I wear this product to school. It has a lot of room for my notebooks and textbooks! Great laptop space. The only negative thing about this backpack is that it's very stiff, however, with continuing use I'm pretty sure it'll be less stiff.

Really love the north face borealis bookbag :) came in perfect condition, shipping was fast ! Had a lot of compartments and very stylish.

I was searching for a backpack to use for day hiking and traveling, and I have finally found the perfect backpack! It's built to last, stylish, and roomy but not bulky. Highly recommend!!

Great product for college!

I love this bag because it is great for school, college, or on a nice long day of walking. I personally use this for school and i love it to store my computer and plenty of books in it. I would recommend it to anyone that's looking for a school bag or a bag to use in general.

My daughter uses this for her everyday school day! She says its very comfortable!!!

This was as gift for my daughter who is entering 7th grade. She chose this one as it is roomier than most backpacks and has a great design. It has enough room for her MacBook which is key. She can't wait to start the school year!

I looked for a few days to be sure that I wanted this specific backpack to start college and found the one I wanted but when I went back the next day to purchase it, it was not showing up. Great design and the laptop compartment is perfect for protecting my Mac from my books.

I use my bag primarily for school purposes and to protect my laptop from any damages.

I was really excited for my backpack to arrive. Once I got it, I started putting stuff into it and I realized that the backpack doesn't actually hold as much stuff. The way the backpack is built, you end up packing up, rather than having enough room for it to expand. The backpack doesn't expand and it is very deep so I find myself digging all the way down to find my things.

I use this product for school. And it is very helpful and carry's all of my books.

I love this backpack so much! I use it for school and it has just enough room for everything. At first I was skeptical that it would be too small for all my school supplies, but I managed to fit everything in. Also, the backpack is very tall, so there is room to fit two books vertically inside. Other reviews have commented on the side pockets ripping, but this is not an issue for me because I just use a smaller 21 ounce hydroflask that does not stretch the pockets too much. Other comments have also noted that the backpack is top-heavy and falls over a lot, but all the other backpacks I have owned fell over frequently, so I don't mind that. Lastly, the color of my backpack was slightly off compared to the picture ( I ordered the garnet red, and it is more of a maroon color). However, I don't mind the slight color difference as the color of my backpack was not a very important factor for me.

This bookbag is so awesome! I love the colors and how roomy it is! the shoulder straps are also very comfortable. I will definitely purchase another bookbag from north face once this one wears out.

Great backpack for high schooler - functional and stylish

I just starting using this backpack for college today, but I already love it! It's cute and gives me good back support. My only qualm with it is that the pockets are all a little too small, so I can't fit much in them. I also just wish it stood up on its own like a previous backpack I had.

The backpack was literally black and blue. Didn't look grey at all!

I bought this for my high school age daughter. She loves the color, design and size of the backpack. We're very satisfied with this product!

I love it so much. at first it was a little stiff because it was new but after more use it's not as stiff. i love the colors and the pockets are really soft and roomy.

Great back pack, well made my daughter loves it

This was an impulse purchase a year ago after falling in love with the Black Melange color in-store, eyeballing the features, and trying it on. The first two hold up: it is still very beautiful, and the pockets are plentiful all with a durable build. I used it for travel to Egypt/Tanzania/safari. What I dislike so much about it is its shape! The pockets in the front compartment are great in theory, but when actually utilized and filled up, you realize that the depth of that compartment is shallow and so bulks up the upper half of the backpack. So when the main compartment is also reasonably filled up, and you try to sit the bag upright, that top front compartment weighs it down forward. In order to attempt to even this out, you really have to fill up the very bottom of the main compartment (aka shove them deep down in there lol), but that makes those items so difficult to access. The straps as well are problematic. They are so incredibly stiff! You try putting it on, but the shape of the pack forces you to wear it high on the back like the model in the picture, so you need to tighten straps once it's on. If your pack is quite full and heavy, and you try to take it off without loosening the straps first, you will struggle, and maybe even hurt yourself like I have... bruising and scraping my arm. Also, it keeps this shape conforming to your back bc there is apparently a sheet of metal in there, which explains why it's such a heavy backpack for its size when empty. The straps were stiff when I tried in the store, but assumed they would break in a bit - never did. Overall truly hate but cannot return. For the money spent, I do still try to use, but only if I know I'm not going to be actively taking it on and off.
