Was so excited to order the LITA, looked smart, hip but what a disappointment. Color looked a bit painted rather than weathered/worn. Hope they improve the overall shoe.

After receiving these shoes and trying them on I decided that they, unfortunately, had to go back. I loved the funky finish but not the fit. I wear a size 10 and for length they were perfect. My forefoot was totally squished though. As well as the toe part tips up significantly. Perhaps that would go away with wearing. They were awkward and uncomfortable.

Totally disappointed. The shoes do not look like the picture. They are completely brown--no black. What is worse is that they were misshapen and not even close to the actual size. I wear a size 6 in everything. I ordered a size six and even after I remove the laces, I could not even squeeze my feet into the shoes. In addition, the shoes like to me like they were different sizes (although both said size 6). I understand that there might be some variation in a handmade product but if you should be able to count on the shoes being close to the stated size and being of equal size. This is my first and last experience with Bed Stu. Thankfully I ordered from Zappos. They are going back. Maybe someone who wears a size 4 shoe can find happiness with them.

I really tried...really. I think these shoes beyond cool and so I ordered them, twice. I am a true to size 7 (every few years I find a shoe that fits better as a 6.5 but really I don't think twice about ordering 7). So that's what I did - ordered a 7 and then waited excitedly for my cute new kicks. When they arrived it was no luck - the 7 were laughably large - canoes. I loved the quality and craftsmanship and I get the whole deal that they are handmade and thus there will be some variability but I would say this fully more than a full size off. So, I returned them and went back to read the reviews and figure out what went wrong. Nobody said anything about incorrect sizing so I took a breath, considered my options and ordered a 6.5. Within a day or so (gotta love Zappos speedy shipping!) I got the shoes; and again - so, so big! What the heck?! I still covet these shoes but I give up on the order/return cycle. I am still not sure how I ended up with the two wonky-sized pairs but it's a bummer because I would have relished in all the compliments I would have received since they are so great-looking!

I wonder if the sizing of these shoes is inconsistent from pair to pair. I'm normally a size 7 1/2, but these (in brown) were so large that I didn't even try to exchange them because I had no idea what size to try. 6 1/2? 6? They were gorgeous, but . . .
