In the last year or so I have increased my running from 10-15 miles per week to 15-35 miles per week. I have worn Nike's for the last 4 years and this is the best pair that I have found. I wore these to train for a half marathon in March and rotated in another Nike shoe (one of the Lunar series) and started to have an IT Band issue. After the race I went back to the Pegasus+ 29 and the IT Band issue subsided. I have since ordered two additional pairs of this shoe and rotate between the two when running and have no issues.

I am a mid-foot striker when I run, and I typically run middle-distances like 2 or 5 miles at a time. Sometimes I run in Vibram 5 Fingers, I've tried Newtons, they are all fine. I do tend to like the Nike Air Pegasus shoe a lot though, if I plan on walking/jogging that day. I have absolutely zero foot fatigue with this shoe, and I've not ever had any weird twists, pain, slippage or other foot issues with it. I've worn the Air Pegasus since the early 1990's off and on, through its varied changes and improvements and it's always been a steady favorite of mine. The mid-foot is responsive without being flimsy. The toe-box feels just right to me- I'm a narrow foot and I order the narrow shoe. It cinches down perfectly with the snugness right over the middle-top of my foot, not anywhere near my toes, and that is a good fit for me. I know that a shoe is a very personal choice, so I can only say that for me, a mid-weight, middle-distance runner with a mid-foot strike zone, this shoe is pretty much perfect. The heel area does have decent cushion, so if you are a heel-striker I believe it would work fine for you as well. If I had to sum it up, I'd say that the Pegasus is an all-around decent shoe with a classic fit and design. It won't force you into mid-foot running like a Newton will, and it won't punish you for heel-striking like a Vibram 5 Finger will (smile). It is not the lightest, but it's not heavy either. It's simply a good, solid running shoe for someone with a neutral foot. If you over-pronate, I would caution you with the Pegasus. It does have support but not a lot. One positive note that many might not think of is this- some of the newer shoes have like a waffle sole that bends every which way, and they pick up rocks. The Pegasus has a tread pattern that is spaced far enough apart so that it does NOT pick up every loose pebble on the street, a huge bonus because I got tired of running in my other "unspecified" shoes and hearing the soft "click click click" of a rock in my treads. The Pegasus doesn't have that issue. I think a fair comparison might be the Brooks Ghost 5, in my opinion.

I have long skinny feet with a very high arch. These shoes and their older equivalents, Air Pegasus that I bought 2 years ago, fit very well and are comfortable for walking and jogging. The hell grabs you and doesn't slip which is great. I am conservative, so would prefer a shoe without green soles, but they are much less obnoxious than many!

This shoe is great for support for someone with a a bigger foot size. The arch support and cushion is great and they have held up well.

I am not a long distance runner, but I do run consistently about 3 miles 3-4 times a week. This shoe is perfect for road running. It is lightweight and breathable and is very stable without feeling to constricting.

Got the wide size. I went through two pairs of the Pegasus 28, and they were great. For some reason, I feel like the cushioning in these aren't as cushy as the 28's. Can't beat the sale price in the grey and green colorway.

I was skeptical about buying Nike's because they usually run narrow,but i was shocked at how comfortable they felt right out the box. My feet are a little wider than normal but smaller than EE. I wore them for 6 hour event where I had to stand up most of the time and my feet felt great afterward. Lots of cushion, give you a little more bounce while your walking or running.

This is a pair of excellent shoes. I love it so much that I always wear those whenever I am needed to wear shoes. This is one of the best shoes by Nike, also recommend Adidas Energy Boost Running Shoes.

Super light and comfortable. Extremely fast shipping. The threading is a little office, but overall a great purchase!

These were a great buy. I bought for my husband who usually wears a 10.5, and he preferred the 11 in these. He has a little bit wider feet than avg, and he really likes them. They are light weight and comfortable (he says) and easy to run in.

These are the best running shoes I've ever had. I have very wide feet and need a 4E to 5E width. I bought a 10.5 4E and they were actually wide enough! Although they could be a bit longer so I may try a size 11 next time but these are great shoes. I'm not a big running but I've been running about 17 miles a week with them for the past 3 months and they still feel great! I highly recommend them, especially if you have wide feet. I may buy a couple extra pairs in case they discontinue the shoe.

I work in a pharmacy and walk a couple miles a day. So far these are by far the most comfy Nikes I've ever owned. I have the red ones since I'm a huge UofL fan and I wear guys shoes since I have a wide/large foot for a woman. Highly recommend this shoe.

This is third pair of these I have, also the Smurf blue/red and the neon orange. They are very supportive to wear all day long with scrubs at work, and to run/walk in them for exercise. They fit well and I get plenty of comments on the wild color. Being mainly mesh construction, they are very cool on the feet in out Texas heat. I think you're getting a lot for the price of these shoes. I definitely recommend them with 5 stars!

These shoes feel a bit smaller that the black Nike Pegasus I bought 2 years ago and fit perfectly! They're really red hot and stand out too.

I bought this shoe after my first week through a "couch to 5k" program, and I consider myself a beginning runner. The shoe is very cushioned and it's comfortable to walk and run in. So far the shoe hasn't developed a squeak, a problem I often have with shoes. I like this shoe and would easily buy it again.

I purchased a pair of Nike Air Pegasus 29 athletic shoes and they were so comfortable that I recommended them to my husband. These are much brighter in person but he likes them. They are very comfortable, light, and have good tread on the bottom. They are perfect for our upcoming trip to Disney Land. Order half a size up.

I replaced my older Zoom Vomero shoes with these. The new Zoom Vomero design just wasn't what it used to be. These shoes have the same Cushlon foam which I really like and are as comfortable as the old Zoom Vomero's. They are lightweight and give me good arch support for my flat feet. The only thing is to be aware of is that the models with red trim in the photos are really more like fuschia color in real life.

My husband wanted a new pair of running shoes, and felt the Pegasus was a good choice. He really likes them a lot. He has normal feet and the cushioning is perfect. I used to run in them, but had to change to something even more cushiony. These are really great shoes that just keep getting better.

I am a female who bought the man's size. It fir really well and the color is AMAZING! I have Volt and you can see me coming from a mile away. I teach fitness classes so it's important for people to be able to see my feet for the footwork and choreography in my classes. It's also great for visibility when running outside on the road. I'm sad I can only give them 5 stars. They deserve so much more!

Great shoe! I have trouble finding narrow width shoes. Nike Pegasus has the right length and width to make running and walking a pleasure. Support is right on with a light weight to take as much burdern off the legs as possible. Value is unbeatable for such a good shoe. Color is a little bright but does soften with use. All and all, still my favorite shoe for running, walking and just casual use.

I love the Pegasus. It is the best shoe I have ever owned. I bought the red ones to work out In after work. I had actually purchased orange ones but upon receiving them in the mail realized they were even too orange for me. Go Vols. Thus, I got on the website and chatted with an employee who set me up with a return and shipped me the red ones before they received the return. Great service and sale price for my favorite shoe. They are the best, comfortable, light weight, almost like I do not have shoes on.
