This is my 3rd pair of Columbia boots. The first 2 I bought are fantastic and the fit is excellent. These, the same size and width as the others, fit weird. They seem longer, but more narrow. The laces extend too far down to the toe, that makes for awkward walking pressure. The eyelets for the laces at the ankle are too far apart. They just fit weird. However, the quality is excellent, as always.

I have two other pairs of Columbia hiking boots in a size 9. I'm typically an 8.5 but for me, Columbia usually runs small. I ordered an 8.5 in these boots and they were huge! I was going to exchange them for an 8, but found another pair at the store that were on sale so I got those. They were really attractive, just too big.

I fell in love with these boots, but, was so disappointed that even a 8 1/2 wide was too small. That is my normal size. I was so excited that they came in a wide width. They are good looking boots and seem to be well constructed.

These seemed very promising but after I inserted my insoles and walked around, the break in my right foot hit the top of my big toe. This made them unwearable. Otherwise, these seemed fine and keepers but there's no way these will work for me.

Nice boot. Plenty of room in the toe box. There wasn’t enough arch support for my high arches so I sent them back.

I bought these boots for casual day hikes. They were comfortable when first put on. But the front of the shoes started to crush into my toes when I went hiking. Thought I'd wear it out and gave them a second chance but nothing changed.

Not a bad looking boot, but the trim around the laces dug into the top of my foot when I flexed while walking on flat ground, I'm sure it would be very uncomfortable hiking and didn't want to chance them getting more comfortable when broken in. I've never had that problem before. The boots were not even tight. I purposely bought a size wide for extra comfort. The quality of the boot was just OK. I wouldn't consider them real hiking boots. Not particularly supportive, and not particularly cushiony for a walking boot for me at least.

I was happy with the size because I purchased online. I followed the size guide and found it really helpful. The shoes also great since the first time I wear for city walk in Tbilisi, Georgia. It work good on my feet without break in. I used the shoes for short trekking, I feel heard a little bit around heels when climb up. When I used on trekking traits full of snow, my feet got wet. So I think it not good for winter. But in general I'm really happy with it especially I don't feel any serious pain on my feet which is the best :)

Comfortable light-weight hiking boots, nice fit, but they leak! My first pair started leaking profusely on a hike through dewy brush and they weren't even a year old. Returned them for a second pair. Yesterday was walking through dewy grass on a hike and again, they began leaking. Under a year old. Upon closer inspection, I noticed little gaps have developed where the sole is attached to the shoe on the side. My next pair of hiking boots will not be Columbia.

I tried several pairs of mid-height hiking boots in size 10B. These were comparable in length and width to most others. I didn't like the high front, low back top of the shank--if felt like it wouldn't give me all the support I wanted. The soles were softer and more flexible than others I tried, so when I stepped on something similar to a rock on my living room floor, I really felt it. To me, that doesn't bode well for comfort on hiking trails. There's also not a lot of arch support, though that could be fixed with an insole. These are getting returned for sure.

Everything about the boot is good EXCEPT that no matter how I lace them, the tongue comes un-tucked within a minute, which lets in twigs, thorns and burrs, which gather around my ankle. It acts like a catcher's mitt, which isn't good when you're working in and around thorny blackberry bushes. This design flaw makes me not want to recommend this boot.

The shoes are pretty. However, they run very narrow. The material is hard and buckles in the toes when you walk. It feels like it will pinch my toes off when moving at a normal pace. This isn't the normal rate for new boots needing breaking in. They are so snug they cut my circulation off and if I leave them loosened the tops bulge out. The laces are entirely to short as well for any comfortable adjustment. I could try them in a wider size, but I am not sure that would change the pinch points. I normally wear a 10 narrow, which can run a little large on me, especially in boots, but it gives my feet room to swell, so I ordered the standard to be safe.- That is not the case this time. Which is sad as the length seems perfect, which is a rare occasion for me in any shoe.

I run between a 7.5 and an 8, so ordered an 8. It runs just a tad big both in length and width, but I have narrow feet so anyone with normal feet is probably fine. The shoes in general have a great design. I like the simplistic look of them and the shape of the toe - though I wish the brown wasn't so deep in color. Columbia could get a lot of traction selling these shoes with a lighter brown and some colorful laces. The shoes do feel a little bit cheaply made compared to other Columbia shoes. I'm returning them because of the wide fit, however.

I was afraid to order these because of the difference in reviews but they looked good enough to give it a try. I ordered my normal sneaker size to wear with sweat socks but could only fit these barefoot. There is no room for an odor eater/thicker socks. And fortunately there was no creasing at the toe whatsoever (which was the main reason why I almost did not order these). I reordered a half size larger. A plus- because of the very rounded toe these do not make feet look big.

Great quality, light, true size for me, 7. Problems: boots creased & hurt toes; can not return after wearing them outside. Not sure how to test hiking boots without hiking?

I'm a fruit cutter who works in a 53 degree prep-room with water everywhere. It's impossible to stay dry especially my feet. When I wear them, there's always water. My feet feel very cold in these shoes, like there wet, but when I check there dry just really cold in the front of the shoe near my top two toes. I'm not sure why. But I've had them 4 days and noticed it every time at work. So I'm returning these. These shoes are stylish but not made for Produce Prep-rooms.

The other reviews were so right. These boots are fantastic if you only plan to stand still in them! On the first step, the boots crease in the absolute worst location and create real pain. Because the boots are so beautiful, I tried my hardest to power through, but these are just plain miserable. Someone at Columbia needs to try/test their products. I'm sending them back.

I purchased this exact brand of shoe 8 years ago and loved them. I decided to replace them with the exact same shoe. I had a heck of a time with deliveries. The first delivery was stolen, the second returned because the support person told me I could deliver them to an Amazon locker but she was wrong. Finally got the shoes yesterday and tried them on. They felt tight. I compared them to my old shoes. These are slightly smaller and therefore very tight. I decided to wear them to see if I could break them in. My left foot felt very strange. This may be due to my own physiology not the shoe. Today my left knee and my left leg are in horrific pain. Sadly, after all of the trouble that I went to to get these shoes, I am going to have to return them.

these are my go to boots for work around the farm.EXCEPT they really are NOT very waterproof. they are comfortable, sturdy, supportive, you can wear them for hours. BUT when just walking my horses out to their pastures for less than 200' over a mowed grass field by the time I get 4 horses out my socks are WET!! They seem to have a barrier inside the boot that is maybe meant to keep your feet dry but it really doesn't work! I have bought at least 4 pairs of these in the past couple of years. the longest ones kept dry for about a year, the most recent ones for ONLY 1 MONTH!! Come on Columbia!! You can do better than that!!

The entire toe box was scuffed and dirty. It fit better than the 6D but I will not keep a worn abused shoe. Both shoes worn and scuffed. Shame on Zappos.

The toe box crease is for real. I saw other reviews talking about how the crease across the toes is quite uncomfortable and it’s true. There is a significant crease that occurs during toe-off that digs right into and across your toes. I don’t see how anyone can hike with this issue happening. Unfortunate because the boots look great and are nice and light weight.

I was very disappointed that this hiking boot, presumably intended for hiking and therefore long trek, where comfort is paramount, came with a flat and dismally thin insole. From the moment I stepped into them, I could tell there was no support or comfort provided from the insole, the point of contact with your foot.

I would call these wonderfully comfortable, but unfortunately the backs of the ankles dig into my Achilles so hard that i was limping after wearing them to the office to break them in one day. I have purchased shoe stretchers to try and make them bearable for an upcoming trip.

I bought the green Newton Ridge Plus and I really wanted to love them. The color is great, loved the color. I got a 9.5 which is what I wear in several other brands. I felt they were a tad short and the material felt cheap. I thought I was getting leather instead of synthetic. Had I ordered them for casual wear I would have kept them but I didn't feel they would hold up to traipsing around in wet woods.

This boot is good-looking at a great price but the crease across the toe when walking was painful. This might not happen with everyone, but it’s being returned.
