I was worried that this backpack would be too big for me because I'm 5'1" and under 115lb. Although it does look a little big on me, the size is necessary for its features and practicality. I've been using the backpack for work and school everyday and I'm able to comfortably carry everything I need (ipad, notebooks, lunch bag, sweater, wallet, etc). I just recently took it on a 7hr hike and I was able to fit a 2L CamelBak bladder, a water bottle, snacks, sweater, walking sticks, and several other necessary items. The different compartments really help me stay organized, and I love the side mesh pockets because I can my phone and keys there for easy access!

Love this back pack! Got it for traveling, it has multiple pockets so great for packing can't wait to use it!

The North Face backpack is very trendy in schools. Overall it's a great backpack with durability for kids using it a lot to and from classes and sports.

I use this backpack for school. I made a great choice of getting black color so it does not get dirty, the pattern is fun and the accent zippers in gold color give a nice touch to the design. I am able to fit my laptop, plus books, ipad and lunch box and still has room for more!

I have used this backpack to travel and for classes. Holds everything I need it to. My computer books and travel items fit securely and I never worry about items in bag. Looks great for career and personal use. Absolutely no cons

I used this backpack flying across country and as well as going hiking in the mountains. Very practical. Lots of pockets to carry just about anything

I purchased this backpack for my daughter starting college in September 2016. It was the perfect backpack with a stylish design, and held her Mac book inside with great protection from damage. It was extremely comfortable walking across Alabama's campus. Plenty of space for all her school stuff as well as a place to hold her water bottle and personal belongings. The BEST thing about this backpack is the EXCELLENCE IN QUALITY! Her back was stolen 3 weeks ago still looking brand new so I ordered her a new one to replace it! Can't find a better quality backpack for such a reasonable price!

Overall I think the product is great. I'm using this bag for school. My only problem is that the book bag is a little small. I can fit about 3 2inch binders in there before the book bag is at its limit

This is the best backpack I've ever owned. Its comfortable, has a place for all my school supplies, and I think I'll be using it even after I've finished college. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because it doesn't hold as many books as I want it to. I can usually fit my computer, two binders, a notebook, and one textbook in there, along with pens and stuff. Theres just days where I need to carry more than that, so I end up carrying a book or two in my arms. Not disappointed at all though!

I previously had the Jester that North Face had circa August 2013. I loved it. It had perfect pockets and small, unique storage areas. It was also very comfortable and lightweight. 6 years later, I figured it was time for a new backpack. I got the Borealis because it had more pockets than the Jester and I do love the color of it and how it looks. However, I miss the pockets my old Jester had! The front pocket went all the way to the bottom and the zipper was huge. I just feel like it fit all of my school stuff better. I've also noticed my backpack is a little top heavy now because of how my stuff sits in it. It's like I don't have enough at the bottom of the big pocket and the top pocket puffs out. Just some adjustments I have to make, I'm still happy with my purchase. I will forever buy North Face backpacks, they are so comfortable and look great :)

I have really long school days and have to take a lot of things to campus. This bag fits everything I need and more! I love putting a sweatshirt in the bungee chords on the front and using the side straps to attach my lunchbox to my bag. I love how organized I can keep things and how protected my laptop is in its own pocket!

The product it self is very comfortable and roomy for school books

Bought this backpack for my 12yr old daughter. She uses it everyday for school, and always packs a hydro-flask. Holes wore in the water bottle pockets in first 20 days of use. The material NorthFace uses for the water bottle pockets is thin and non-durable. Many water bottles these days are metal and quickly wear through the thin material. My daughter said once holes appeared in her pockets, she started to observe the NorthFace backpacks her friends have and noticed many of them all have holes in the same place on the water bottle pockets. It's a flawed design.

I purchased that backpack at the end of August because a lot of people suggested it to me. I am in Med School and I needed a backpack that could carry my heavy books. I was excited when I received Borealis Backpack. I expected the backpack to have more room, it did not. The compartment that holds the laptop is great! I have not had any problems with my laptop. The only issue I am having is that I now have a hole at the top of my backpack. Its right by the laptop compartment. I am not sure if it's because I carry heavy books or something. Can someone please help me? Has this happened to any of you all?

REASON I BOUGHT IT: I normally use Herschel backpacks for their nice simplistic style and swag. However, they're not very comfy when carrying multiple notebooks and a laptop. I bought this backpack on a whim because my back was actually sore from packing up my Herschel too much. I was nervous that it would look bulky, but it really doesn't. THIS BAG IS A DREAM! FEATURES: -It has a lovely laptop compartment with amazing cushion. It has another pouch for more notebooks and textbooks. It has another pouch that's about half as deep for pens, my phone, lotion, hand sanitizer, and more. Then it has a smaller fleece-lined pouch in the front where I put my wallet, chapstick, and keys. -Next, we have the unbelievably comfortable cushioning in the back of the bag AND on the straps. There are TWO side pockets for water bottles that both have straps for a more secure fit. FIRST USE: I packed it up with my 15" MacBook Pro, 2 notebooks, a folder, a thick workbook, my little Nike Zip Up Hoodie and other accessories & I could not feel a single pound on my shoulders. It also did not look bulky, which is a PLUS. OVERALL COMMENTS: In conclusion, I hope you added this backpack to your cart because it will be worth every cent! I am a junior in college and I cannot believe I am just now experiencing the luxury of having this North Face backpack. IT REALLY IS WORTH THE PRICE TAG.

I use the back for school, before this one I had a Jansport backpack and they are durable but it hurt my backpack a lot and this backpack does not hurt my back at all. But it is a little small but it is so light weight.

I love this product amazing quality. My back doesn't hurt like it did when I had heavy things in my other backpack. Very good for travel and school.

I bought this to replace my old black north face backpack, which I absolutely loved for school. This one is designed horribly. The middle pocket doesn't go to the bottom of the bag, so not only is there not enough room to store items there, but there is an excess of room in the main pouch. However, since the top pocket only goes halfway down, books, pencil cases, etcetera get stuck at the bottom. Switching back to my old north face backpack and taking this back to the store.
