This backpack is great! Holds my heavy textbooks, and I love that it has a separate laptop compartment. It is very sturdy and has many different pockets! The only complaint is that it doesn't sit upright when on the floor, but all the other great features makes it worth it. I love the colors of the one I bought (RABBIT GREY/ASPHALT GREY) and it looks exactly the same in person as it does online. This is by far the best backpack I have ever had!

So many people have this backpack and I finally understand why! I always wondered what was so good about it and I bought it sort of impulsively but I love it. The compartments are really spacious, the burden on my shoulders is really eased, and there is a lot of space for everything you need. I would say that it can be a little awkward to get used to at first but after adjusting the straps and moving some stuff around it is a perfect fit!

bought this at the beginning of school year and it lasted exactly 4 weeks before both side mesh pockets started to tear. The ONLY thing ever put in the pocket was a tall slender water bottle. I returned to warranty dept and after 6 weeks I was told I could get a new backpack. While I am happy with the resolution, the turn around time is excessive and the design hasn't changed....warranty dept informed me that they are having a lot of these returned

I use this backpack every day to hold my laptop and endless papers since I am a teacher. The backpack has such great support and padding. The three zipper compartments to the backpack make it easy to keep everything organized.

I purchased this backpack in July for my daughter to start school in August here it is now October and her backpack is torn. She doesn't put hardcover books in her backpack only her paperback book and her laptop as all of her books are electronic. I bought this backpack because of the great reviews and the quality of TNF products. Had I known that this backpack would only last two months I would have purchased a backpack from somewhere else at a cheaper price and better quality. I am highly disappointed and upset with the quality of this backpack.

Have been using for a little over a month now. I like the look of the backpack, but it's very uncomfortable, even when it doesn't have much in it. I'm not a fan of the design. The straps are so stiff that they irritate my shoulders anytime I'm wearing it for more than 5 minutes. Not worth the money in my opinion.

The second pocket that is supposed to hold gear only goes half way. It then throws the whole backpack off balance, so it doesn't stand up straight by itself. It falls over!! Also in the msin pocket, the zippers always fall below the buckles at the bottom of either side and get stuck. When ever I unzip my backpack, I have to undo the buckles, zip it up, buckle the buckles.

I do love the color of this bag. The laptop pocket is wonderful and so useful. The only thing I am not a huge fan about is how comfortable it is. the arm straps bother me a tiny bit.

I love the print, however there was a flaw in the internal material of the largest compartment. I did not catch it right away. By the time I had caught it I told myself it was a little thing in the big scheme of things & to let it go. I'm having a hard time letting it go. I think it's gotten a little bigger & I'm frustrated because the backpack was / is pricy & should not have come with a defect. North Face is known for quality but this is not quality. I should have shipped it back, but this was the 3rd backpack I purchased from them & I really just wanted to start using it. (The first was from an outlet, cute, but not my 1st choice so I returned it. The 2nd was from their online store, but when I got it, it clearly did not match the online picture. So, needless to say I called them to let them know the picture was deceiving & returned the bag.) If this one didn't have the defect, I would have given it an extra star. The reason I took off one more star is because the outside pocket (not the mini one, but the next one) does not extend the length of the backpack. I googled reviews on YouTube & while I thought that was a bummer, one reviewer really liked it because he said you didn't have to stick your hand all the way down to search for things. I do not like it because it makes my bag top heavy & it never wants to stay upright. They should have left it deeper or added a pocket beneath it to distribute the weight. I typically love North Face products, but trying to get the right backpack from them has been challenging. I haven't even had it a month. I did cut the tags so I can't return it. I am waiting to see how the warranty / repair department will handle my case. I mailed in my claim without the bag because I'm not paying shipping for a defect on their end. I'm really hoping this ends well & I hope in the future they keep their backpacks so the pockets & weight can be distributed evenly.

I bought this bag primarily for work, hoping to use it occasionally for travel/hiking. The design is terrible. The middle pocket with pen holders, key chain, and other organizational features only goes down about 2/3 of the front of the bag. Because these are not items I remove from the bag regularly, they weight the bag down from the front regularly. Also, the design of the bottom of the bag prevents it from standing on its own. So when the bag whether the bag is full or empty, it will not stand on the floor or on your lap. Very annoying on a subway commute, when it is essential to be able to have your bag stand on it's own. This is my first backpack from TNF. I have had it for 5 weeks and will be getting rid of it. I recommend looking at another brand, as all of the current TNF bags seem to have this simple design flaw.

I love the backpack, it is juat as advertised. Although it is a lot bigger than I thought it was going to be. That is the only downside to it, I wish it was a little smaller. Otherwise the colors and design is great, it has many compartments and is very practical. It also has a computer protection pad, which is great. Five stars on all points, only downside is it is too big. I use mine for college

Buying this backpack was the best decision I have made. I have some back pain and usually backpacks make it so much worse. This bag was so much more comfortable I can carry my laptop and text books with no pain. I am in college so I don't carry to many books since I only have 3 classes a day but i have no problem fitting textbooks in my bag. I usually can carry my laptop, and an inch thick textbooks and 2 notebooks with some room to spare.

I'm a college student and was looking for a big enough bookbag for all my books. I'm on campus all day so I also bring snacks with me. I wanted someone big but still cute and I found it with North Face.

Being used for school. Needed a lighter weight backpack that was durable. It does not hold as much as her other one did even though the size is almost the same. Would definitely like it to be about one inch bigger by height and width, or maybe even depth.
