which is difficult when it comes to athletic shoes. My squats feel more natural with the 4mm differential. They also feel great to run in. I couldn't be happier. If you're looking for a shoe that will keep up with the broad spectrum that comes with CrossFit, you can't beat inov8.

I love my Inov-8s. I am on my second pair. The first were F-Lite 195s and they just did not have enough of a sole for me. I have plantar fasciitis and the 240s are perfect. I can run in them for 7-10 miles and not have my feet kill me like the 195s did. The 195s are great workout shoes, though, much more solid contact feeling with the ground than the 240s - a slight trade off for less foot pain. I would recommend these to anyone. Quickly too, if no one has told you the number associated with Inov-8s is the weight of the shoe in grams.

I bought these shoes because I tried a pair of barefoot type running shoes. They offered too little support for me. My feet hurt, I did give it a week, too. But, no improvement. I need to transition slower, I guess. So, bought these. They are fine. They do seem a bit narrow in the foot area. My right three last toes get numb after the first mile or so. I think because the toe box is too narrow and that nerve there is getting squeezed. Other than that, these are decent!

These are great minimalist running shoes. They are not the most minimalist, but good introduction shoes. The soles are made from a very soft sticky rubber, which means they wear down rather fast with normal use, but they are incredibly grippy. These shoes also fit my feet very well, but I have really narrow feet. But they are built on Inov-8's performance last so yes, they are rather narrow. Look for one with a natural last if you have larger feet. The lightweight uppers with the TPU things on the side realy work well for wrapping around your feet without creating any rub or pressure points. They actually work amazingly well for trail running because of how light they are and how sticky the sole is. They actually were first created by Inov-8 to be mountain running flats. All in all, these are great lightweight shoes.

After having a pair of 230's for a few months and being very happy with them, I bought a pair of 240's to use for Krav Maga and CrossFit. Unfortunately, both shoes started pulling away from the soles toward the toes on the outer sides after minimal use. Perhaps these would be better for light use in the gym and running, but I was pretty disappointed considering what they cost.

I've had the lighter F-lites (195s and the 230s) and thought this would be very similar. Just like the other F-lites, out of the box they felt comfortable right away. Toe box is spacious and the difference in weight was not noticeable at all. Only after 10-15 miles of running I started noticing that the back of my left ankle (around the achilles tendon) was starting to hurt. I ran again in the 195s and felt better. From this totally non-scientific observation, I think this 240s are somehow a little different in shape and is bothering my left foot. For this only reason I give this a 3-star in comfort rating; a good shoe but it didn't exactly agree with me. The camouflage pattern is also pretty ugly. It did not make me run faster.
