I am so disappointed. I love the design, the quality of the materials, the color - everything. But it doesn't fit! I have a narrow foot, which was fine for the toe box, but the hell was way too wide and my foot just kept slipping out. I normally am a 9 narrow; after reading other review I ordered an 8. I think an 8.5 would be better but the heel would be even bigger. Sad I can't keep them. :-(

Right out of the box, I was very impressed with the quality and workmanship of these shoes. The feel of the leather is way superior to any leather shoes I've owned. They look amazing on. As the pics show, the sole angles upward from the ball toward the toes, giving them a springy, sharp look. I WISH I could keep them, but the M is way too wide for my N foot. Even pulling the laces as tight as they go, the upper still moves too much around my foot, and I predict that as I break them in, they'd get even looser-fitting.

These shoes are gorgeous. I have bedstu boots which I would wear every day if I could get away with it. I am between a 9½ and a 10, going higher for heels or narrow tight shoes. I thought the size 10 would be about right because of my boots. But these were way too big. So I am going down a size. The shoes actually look small on my boat feet. They have a great leather and finish.

Overall, I think the Frye wingtips are more well made, but this is a cool, funky shoe. This shoe is very slick on the bottom, even after wearing them for awhile. The pair I received look more blue than black, which is not necessarily a bad thing, but just to give you a heads up.

Well, all the reviews were correct. The shoe is very narrow! I brought it to my shoe repair man and he stretched them for a couple days, one shoe fits nicely now but the other still needs some stretching. I am keeping them because I love the look, hope they work out.

These had a lot of potential, but were a swing-and-a-miss for me. I ordered the "black" in a 7.5 (my normal size). There was a tad bit more room in the toe than I'd like, but not as much as I get in a Frye, so I'm not sure I'd be able to go down a 1/2 size. My feet are fairly narrow, but these shoes felt crazy wide in through the middle/instep area. Even with medium weight smartwool socks on and the laces as tight as they'd go, there was a ton of loose space (like, at least 2 finger's worth). The toes, on the other hand, felt nice and snug. The color/finish: others have commented on this, and the treatment on these shoes is indeed a little weird. It gives the shoes a bluish cast and in my opinion make them look kind of cheap, even though the construction feels sturdy. I do like this oxford style, and the soles had nice padding -- just a weird fit and finish. If the fit had been great, I might have kept them, as I like the style and the "rustic" finish is tolerable if you're looking at them from a distance.

I normally wear size 9½M or 10N. I tried both and kept the 10 as the toe box runs narrow. The heel was almost too wide, but tight laces secure the fit. These are made using old school techniques and real stacked leather heel. I do not mind this price for shoes that are obviously made in a small shop and not mass-produced! Ironically, I was trying men's shoes at the Nordsrom sale rack before finding Bedstu Lita. I am sick of ladies shoes which are either pretty but flimsy and uncomfortable or comfortable but ugly or sneaker hybrid. Why can men's shoes combine fashion and function but not women's? Bedstu Lita goes great with pegged skinny jeans or even a casual linen skirt. Business casual work wear or funky chic street wear. I love the vintage revival tan color although my boyfriend teased me saying it would be cheaper to go to the thrift store if I wanted used shoes. I have only worn them for one day so no serious miles on them but they are already forming to my foot the way good leather shoes will.

Painfully narrow. I have a wider foot but these were really tight. It also felt really weird to walk - the soles curve up a little and flex oddly. The leather was a lighter color than I hoped for but I didn’t care because of the fit issues.

This shoe in brown is much lighter than in the picture, but still a gorgeous, very well-made shoe. The problem came with the sizing. I ordered my normal 6.5 and literally couldn’t even get my foot into the shoe. Not even close. At this rate, I probably wear an 8 in this shoe, but I’m going with another brand that fits me.

This was an exchange for the Lita in my usual size 8.5 in the 2 tone which was too small. Tried the 9 and that was at least a half size too small, love the look and had coupon so purchased more a good price, but honestly got fed up with the trial and error. Maybe I'll give them another go if the 2 tone becomes available in 9.5 and I get get another good coupon code.

The color doesn't look like it did in the picture. I ordered Taupe Tan Rustic, and it looks brown in the picture but was green. The fit was weird: kind of tight overall, but my heels slipped in the shoe. Disappointed because I love the style.

Wow these are small. I wear a size 6 normally, and I’m a 6 in their tall boots (like Gogo), and a 6.5 in their shorter booties. After reading the reviews I sized up to a 6.5 and still can barely get them on. They absolutely smush my toes together and are so uncomfortable. There is also way to much brown popping through the black for my taste. So bummed. I wish these were actually distressed black, then I would go with a 7.

I tried two pair and both were way too small. The first pair I thought that the wrong size had to be placed in the box. Then the second pair arrived and they were also super small. I could barely get my foot into the shoe. I also order a half size larger than I wear to fit my custom insert inside the shoe. Even with out the inserts I had trouble putting these on!

I LOVE wingtips! And these looked amazingly cool, BUT, the colors made me feel like a clown. I considered getting plain brown ones but decided not to force the issue. I think my practical side wouldn’t let me splurge. :)

Loved the look of the shoe, but not even close to size and thus not comfortable. Sadly returned.

I wanted to love these, but they were far too tight (I have a med-wide foot) even when I bought a 1/2 size larger. I could go up a size, but I don’t think that will solve the problem. If they came in a wide style that would be great. They are beautifully made shoes and I would love to own a pair. Sadly, I have to return.

Love the shoe but way too small

These are the prettiest, must rustic oxfords I've owned. I ordered a 9 and found them to be extremely tight (could only wear with stockings). I went 1/2 size up and am now able to wear moderately thin socks with them. Much better...still breaking them in and have only worn them twice. Hoping they'll stretch out a little more. Beautiful shoe but that first pair I ordered was a killer!

I like the look of this shoe but it is so narrow I couldn't make it work. My usual size is 7.5, I ordered a 7.5 and an 8. They feel a half size small. I sometimes encounter width issues but not with every shoe, the Lita was an absolute no-go, it's a bummer. FWIW, I didn't notice an overpowering odor but they did smell a little weird when I did a close-up sniff. How often do you do that, though?

The color isn’t as great in person. I also tried the darker version and I didn’t like those either. Returning for different, darker color.

Beautiful shoe! Absolutely beautiful. Had to return because the sizing was too weird. I felt like when the shoe broke in it would be too big and it rubs on the back of the heel. Soooo sad because the leather on these shoes were bad***!

I am a solid size 9 for 90% of Zappos shoes. I couldn't even get my feet into the 9, when I ordered the 9.5 they still felt way tight and small. Shoes are gorgeous, just sorry they don't fit.

Run small in size

Crushing disappointment! I first ordered the black in a 9.5, my usual size in most of my shoes. It arrived, it was beautiful, but I could not get my foot in the shoe. It was so well made and I knew the leather would stretch, so I decided to take a chance on a 10. Zappos did not have the black in a 10, so I got the teak, which was also beautiful (the darker parts were more brown--to me, they looked almost black in the picture, but definitely brown in person--had they fit, I would have worked with that). I could get my foot in the 10, but it was still too tight to trust whether they'd stretch enough, and they were also pretty long in the toe. For what it's worth, the front of my foot is wider than normal but not wide enough for a wide shoe to be comfortable (also, my heel is normal width). I also had both bunions removed, so I'm not willing to take much of a risk with too-small shoes.

Although it is not evident from the Zappo's photo, the leather is purposefully extremely weathered, to the point of looking old and used. Additionally, despite the two-toned model's description of the color as "black/rustic rust," the part that appears on the photo is not black but rather a dark brown. I have returned these.
