I bought these for a trip and ended up not using them. However, I owned a pair a few years ago and wore them hiking and really liked them! I changed it up with the color, feel as if these will go with more. Excited to get some wear out of them

Overall great boot for the price point. My only complaint is I wish it had slightly more arch support, as the low and stiff toe box prevents the ability to wear the shoe with an insert. However, I just have very high arches so if you don't or have flat feet this isn't something to worry about. Boot is very sturdy and seems to have good traction. The amount of padding inside the boot is decent, but could be better!

I honestly love these hiking boots, I did however have to size down by half a size. Overall, amazing quality and grips great on hiking trails with harsh terrain so I think it's totally worth the price you pay. I would also like to add that if you have skinny ankles like me, the top part of the boot tends to open up a bit when you hike but tightening the laces helps a lot!

SO CUTE! Felt amazing to walk on but I noticed it also gave me a blister. I have pretty thin size 7 feet, they fit snug.

These boots are sturdy, well-made, and are waterproof so serve my needs. I usually wear a size 6 Wide shoe. The Wide size made all the difference compared to my last pair of another brand which did not come in Wide. A little more padding in the footbed would be nice in these, so I put in thin inserts that I had on hand. That did help, but may look for thicker inserts. I haven't worn a boot that comes over the ankle before, so that will take a little getting used to. The lacing system makes it easy to get them on and off. Sure was nice to have dry feet after my walk this rainy day in the Pacific NW!

Very nice boots, but too narrow even though I ordered the 7 wides. I already have a pair of size 7's and they seemed to be the same width. Had to return them, unfortunately.

So far, I really like these boots. They are a little bit too big. I typically wear an 8 or 9, so I opted for a 9 since I was planning on wearing these during the winter with heavy socks. But even with the heavy socks, they are a tad too big. I probably would have returned them had there been 8 s available. Overall, though, these are really nice boots for the price. They are sturdy, yet very lightweight. The tread is pretty good. It was super icy on the hilly trail on my first walk with these and they performed pretty well. I only slipped a few times on the icy hills I really like the sage green and grey combo. I usually don't opt for color when black or grey is an option, but the green is pretty understated and pleasant.

Great shoes, waterproof in 4 inches of snow, and roomy inside for boot socks. My only issue is they are stiff out if the box, but it's already getting better with breaking them in. I've worn them on two hikes. No blisters either.

I will be putting in arch supports and wearing heavy socks which will take up the extra room. I am glad they are long enough, which is constantly the biggest concern when I buy from one manufacturer to another. I wear a women's 10 in Asics running shoes and ordered a size 10 for these. Seems just about right. They look good too.

These were perfect "beginner" hiking boots for my trip to the Grand Tetons. We did a 20 mile hike on a rainy and snowy day and my feet stayed warm and dry. After 20 miles, my feet were extremely sore, so I might consider getting inserts in the future. I am guessing there are more expensive hiking boots with a little more arch support out there as well. I sized .5 up so that my feet wouldn't be smashed.

The boot just did not fit my wife's foot. Nothing really wrong with the boot at all. It looked well made with excellent tread.

I loved the steadiness and it's stability while hiking yet I would have loved more cushion.

I think they could use a little more vision but nothing a insole can't fix. I opted for wide and they were a good fit

I bought these for year-round trail hiking with my dog. I've used them a couple of times so far. They are light, comfortable, and stayed dry through puddles and small creeks. Love the price too!

I purchased 6 Wide. I'm usually a 6-6.5 in all shoes. I have bunions so opted for a wide to accommodate them, and the width was perfect. HOWEVER the length was at least a whole size too big. I even used the measuring chart since some there were a lot of mixed reviews on sizing. I loved everything about the show and gave it 4 stars for sizing to be way off the mark. I needed them this weekend for a hike, but now have to order another pair in size 5 and hope that fits better.

Other reviewers mentioned the buckling at the toe. My pair does it as well but I use them mainly for bike commute so my foot is rarely bent anyway. Not super warm, I wore my thickest socks and my feet still got very cold (30ish degrees Fahrenheight?) There is a decent amount of water resistance but in a downpour, your feet are definitely drenched. But they look great! I’ll be keeping them but not buying again

Extremely comfortable after a few days. Once you break them in they are amazing. Removed.one star for the initial discomfort. Look great as well, good ankle stability and support.

At the top where the laces tie, the tongue of my boots pouches away from the boot. It stays curved upward away from my foot rather than laying flat when walking. Has anyone figured out how to make the tongue lay flat?

Was looking for a lightweight, waterproof hiking boot to replace my 20 year old hiking boots. Found it in the Newton Ridge Plus. My old hikers are great--I love them. But they're not waterproof, they're kind of heavy, and they're more narrow in the toe box which means my feet are tired and cramped at the end of a 10 mile hike. These boots solve all of the above problems. Wore them on a 7+ mile hike today and my feet felt as good at the end of the hike as at the beginning. They were a bit stiff at first but seem to be loosening up. Completely waterproof keeping my feet warm and dry. Toe box is sufficiently wide and they're easy to clean. The only down side is that there's not much cushioning (1/2 star off for that) but it was easily remedied by inserting a gel insole. I usually wear a size 10 or 10.5 depending on the shoe and I went with the larger size here to accommodate thicker hiking socks. It was a good choice. All in all, I'm very pleased with these hiking boots and look forward to many hikes with happy feet. Another good Columbia product.
