Best boot for me! I buy them every year and am on my tenth pair. I can walk so many miles without my feet hurting. They hold up well but I like having a new pair every year and use my old ones for yard work. Easy to care for.

For the record, I am 72 years old with arthritic feet and I spend a lot of time outdoors. These boots are very comfortable, well designed and feel perfect. They have the right protection for my ankles without feeling heavy.

While comfortable, there is no toe guard and the toes get holes quickly - the material on the toes is not durable. I've paid $40+ at a cobbler to have a toe guard installed and won't buy another pair of these. They've sold these for years, and while comfortable, they are disposable shoes given the toe guard issue and the quick wear down of the sole. Daily wearer.

The website was uncomplicated, and it was easy to find my desired category to make my purchase.
The boots are comfortable. I've had a few pairs and I never get blisters from them. They are durable and fit my lifestyle.
They are designed a little more narrow, otherwise, they fit just right.

I have had these boots for five years and they have been a great boot. I have put many miles on these and have been through all types of terrain.

Good cushion and support, beautiful variety of colors, happy with the ability to lace them up with ease, 4/5 because i thought they were taller up the ankle. They still give good ankle support without height!

This hiking book is perfect for getting muddy and doing pretty low-key hiking. Its a great fit around the ankle especially, and not too heavy.

I tried this boot on in the store yesterday (3/5/24). The fit is very comfortable and secure, distributing weight well and balancing out. I did not purchase these, as I decided to wait awhile, however, I have owned a pair of Columbia hiking boots that I was very pleased with for suburban hiking. I do wonder whether the designers would consider offering a half chap (similar to what equestrians wear) as an accessory for the hiking boots, as gaiters are not as durable for hiking in tall grass areas or even light industrial conditions.
With regard to fit: ALL of the shoes (regardless of brand) tend to run small. It may depend on origin of manufacture. This has always been true of clothing in the past. Different brands are not always sized the same, and it is dubious that a consumer will find the absolute perfect fit unless the product is custom made.

Great! They worried me at the beginning, but they just took like a month to break in.

For the past maybe 10 years (?), these have been my go-to boots for almost everything - walking, hiking, even running and sports. I'm very sad to report, after purchasing probably 14-16 pairs over the years, that they've changed the way they make them and the toe box is now too narrow especially on the outer edge. At least this was the case for the last 4 pairs I tried. Maybe they're trying to save a few pennies per pair by switching manufacturers? Who knows!
All I can say is I would have gladly continued buying one or two pairs a year for the rest of my life, but, unfortunately, they are now completely unwearable for me. Unless Columbia changes them back to how they were, I will - with much regret - have to find a different shoe.

I've had these boots now for a few weeks. I hike 2 x daily, 5 days a week on the trails in East Bay Area, California - currently during the rainy season. I go off trail, run on rocks, in mud and need good traction and waterproofing. These work great. I also love the design of the laces.
Before wearing them, I gave them a coat of Kiwi's Wet Pruf to add longevity to the leather. I'm so happy Columbia released an all black leather mid length hiking boot with metal laces rings. I've been through a lot of their boots that have failed in various areas. They finally got it right. Except...
...the craftsmanship is to be desired. This would've been 5 stars except for internal stitching is rough and not smooth, causing blisters on the TOP of my feet where the skin is so delicate. Uggh. Thinking I'm gonna have to get some sand paper to soften it up.

When i finally wore out my first pair, i was overjoyed to find the same style still available. I've worn them in corn fields, bean fields, deep mud, and deeper snow. I may not be a hiker, but I'm definitely a worker. These are so comfortable, and i love the way they look. I'm a Columbia fan forever, as are my cats. Tying my boots up in the morning = PLAY TIME. I go thru a lot of shoestrings.

Purchased these as my Cabela hikers were too tight over a bunion that developed after I broke a toe. Width wise they’re great for that, but like other Columbia footwear I have to purchase separate insoles. The ones that come in the shoes are too thin.

Comfortable from the first moment and just what I need. I bought these for snowshoeing and haven't had the opportunity to try them on the trail, but for day to day walking in snow and rain they have been great.

I do not like this hiking shoe. Merrells were much better. This shoe was hard and painful to break in. After broke in they are still not comfortable. Not great for long hikes or all day wear. They do keep your feet dry but also very cold during winter hikes, even with a couple pairs of socks. They do last awhile. I have had mine for years and haven't had to replace them yet. I might anyway, just because I would like something more comfortable. If your shopping for a hiking shoe, I would pick something else. There are way more comfortable hiking shoes out there.

I bought these on Sep 2022, they are part of a whole lot of other boots I have, I have been using these recently and frequently. One day at the supermarket, my laces got intertwined between both boots, and I almost fell, the other day as I was getting ready to go down the stairs it happened again. After those two incidents, I have been very cautious, and make sure I tie my laces properly. Today it happened again, I they got hooked on the other shoe and I fell in the sidewalk, hurt my knee and hand. I will never use these again, nor give to any one since they are extremely dangerous to wear.

I purchased these boots for my wife she says they are amazing and extremely comfortable. They keep her feet dry even on the wettest days.

I bought this specifically for my Greenland trip and it did not disappoint! I was afraid I would slip and fall on ice but I felt assured with the grip of this boots while hiking. I love the marionberry color!

These fit well enough but they are quite rigid. Good for more serious hiking than what I need them for...basically walking on mostly flat hiking trails and other general running around. But really good boots for the money once broken in, I think.

The leather-like material made my feet sweat. I should stick with fabric-based shoes.

we eloped and hiked all day so i ordered these in white to wear with my wedding dress. aesthetically, they were perfect. so cute & exactly what i wanted. i read they didn't require much of a break-in period, so i didn't do much before wearing them on our big day. i definitely didn't wear the right hiking socks (we ordered fun socks to wear instead) and got a couple blisters. but that was from the non-moisture wicking socks rather than the boots. overall, they were very comfortable. i wore them for about 8 hours and we were basically walking/standing that entire time and my feet only got a little sore. even the next day, my feet/legs were not sore. so i would definitely recommend them!!
