That great Pegasus spring is gone and has been replaced by a lumpy Brooks-like density. They lifted the back and you are forced onto the ball of your feet, so if you are a midfoot striker like me your metatarsals will be screaming at you after a few miles. The cushioning is only in the heel unit, so after getting forced onto your toes, you don't have a nice soft pad to land on. I can already feel the lumps and grooves in the sole of the shoe and it's been less than 20 miles. The upper is loose and since you're sliding forward, prepare to have your toes rub onto the rim of the front of the shoe. Man, why did Nike screw up a great shoe?

I have had this shoe for a month and, besides training runs, I have run a half marathon and a 10 Mile race in them. This is the most comfortable running shoe I have ever had. The toe box is wide, which accommodates my broad foot, and the mesh is soft, so no black toenails. I''ve also had lots of compliments on the color. I will stick with this one from now on.

Surprise! I have worn a women's Nike Air Pegasus since the early 1980's! That is the only shoe I wear other than dress shoes and boots. For years I ran in the new ones, just knocked around in the older ones, worked in the yard in the old ones and then threw them away. I always have a new pair waiting in the wings! Yes, they are a bit pricey, but I shop at Nike outlets, wait for a sale on line and when I find a spectacular deal, I get two pairs. Now, I am 84 years old, had to stop high impact running, but my Nike's take me through 2 hours/day work outs including Zumba, strength training, step aerobics and mountain climbing. Thanks, Nike and Pegasus.

This shoe has a straight last, good cushioning, and nice arch support. All quality's needed for someone who is a true supinator (not just under pronation). This is my 3rd pair of Nike Pegasus. Have tried many other brands and types... and keep coming back. Thank you Nike for keeping this shoe in your line!

These shoes are fabulous. Ran in them the day I got them, and had no problems. I just ran my first 1/2 marathon and my feet never hurt during the run. I did have sore toe nails after, but that's what happens when you run 13.1 - no matter what shoe you wear. Highly recommend these shoes. Plus, you can interchange the laces to change the look of the shoe. I have the bright blue shoe and put in neon green laces, so fun!

Glad I got these! I run a few times a week and have found these to be nice and supportive. They are also really cute and don't make you look like a slob when you slip them on for the grocery store or go casual for a day. Pricey yes, but I am pickier than heck when it comes to my shoes. I have some wide feet which usually puts me in Adidas but I decided to risk it with a pair of Nikes and boy am I ever glad I did. I really want to get them in another color but that may have to wait a while because of the price. But I would rather have one pair of shoes that I like, are comfortable and safe to run in and are cute enough to wear to the grocery store on occasion, than have 10 pairs that I don't like. That's how it works - you get what you pay for.

Zappos provided awesome service. They sent it overnight even though it was standard shipping. These shoes are for my wife and we were pleasantly surprised when the courier guy knocked on the door.

Love this shoe! I'm training for a half marathon and I had gotten shin splints in my old shoes. Shin splints cleared up within a week of getting these shoes! I agree with the other reviewers that they run a bit small, so half size up. Also, the toe box is wide enough to keep feet comfortable even after they swell in longer runs. I want another pair. Waiting for payday to order another pair. I actually had to drive an hour one way to get these shoes! Totally worth the time and gas money.

Not as good as the Pegasus +26, which I had before these. Arch support is not as good. And they cause blisters on my heals.
I'd also recommend:
The +26 version of this shoe is better than the newer +29 version

Felt like I was running on clouds. I run at least 25-30 miles a week and these are the best shoes I've ever run in.

I upgraded from the Nike Air Pegasus 28 as I could no longer find my size in that style. I have had zero problems. I've been running in Nike Pegasus shoes for decades. I have the bright yellow pair. They are definitely Neon Yellow. I get so many compliments on them and I feel safer knowing I'm so bright. The best part about these shoes? I finally qualified for the Boston Marathon while wearing them in my last marathon! So, yeah! Great shoe!

Great shoe! Very comfortable and fit great! Just be prepared for some bulk, since it curves out in the middle it gives your foot a lot of bulk. But overall, amazing shoe!!!

I love the Nike Pegasus. The color has grown on me but I'm very annoyed that Nike only offered such ridiculous colors with such a popular shoe. I guess that shows how much I really like these shoes, since I bought them anyway. I use them for running (3-5 miles) a few times a week and my last pair of 28s got me through a half marathon no problem.

Pegasus! I think this is the best sneakers on earth. It feels like my feet are wrapped in plush cotton blanket. I've read a review of someone wearing this model for 20 years and I wish to do so if Nike continues to make them. I wear dress shoes 6, sneakers 6.5. Nike 6.5 wide or 7 medium. I ordered 6.5 wide for this model and cannot be happier. These shoes are for work where I stand on my feet for 10 to 12 hours and I have no problem with them. Love the shoes and love Zappos!

I generally wear a size 10 in Nike's but I should have a ordered the 10.5 You do need to order a full size up. The shoe felt great and would be perfect for a long distance runner who likes extra cushioning; however thats not me. I tried this shoe to see if it could possible work for me as a cross trainer but it pitched me forward to much and my knee was going over my toes doing a squat.

I started running almost 2 years ago now, and have increased my mileage gradually to about 150 miles a month. From the beginning, I have been wearing Nike Pegasus 29s...these are the only shoes that have been truly comfortable even on my long 13+ mile runs. I tried another brand and had arch issues, also tried the Nike Dual Fusion and it just wasn't as comfortable long term as the Pegasus have been. I have short, wide feet with relatively high arches and these fit my feet well. The only complaint I have is I can't seem to get a full 500 miles out of these...after about 350-400 miles the cushion does seem to get pretty compacted. But for the price these have been very good to me. I will continue buying them unless another shoe really wins me over.

Color is way more neon / glow in the dark looking in person. But very fun! Also, this Air Pegasus runs a bit small. I'd recommend ordering a half size to a whole size up depending on how thick your socks are.

I love the Nike Pegasus running shoes. They offer a lot of cushioning and are lightweight. For me they are good for running and walking. Actually, I’ve been wearing them almost all the time. They fit me well; my feet are a medium width across the toes, but narrow heels. I have slightly high arches. I did go up a 1/2 size as suggested for running.

I needed to replace my old Nike Pegasus - it was not 29 but bowman series, I guess discontinued. I stand on my feet 4 hours a day and I hated to give up my old pair - finally I gave in and got Nike Pegasus 29 series - almost as comfortable and feel truer to size then my old model which ran wider.

I really like these shoes. They are true to size with a lot of support. Cushion inside is very comfortable. I am on my feet a lot during the day and bought these hoping they would be comfortable for all day use. I would recommend these shoes. I have had them for over a month.

My husband used to sell running shoes & swears by Pegasus. I was running in Air Max & trying to overcome a heel issue & tried skeletoes. The issue remained until I started using Pegasus. It is my first pair as I have a size 5 foot. With Zappos I have better chance of finding what I need!

I love these shoes! These are my second pair of Air Pegasus shoes. I started wearing them when I suffered from achilles pain while running. The higher heel helped so much with the healing. The mesh is comfortable. The cushioning is beautiful. Like a lot of Nike, order a half size to a full size up. I usually wear an 8 or 8 1/2 shoe but I ordered a 9.
