I wanted so badly to love these, but unfortunately the toe creased every time I stepped and caused a painful pressure point across my toes. I tried to break them in around the house to no avail. I'll be returning these.

I ordered this hiking shoe because it comes in a wide width and I wanted to be able to wear thick socks. But it barely fits over thin socks. Also, I have really high arches that are hard to maneuver into boots, but I've never had trouble with a front lace-up before. It turns out that the tongue is fixed just above the second lace hole so it can't be loosened past that point. It's way too tight across the arch and can't be adjusted. These are going back ASAP!

Don’t think I will purchase from Zappos again. Quality control is a joke. Boots were used with visible mud and marks. To top it off someone put a toy mouse inside one of the boots!

Stiff toe box, no give at all. Materials and construction look and feel cheap. My $40 boots from Target are better made.

At first, I was happily impressed with these, comfortable, providing good support and traction. But, less than three years into wear, which was not very frequently, the SOLES started to Detach!!! I used Gorilla Glue to re-set, and have worn sparingly since Spring of 2024....Not waterproof, either!

Worst hiking shoes ever, worn it once on a 1.5 mile hike and it killed my feet. I've had better experience hiking with Nike running shoes. Don't buy this! It's not worth your money!

These were a poor fit for me, and the soles felt stiff and cheap.

I’ve tried these boots a couple of times, but couldn’t get a good fit—the toe box is too small. Also the light, stiff sole didn’t feel comfortable. This is too bad because they are at a great price point. It’s back to Merrell for me.
I'd also recommend:

I bought these thinking they were comfortable but very quickly I realized there was a problem. The tongue will not stay in place. And then I called Columbia only to find they don't stand behind their products.

I bought these in 2020 for a trip to Scotland in 2021. Covid canceled my plans. The hiking boots sat in my closet until last month. I finally wore them in Scotland, no major hiking, just uneven surfaces. The heel separated. Of course the warranty won't cover these boots. Fell apart on first outing. Not a very reliable boot.

I wanted to like these boots. They had amazing reviews, and looked great while being comfortable until I started walking in them. I walked around the house with them to try them on and noticed a lot of pressure at the seam was pressing down on my toes. Not long after, my toes started tingling and going numb. Extremely disappointing.

I was so excited to get these and when I did it was a huge letdown. There's really only one problem, but it's so bad that these are unwearable. Every time you take a step, the top of the shoe creases not where your foot bends, but directly in top of my toes. There's a little support on the very front to prevent you from stubbing your foot, but it ends way too close to the end and causes this problem that I don't foresee going away with any amount of breaking in or special care. Big disappointment.

These are extremely uncomfortable with the bend in the toe box when you walk being in the wrong place (to far forward). It cuts directly into your toe instead of bending and flexing with your toes. I really wanted to like these as they seem perfect in every other way, but the pain to walk across the house in them was crippling so I returned them.

I ordered a full size larger than normal in order to increase my chances of them being wide enough. I did order a pair of Women's Wide size 7.5. They're too narrow; don't seem wide at all. I'll be returning these, the 4th pair of boots in the last 4 weeks.

I wore these on a few short hikes in the Hudson Valley area, and they were ok. A little stiff, and frustratingly, the tongue popped forward constantly, which really minimized ankle support, and caused me to stop to tighten the laces frequently. Then, I made the mistake of wearing them while hiking Mt. Lafayette last week. The usual discomforts persisted, but when I started my descent on a longer hike, the heel cups began to dig into the sides of my ankles. It was excruciating. I thought I was going to have to finish the hike barefoot. If this were what hiking boots felt like, no one would hike. I may as well have been hiking in ski boots. True agony with every downhill step. Run away from these boots.

I bought these to walk in the snow. I wore them for the first time this morning with heavy alpaca socks. The toes of my socks were damp and my toes were frozen. I was worried I have frost bite by the time I got home. Couldn't wait to get them off to warm up feet.

Too big (nearly a whole size even with thick socks- I double checked because I thought they just have sent me the wrong size!) Toe creases as you step because of thin inner lining and poor fit. I tried this in a smaller size as well and had the same issues with creasing and general lack of cushion.

I am normally a big fan of anything Columbia. Unfortunately these hiking boots not so much. I get it that hiking boots are different and need support. But these had no flex at all and truly felt like hard cardboard.

Do NOT buy these shoes if you value your safety!!! I have fallen THREE TIMES from the laces getting caught in these unnecessary pegs and have torn both of my knees open. They are gray for comfort but SOMETHING needs to be done about the safety of WALKING IN THEM!!

Love the look and style of these and they felt comfortable until I took a few steps. The crease in the toe box was pinching my toes and I know they will not be comfortable for long walks or hiking. I tried on a 1/2 size smaller too and that had the same issue. I had to send them back sadly. There are several reviews similar to this so I hopefully Columbia can fix the issue, the boots are great looking!

I wanted to love these boots so much because they are cute but the fit was awful, nearly painful. The ball of my foot ached after just wearing these in the house (to test them out) for 20-30 minutes. Maybe my foot just needs extra cushioning, but I found these to be incredibly uncomfortable... unfortunately!

These HURT! After a moderate 5mile hike, my ankles were bruised and my feet were in agony. This was on a special vacation in the Smoky Mountains, and I had to find a local shoe store to buy other shoes to wear for the rest of the trip.

I had a last minute mix up with another pair of boots and ended up wearing these on a recent backpacking trip. They were extremely uncomfortable! I had so many blisters on every single inch of my feet (all around my heels, toes on both sides of my feet, etc) by the second day out that I could barely continue the trip. While some blisters were to be expected, this was over the top! The shoes also gave me blisters on the tops of my big toes because of the way the fabric folds inward to press on your toes with each step! Poor design in my opinion. I love wearing Columbia's clothes but would definitely recommend buying better quality shoes.
